A quick note - I didn’t apply powder on top of this foundation. A few reasons, if you have seen some of my previous videos, you would know that in my case, powder never helps set anything for me, it just makes it matte for about 5 minutes, thats. It setting. That's probably why you think you'd be only able to get away with wearing this for an hour max. It's a social media makeup
I personally use full coverage because anything lighter than that seems to just disappear on my skin. I get super oily and products slip off. If I do a whole routine with primers and high coverage and setting powders and sprays, I might still have some makeup left at the end of the day. I tried using a tinted moisturizer once and it vanished in about 20 minutes. The main selling point is that it is FINALLY a formula for dry skin, every single foundation in the market I have ever tried is not for my skin. Even the so called hydrating foundations do not work for my dry skin. The market is flooded with foundations for oily/combo skins, yall really don’t need another one. So let us dry queens have our foundation, because for us, it’s really working. Thank yew.
Thank you for your honesty. I’m 53, with oily skin as well. I don’t know who to trust any more 😩😩😩 I’ve wasted so much money on beauty products, until you showed me how to spot filters. When I see your videos and your brother’s videos, I know I’m going to get honest reviews.
For some reason when I looked it up at Ulta originally I thought it said 58.00 USD. I guess I looked wrong. $38.00 USD is still to costly in my opinion. But I personally dont think it necessary to spend that much much money on essentials like foundation, concealer, eye primer, mascara and eye liner. There are other great drug store products that do the job, sometimes even better then these luxury brands. But that's just my opinion 🤷
I've been waiting for someone to honestly review this foundation!! I'm so glad you decided to give it a Look. Everyone else who reviewed this was so dramatic about it. Edit: oh dear, well I can't say I'm surprised good thing I didn't waste my money on the foundation. I have super oily skin this would have been a nightmare for me!
I think JS's review was honest. He really tried to like it and said it was beautiful for a couple of hours of short-term wear, but after about half a day of wear, it was so oily that it started sliding down his face and creasing like crazy. Not worth the $38 when you don't even get a mirror in the compact and you can't get a full day's wear. I don't care how you feel about him, his makeup reviews are legit.
Have I told you I love you? Cause I do! That second application was beautiful. All the other reviewers cake it on like a face mask so it becomes cakey really wuick
I bought in to the hype and even though I don't generally return makeup... I will be returning this. I moisturized the crap out of my face 30 minute before I used it and then used a hydrating primer (live in MI and have slightly dehydrated skin) it clung to things I didn't know I had, also even though I don't have any known allergies this made my face itchy and start to peel
also, i really don’t understand why everyone is okay with buying this? it’s not okay to review/buy from jeffree star and other companies, but it’s okay to buy from KVD beauty? i mean, is she even with the company anymore or is it just using her name? someone fill me in or something
@@c.bsmith5086 she was bought out about a year ago and apparently gets absolutely no proceeds from KVD anymore. Also kvd doesn't stand for Kat von d anymore the initials are some Latin words. This is the first kvd product I have purchased in about 4 years. It was a total let down and now I will probably not get anything else because the advertising with influencers obviously fudging how good it is ( like there are maybe 3 bad reviews I've seen) is just not good
Dimethicone is so not skin friendly, and yet soooo many products keep putting it in. I'm so glad I read the label before buying because it would have dried me out even more, and given me whiteheads. Ew.

Honestly I know only the most honest & genuine opinion is going to come from you. I am more combo/oily with slightly dehydrated skin so I know this will probably move a ton. Thank you for your honest review ❤️
I got this and I was more shocked at how weightless it felt rather than the coverage. I use the KVD brush too so I think they really stuck the brush in rather than getting the amount you need
@@noemid2011 I have dry skin and this foundation is a holy grail for me cause normally full coverage foundations are made for oily skin and make my face look like cardboard. This is a balm and has a dewy finish so ofc it isn’t meant for oilier skin they have the Lock it one for that
I really appreciate your more "down to earth" approach. I feel as though most youtube MUAs are way too animated for my preference and they typically apply products very heavily. I like that you prefer and demonstrate a more wearable look as well.
You and JS are the only people who have honestly reviewed this foundation. Wearing it all day and then showing it’s wear is what we truly need ! Any foundation can look great in the first 30 minutes. We all need to see what happens after 5 hours and a day or night of wearing it. I hate nothing more than going to the bathroom and doing a mirror check and seeing bare patches or spots of cluttered foundation. You can for sure get a better full coverage foundation for cheaper that will last and not go patchy on oily skin or stick to dry skin patches. Thanks so much for this video.
