This version of SOS was Dimash's covid concert. Not only did he only charge $10 a ticket for an entire concert, but he had to imagine the audience being there. Only Dimash could perform to an empty auditorium as if it were a full house. Dimash forever!
Actually, Hua Chenyu had a covid concert as well. He hired an entire orchestra and choir, modified his songs to fit with that actually didn't charge anything because he had promised Martians a concert but couldn't have one because of covid. Both singers care about their fans.

I am looking for more Hua Chenyu reaction!!! He is such a genius to tell story by music. I think the most charismatic part of him is his values and thought in his music. His songs always let you think about the relationship between the world, the nature, the society, the people and ourselves. He is actually creating a world for us in his music, telling us how can we make the world better, how can we face the difficulties in life, how can we share our love to the world. He is always my teacher, much more than just a singer. He always gives you surprise. There are so many details in his music, which i feeling that each element always appeared in the most suitable part and in the most suitable way to show you the emotion and message he want to tell. I, too, am a Dear, but you should check out people like Lara Fabian, as Dimash draws inspiration from her. And Zhou Shens voice is also ethereal. Big Fish, is one my favorite songs of Zhou Shen's. There's an 80 year old reactor who listens to Dimash and a bunch of the artists that was covered here today, so age shouldn't have anything to do with listening to other artists. But I know how you feel, after discovering Dimash, my other artists I listen to got pushed to the side for a while. As I am not yet 80.

Lara is the main inspiration of Dimash, and one his idols. He made several covers (Adagio, Mademoiselle Hyde, Love of Tired Swans, Know) And she wrote the lyrics of his song Your Love

@@Somaso163 wrong my friend! Lara relased in 2010 a song on her Mademoiselle Zhivago album: a french song titled Je t’aime encore. Music from igor, lyrics from Lara. In 2014 a russian version was created from this with completely different lyrics: it was titled Love of Tired Swans and Lara was the original performer. In 2018, these lyrics were adapted for a male and Dimash sang a cover.

He lays himself bare before his audience, always singing about the theme of “self.” If you’ve already watched “Seven Personalities,” you should be able to feel the progression from the naive “id,” to the socially conditioned “ego,” and finally the cathartic release as he grapples with the “superego.” I hope you can do more reaction videos on Hua Chenyu. He deserves to be seen by more people, even though he has already held a concert with 100,000 attendees in China.

I remember for weeks I saw Dimash's face appearing over and over again, never wanted to click and check on him, one day when I was already listening to Lara for the 123th time, then I said, okay enough lets go with something different...........Since then I'm in Dimash's fantasy world and I don't want to leave anymore :) :)

I would say….Dimash, Lara and So Hyang are my top three! But as Richard has pointed out, it changes with the mood I am feeling! Sometimes it is HuaHua and Forestella in the mix too!

I highly recommend Hua Chenyu Sunrise Concert “Growing Towards the Sun" Yantai . In order to realize the promise of watching the sunrise with the Martians, he and his team spent two and a half years preparing for the sunrise concert, investing huge amounts of money and manpower to create the most expensive concert in China. During the song, the sun came out and the Martians hugged and cried. Hua Chenyu and the Martians accomplished an incredible thing that created a huge sensation across the country. This song has incredible power to give people hope and warmth, even more than a song.
Hua Chenyu and Dimash are both great in their own ways. Hua Chenyu as a chinese artist is phenomenal, especially grand in his concerts (the Mars concerts). The grandeur of his compositions is unbelievably rich!

Mori = Legend. Elite range, with superb resonance and tonal quality throughout her extensive range. What sets her apart is her resonance quality within the C5 to F5 belting range; The gates of heaven open when she enters that pocket. As Richard/Johnny (and now Sam!) has stated multiple times, her voice seems to hit you deep inside the body. Add her emotive skills and charm (i.e., amazing smile and personality), and you probably get the best female vocalist of this generation (Richard puts her in his Top 3).
Dimash = Legend. Morissette is my favorite female vocalist, but Dimash is simply undeniable. Probably the most spectacular vocalist in the world. The range and expressive/emotive skills are unparalleled. Probably the best in the world.

@@Olkam-w5uOf course everyone likes different singers or songs the best and that is a matter of taste. But there are some objective criteria in singing that you can compare. Pick any song by Ed Sheeran and I will like it more than any of Celine Dion‘s songs or many operatic arias. But that doesn’t make him a better singer (purely from a technical perspective). There are many different skills you can compare, like in decathlon, and then give points. A singer might score in one or two areas and be average or bad in others. And then there is ONE who is top or among the top in all of them. 😉 (At least that’s how I think about it.) For me it doesn’t mean you have to LIKE a more skillful singer more. Just that as far as objectively possible: one has the most skills perfected.

Which skills speak to you the most is individual. But there is a reason why Richard showed Sam these singers and not random others with nice songs and why you mentioned Mike. And I am in awe of all these singers. And that’s why I like to listen to them more than to average singers. I always loved Journey, Adele and Muse for a similar reason. Those that have the skills have enough brain capacity left to make the performance emotional instead of thinking how to reach the next note. (But sometimes it’s just the song that’s awesome. 😂) But Dimash is someone I and many others think is so outside of anything we have ever heard. It‘s difficult to describe. It‘s not just the different part. Many singers that have a special voice and some weird skill are impressive, but still bore me to death. Dimash is always interesting, because he has so much to choose from as a singer but also as a composer, instrumentalist and producer. I have seen so many songs from him and he still surprises me with every one. And I start crying with every new performance, because it’s so overwhelming. I even hate crying. Richard, you are right, because Hua sang his song without lyrics during the auditions, and only one of the three judges found that he was a genius who could tell stories through music! He is known for his unique style since then. He was recognized as a Child from Mars, as you can see, his reluctance to follow the mainstream music style has made his imprint from Mars more deeply into people's impressions. Apart from lyricless songs, Hua also performed "The Kill" that's why the other 2 judges gave him the pass after all.

