Love your channel, always very informative for a beginner like myself. Also, its always funny to see cats wondering in the background and hear copper doing... whatever it is copper was doing. Keep up the good work!
I love my 200 pound Hay Budden, which is a 3 piece (steel face, wrought iron upper and lower half) and recently picked up a 140 pound 2 piece Budden (steel upper half with wrought foot) and I've really enjoyed forging with that lately. Great video man 👍🏼
I watched your vid you did on beginners being better off getting an ASO, and I agree with what you said there. Would it be a better solution once someone started to gain some experience, to craft their own anvil?
Trent, now when it the test? LOL. Loved it, and your dog was not that big a distraction. I had one of mine sitting on my lap while I was trying to watch this. She was looking for the other dog to see what it was playing with. LOL. Have a great day.
What year is that Hay Budden? Mine's from 1913 and doesn't have a hardened face -- the whole top of the anvil is steel from the waist up, and the base/feet are wrought.
I want one! That's an awesome anvil. Maybe you could cut to Copper every once in a while, or use him/her in an intro/outro? Loads of people out there love dogs.
What is the punch hole called please? I replayed the clip but my British ear just cannot make it out. I just picked up my first anvil well dragged my first anvil from a yard sale it's huge and mostly free from damage but is quite rusty. It has a T shape that comes out of the side of the anvil parallel to the face and in line with the hardy hole. Anyone know what this is for? Total newbie if you didn't guess.
As a right handed farrier, when I stand at my anvil the horn is to my left or tong hand. I see many blacksmiths use there anvils in the opposite manner. Can you go into detail why that is? Thank you for your time.
It has to do with how easy it is to get to the horn.If you are holding work in the left hand and the horn is on the left, you just sit it down. If it was on the right, you would have to move your whole body.
Reality, one of the great things about your videos. Besides what you are demonstrating, your videos are not staged. So yeah the shop cats, dog, or goat gets into the videos from time to time but they are part of the shop. Just please, next time, at the end of the video, move the camera so we can see what the heck is going on! ;)
My first time to watch one of your videos. I found it very informative and the dog was quite funny actually. I just hope he doesn't do that on all your vids!
Hello. I have a question for you on behalf of hundreds. We saw your video about Jet Fuel weakening steel ( you know the one where no comments were allowed) question is this..Firemen at the scene reported seeing channels of liquid " molten steel like a foundry" inside the World Trade Center buildings. The unedited interviews are on youtube. So for all us morons as you called us, yes your steel gets weakened by jet fuel but tell us what turned the steel into liquid that it was flowing down channels and burned for months and months? Thank you.
"Audacity" .... sample the unwanted noise.... and mute/silence or delete it from the sound track.... but I'm still laughing all you needed next was one of those baby goats jumping up on the table. LOLOLOL
Copper wants a piece of your fame! On friday night he can brag to all the other dogs strutting around like a movie star and get the best pieces of the ladies!
Omg it was a dog. I turned it up cause I couldn’t figure it out.

Man, I wish you would have cut to the dog for a sec. He sounded like he was having a blast!! Haha
. . . that sounds like a Tauntaun, not a dog.
This one made it past the first marker, alive.
Or a dirt bike.
great video as always . what ever your dog was doing sounds like he was having fun
Thanks! Great explanation, simple and to the point with just the right amount of history thrown in.
the dog gave me a good laugh (& thanks for the anvil lesson )
I was crying so hard watching you react to the dog and the noise the dog was making...a classic video I'm going to watch again just to hear the dog!!!
Love your channel, always very informative for a beginner like myself. Also, its always funny to see cats wondering in the background and hear copper doing... whatever it is copper was doing. Keep up the good work!
Copper! Pleeeaase hush, I am trying to listen to some anvil terminology
Love when the dogs and cats get involved. Reminds me of your older videos.
Your dog sounds like it is gettin' after something, LOL
One of your best videos I’ve watched yet
Great video Trent, thank you.
I love your videos because they are not only informative, but so many have surprise critter shenanigans.

Everytime you stopped talking the dog also stopped XD
As always short to the point with your information, good work
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Clear, concise, and correct.

Lol. Great vid. That dog killed me.

How could there be only 4K plus views. This is crazy interesting stuff.
I had to stop the video a couple of times to see if it was my dog or yours.........Mine were just staring at me,,,,,Gotta love Copper!
awesome video. really was wondering about this terminology. your dog topped off the video though haha
Hahahahaha I'm dying 🤣 Sounds like Copper is enjoying something a lot.
Gotta love that dog.
Love it
Buddy i just saw your structural steel video (the jet fuel thing 9/11) please do more! It was awesome "ITS A FRIKIN NOODLE, GO GET A JOB" HAHAHAH
Your dog is so funny! LOL!
What year is that Hay Budden? Mine's from 1913 and doesn't have a hardened face -- the whole top of the anvil is steel from the waist up, and the base/feet are wrought.
Copper wants to be famous too lol. Nice educational video keep it up.
I want one! That's an awesome anvil.
Maybe you could cut to Copper every once in a while, or use him/her in an intro/outro? Loads of people out there love dogs.
I had to watch some bits three times to hear what you were saying, because of the dog going mental in the background! :-)
Nicely done...can't blame Copper for wanting in...thanks.
My grandpa uses the bottom part in between the legs to forage well bits it is cool to watch. A well bit is for drilling wells and is about 200 pounds

LOL I was wondering what that noise was in the background. I wasn't sure if it was on my side. I turned off my volume and then you blamed copper!! Lol
How do identity a anvil model make or age
Dawg is man’s beast friend.
Is that the same as a London pattern?

I wish I had a job that involved Anvils.
Copper wants to be famous too.
Trent I was wondering if you could do a video on different fuels for the forge and how to use them. Great vid 👍
it will be in a new series Im doing on beginning blacsmithing.
purgatoryironworks ok thanks
Sounds like copper wants to steal the spotlight :-)
Copper was the star of this one. The costar had good stuff to say though. Trent is Copper secretly a Cooper and he's jealous of smiths?
I understand being excited by anvils, but sounds like Copper maybe finds them a bit too exciting 😂😂
I don't think I got nearly as much out of this video as Copper did :P
Alright good info on the anvil, Thanks. Dude do a broke dog video, I mean really ;)
Where are you located in Georgia
Southwest georgia
That dog though

When I first heard Copper vocalizing I had to look to see if one of my two pups was talking in her sleep.
My first time to watch one of your videos. I found it very informative and the dog was quite funny actually. I just hope he doesn't do that on all your vids!
I swear I was looking around to see which one of my dogs was making that noise, lol.
Cute sounding dog and a very good vid. Don't let the educated idiots get you down.
Copper he just wanted his minute.
I think Copper was trying to be famous too😎
Talk about stealing the frikkin show! LOL!
Copper!
Like is only for Copper having an emotional experience in the background
"Can you hush I'm trying to be famous here." yes you are

bahahahahahaha
911 was an inside job. Jet fuel man. Jet fuel
Funny you disable the comments on the debate video. You're the noodle not the steel.
David Leitch who cares. He is right. There was nothing to discuss.
Fur kids almost as bad as two legged
I have a dog that photo bombs all my blacksmithing videos and photos.
Omg it was a dog. I turned it up cause I couldn’t figure it out.

Never work with children or animals.. ~ W.C.Fields
he just want's his 15 min. of fame ..............lol
We both know that was gay porn, and not a dog.

the video has good information, but the dog is distracting as hell...