The best foundation I've ever used-the ordinary serum foundation. I was in awe. It made it look like my skin was flawless! I bought 4 more today lol I've tried so many expensive foundations, I've spent hundreds trying to find the perfect one., and wouldn't you know it the 7$ one beats them all!
I can’t stand full coverage. I use to use nothing but full coverage, and now I use missha bb and rare beauty concealer. I just don’t like that makeup feeling anymore.
I really loved the way you put on this foundation, I saw all the influencers put it on with that flat brush and I thought the result was so cakey and unnatural Well done really nice critique
I agree w you about influencers “loving” things too much. What inevitably happens is the subscriber will go buy the product and it’ll happen a couple of times and then they’ll stop following that influencer because they realize that they are just trying to either make money on a product or get free stuff sent to them for promoting.. I have bought into it b4 .. then unsubscribe bc I cannot trust them. I try to make excuses for them or say”not my skin type” ..but then after careful exam I pick up on light reflections and just get annoyed. I love how you keep it real❤️
I was stuck a couple of years ago suffering from FOMO and my makeup collection began getting stupid. Over the past year or two I've just completely stopped buying hyped makeup and I don't often watch makeup reviews now unless I watch it for the person, e.g like you! Now I just buy the odd piece of makeup that really makes me happy and I haven't been disappointed since!

So let us dry queens have our foundation, because for us, it’s really working. Thank yew.
When he said “This has been fine...” I thought of the dog drinking coffee sitting in a burning room meme 😂
I refuse to pay $60.00 for a foundation. So even when it went viral, I was like NOPE pass. Glad to know I wasn't wrong inthinking is was overhyped 🤣🤣
Omg isn’t that like Dior prices?😳🥴
isn’t it 38?
For some reason when I looked it up at Ulta originally I thought it said 58.00 USD. I guess I looked wrong. $38.00 USD is still to costly in my opinion. But I personally dont think it necessary to spend that much much money on essentials like foundation, concealer, eye primer, mascara and eye liner. There are other great drug store products that do the job, sometimes even better then these luxury brands. But that's just my opinion 🤷
I just have to say the side with the powder brush, is the most realistically beautiful foundation application Ive ever seen😍
"I don't usually post on Friday but" well bless you sir, cause I really needed it. Day is only half over and I'm already feleing so done
The only beauty guru we can trust at this point! Thank you!
I've been waiting for someone to honestly review this foundation!! I'm so glad you decided to give it a
Look.
Totally agree but mostly just wanted to say I super love your username XD
@@summerbummer1930 Mine? Or Funky's? I love yours, too. Thank you, if you meant me.
@@bijou3000 exactly. And his skin is seriously almost perfect. I trust Robert and Jeffree's reviews on foundation. Bailey's too.
@@vanityplates3125 Exactly, on all three accounts.
This is why I trust Robert he is honest and always gives the real
Deal with these viral products. Thanks Robert
Robert on a Friday??? Yay!!! It is indeed GOOD friday
@@c.bsmith5086 the company is just using her name. KVD is not with the brand anymore
Ew.
I have never returns a foundation before....ever. I sold this immediately. It was horrible.
The softer brush looked so much better!!!!! Looked very natural!!!!
“😮 .. I’m joking I’ve experienced full coverage before “ hahaahahahah! THIS sent me 😂
Is it just me or when Robert isn't on the fancy camera and in natural light he looks alot more like james
I thought so too
I though that too, it threw me for a second actually...
I love how you explain how and why use the products the way you use them. Feels so proffesional.
Thank you! 🖤🖤
@@RobertWelsh aww you replied 😍😍😍 replying to 100 comments ain't easy. So nice of you to read each and every comment.
An EXTRA WELSH VIDEO! I'm feeling a little spoiled and I'm loving it! 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤 Thank you Robert!
I will never not listen to Robert, his opinion is the only thing I need 🖤 xxxx
🖤🖤🖤🖤
I agree. Love his makeup tips tricks and techniques
I’m a newer subscriber and imma just say... your voice is so calming and pleasant to listen to. Best videos to watch in the morning for a seratonin boost!
I do appreciate you showing us what it looks like in natural lighting and not just on camera.
I have ridiculously oily skin. Anything luminizing or with added oil I have to stay away from. Love this review! True reviews have no bias, just information.
This foundation will never be as good as Skin Up
Thanks, needed that! 😄
I think this is the first application of this product that really shows a proper amount 10/10 thank you 🖤
I’ve been waiting on your opinion because I trust you. You are completely honest with no BS.