Hua Chenyu is so good. He has been doing this round of concerts in China and recently in Hong Kong. Responses were great and I can say his concerts are the best in china.
I love all Chenyu performances. I have been following him since April 2018, he is 1 of the most inspiring artist I've ever witnessed. His songs and his covers are just so amazing! He can sell out a concert of 10s of thousads from seconds to minutes. he sold out a concert for 90,000 2x over in 5 mintues.
Hua Chen Yu, Hua Hua is a musician. His music gives me hope and strength to face every hard ship in life. Very grateful to have his music, encouraging me every time I am down.

My comment from this morning about the Fanbase name: Martians Hi, the fanbase name martians originated from Hua Chenyu's first audition at Superboy (a singing contest) in 2013 where he played and sung a selfcomposed lyricless song. He said he can't write lyrics so he will sing this song in a martian language. The song he sung was pretty unconventional . 2 of the judges couldn't accept it but one of the 3 saw his genius and fought for him. After this first audition.... some people called him "the boy from Mars". It was meant as an insult ....but he embraced it and made it his trademark. Since then his fans are called Martians and his epic solo concerts are called Mars concerts . The first words Hua Hua says to his Martians at every Mars concert is: "Welcome Home ". He has a very special bond with his martians. You will see what I mean if you will check out more of him. 🥰

Lara relased in 2010 a song on her Mademoiselle Zhivago album: a french song titled Je t’aime encore. Music from igor, lyrics from Lara.
In 2014 a russian version was created from this with completely different lyrics: it was titled Love of Tired Swans and Lara was the original performer.
In 2018, these lyrics were adapted for a male and Dimash sang a cover.

I highly recommend Hua Chenyu Sunrise Concert “Growing Towards the Sun" Yantai . In order to realize the promise of watching the sunrise with the Martians, he and his team spent two and a half years preparing for the sunrise concert, investing huge amounts of money and manpower to create the most expensive concert in China. During the song, the sun came out and the Martians hugged and cried. Hua Chenyu and the Martians accomplished an incredible thing that created a huge sensation across the country. This song has incredible power to give people hope and warmth, even more than a song.

Hua Chenyu and Dimash are both great in their own ways. Hua Chenyu as a chinese artist is phenomenal, especially grand in his concerts (the Mars concerts). The grandeur of his compositions is unbelievably rich!

What sets her apart is her resonance quality within the C5 to F5 belting range; The gates of heaven open when she enters that pocket. As Richard/Johnny (and now Sam!) has stated multiple times, her voice seems to hit you deep inside the body. Add her emotive skills and charm (i.e., amazing smile and personality), and you probably get the best female vocalist of this generation (Richard puts her in his Top 3).

But there are some objective criteria in singing that you can compare.
Pick any song by Ed Sheeran and I will like it more than any of Celine Dion‘s songs or many operatic arias. But that doesn’t make him a better singer (purely from a technical perspective).
There are many different skills you can compare, like in decathlon, and then give points. A singer might score in one or two areas and be average or bad in others. And then there is ONE who is top or among the top in all of them. 😉
(At least that’s how I think about it.)
For me it doesn’t mean you have to LIKE a more skillful singer more. Just that as far as objectively possible: one has the most skills perfected.

But there is a reason why Richard showed Sam these singers and not random others with nice songs and why you mentioned Mike.
And I am in awe of all these singers. And that’s why I like to listen to them more than to average singers.
I always loved Journey, Adele and Muse for a similar reason. Those that have the skills have enough brain capacity left to make the performance emotional instead of thinking how to reach the next note.
(But sometimes it’s just the song that’s awesome. 😂)
But Dimash is someone I and many others think is so outside of anything we have ever heard. It‘s difficult to describe. It‘s not just the different part. Many singers that have a special voice and some weird skill are impressive, but still bore me to death.
Dimash is always interesting, because he has so much to choose from as a singer but also as a composer, instrumentalist and producer. I have seen so many songs from him and he still surprises me with every one. And I start crying with every new performance, because it’s so overwhelming. I even hate crying. One annoying side effect. 😂 But still I love Dimash. ❤ And so many others have the same experience. 😊

Richard, you are right, because Hua sang his song without lyrics during the auditions, and only one of the three judges found that he was a genius who could tell stories through music! He is known for his unique style since then. He was recognized as a Child from Mars, as you can see, his reluctance to follow the mainstream music style has made his imprint from Mars more deeply into people's impressions.
Apart from lyricless songs, Hua also performed "The Kill" that's why the other 2 judges gave him the pass after all.

My comment from this morning about the Fanbase name: Martians
Hi, the fanbase name martians originated from Hua Chenyu's first audition at Superboy (a singing contest) in 2013 where he played and sung a selfcomposed lyricless song. He said he can't write lyrics so he will sing this song in a martian language.
The song he sung was pretty unconventional .
2 of the judges couldn't accept it but one of the 3 saw his genius and fought for him.
After this first audition.... some people called him "the boy from Mars".
It was meant as an insult ....but he embraced it and made it his trademark.
Since then his fans are called Martians and his epic solo concerts are called Mars concerts .
The first words Hua Hua says to his Martians at every Mars concert is:
"Welcome Home ".
He has a very special bond with his martians. You will see what I mean if you will check out more of him. 🥰
Those who have watched his start and progression know exactly what you mean!