Thank you so much! 🖤🖤
I was waiting for your review to make up my mind about buying it because one I have oily skin and two you’re literally the only person I trust when it comes to reviews, thank you for this
I just love robert so much he changed the entire makeup game for everyone so so much❤️ thanks robert for teaching us so much!!! Just gonna see this entire thing now. Also your voice is so soothing 🥺
Thank you!!!! 🖤🖤🖤🖤
Just so we're clear, you love him so much? Or was it so so much? How many times can you say "so much" in a statement?
@@chandracox6814 Chill.
@@chandracox6814 I dislike your attitude so, so, so, so, so much 😏
Typical troll...
I type filterlessly as it type whatever comes to my mind. When you’re excited you say stuff and repeat it and stuff like that. Chill girl :) how does it matter to you? I think i can say so so so so much any number of times i want to and I don’t think it bothers anyone. Let’s keep this a clean chill place! ✨ takecare!
I was actually loving the casual vibe without the rings. No shade intended. Loved the fake reaction. This is why we love Robert so much! Have seen multiple MUA's giving this foundation a not so good review. I don't trust any hype these days.
Thank you as always for being honest. It’s ridiculous how rare integrity is on YT
I have dry/combo skin and I really liked this product. After watching your video it's clear that I did use TOO much, but at the end of the day it looked really lovely and wasn't curdled or worn off. It's worked really well for me.
Love how you say it like it is no sugar coating lol everyone is literally acting how your describing them and exactly be a leader not a follower!!!Love you!!
Honestly I know only the most honest & genuine opinion is going to come from you. I am more combo/oily with slightly dehydrated skin so I know this will probably move a ton. Thank you for your honest review ❤️
No one:
Tiktok mua’s applying this : 😮😮😮
Exactly this!
IMO, Its a paid reaction 🤔🙀🙄...Robert's is trustworthy.
I got this and I was more shocked at how weightless it felt rather than the coverage. I use the KVD brush too so I think they really stuck the brush in rather than getting the amount you need
Tiktok “makeup artists”
@@noemid2011 I have dry skin and this foundation is a holy grail for me cause normally full coverage foundations are made for oily skin and make my face look like cardboard. This is a balm and has a dewy finish so ofc it isn’t meant for oilier skin they have the Lock it one for that
I really appreciate your more "down to earth" approach. I feel as though most youtube MUAs are way too animated for my preference and they typically apply products very heavily. I like that you prefer and demonstrate a more wearable look as well.
Thank you for clocking all those beauty gurus and their over the top reactions lol😭
Thank you for your honesty! I always trust your opinion the most because you don’t use filters and always tell it like it is.
11 minute video uploaded 4 minutes ago: 176 likes. You are SO loved, Robert!
Please don’t put him and that predator in the same sentence ❤️
Bear in mind JS hates KVD so no reason for him to praise it
Your sass has brightened my day
Theeeeeeere's someone who knows what he's doing. Thank you.
Can i just say, his voice is really comforting
proving slow and steady wins the race- the second side looks sooooo goood
"sOmeBodY hElp meeEeEee"
a whole ass mood
The best foundation I've ever used-the ordinary serum foundation. I was in awe. It made it look like my skin was flawless! I bought 4 more today lol I've tried so many expensive foundations, I've spent hundreds trying to find the perfect one., and wouldn't you know it the 7$ one beats them all!
Robert pausing to fix his ring situation is everything I needed today.
omg all the prints you have on your wall are SO GOOD i want to have your aesthetic sensibilities so bad!!!!
I can’t stand full coverage. I use to use nothing but full coverage, and now I use missha bb and rare beauty concealer. I just don’t like that makeup feeling anymore.
You are MY favorite MUA on youtube. I trust you. ❤️ very educational
Harrassing Robert into doing the tiny hands challenge day#3
(that faked shocked face😂)
Omg lol commenting to get more attention 🤣
Lmao I would love this
yeeeeesssss
I support this so I’m adding a comment 😂
A welsh twins challenge 🤣🤣🤣
I really loved the way you put on this foundation, I saw all the influencers put it on with that flat brush and I thought the result was so cakey and unnatural
Well done really nice critique
These are the reviews I like. Not just praises at the end of a beat, but a follow up on performance after hours of wear.
He’s the older brother i never had! 🖤
so glad you tried this lol i've been waiting to see this foundation applied normally and not caked on
You. Are. Magnificent. Thanks for looking out for us!!!
It reminds me of the Dermacol frenzy that happened a few years ago..never see anyone talking about it now. Just saying
I was gonna skip over this foundation but watching you apply it the second made me feel I need this. Love your explanation for everything
