So this sounds good in theory until 200 of those cold calls don’t pick up. To get even get 3 quotes/day is a challenge. You need to do more than trying to target random people. Look at people you have quoted in the past, do events, get referrals from customers you have closed, invest in live call transfers, create a social media presence and try to partner with local businesses in your community. Not trying to dismiss cold calling cause it should be in your sales strategy but don’t make it your only method. To get quotes you need to actually speak with people. The unfortunate part about his method is the likelihood you are going to speak with someone is maybe 1-5 percent depending on the day.
Yeah dude no one is going to do this. What a waste of time. This guy is so detached from reality if he thinks 1. Somebody will do this and 2. It’s okay to have someone do this. Straight scum.
@@macnificent7100 The process is a bit more time consuming and the broker fees a lot more lucrative. In my experience commercial insurance has a less canceling ratio.
How's it going Cody, you shouted me out on your virtual seminar last Friday lol I wanted to see if you have any videos/training on P&C. Not the money breakdown, how to master trying to convince family & friends to switch their insurance. Cold calling, what to say during cold calls. Etc. I'm studying to take my P&C test in Maryland now. Hoping to take the test in March. Thank you for your dedication in helping people reach their maximum potential.
Gosh this seems unrealistic. I’m at 80% closing rate, in an office that writes about 5mil a year in premium. I can’t imagine quoting 11 policies a day while prospecting. I send out about 4-5 quotes a day, and write about 60k a month. I don’t make 100k. Y’all are big dreamers. Our office could use a visit from Cody, I bet you could help us double our book! Thanks again Cody, great video
Can you be an independent insurance agent broker working from home?? I have been a commercial insurance producer for 3 years and want to start up my own agency
You can but in order to get Big Companies to give you an appointment, it’s better to have a physical office. You have to be professional. Some of them send sale managers to visit your office. They won’t give you an appointment if you don’t have that. I write for Chubb, Nationwide, Progressive, CNA, The Harford, Biberk and you have to have an office. How can you grow and hire employees with an home office? If you want to write non admitted insurance, yes work from home.
Ask him about charge backs. Don’t listen to these people. Most independent agents don’t make it due to large chargebacks because they don’t write proper policies. And many get E&O claims because they don’t know what they are doing.
@@tonyaberman3669I have a 220 license and I am happy to split deals just to let someone else do the paperwork. It's hard to be in the field and in the office.... IMHO
I have just tentatively been offered a position in Farmers Insurance Protege Program. I will take my p&c test Monday and background. I am so excited and nervous. To be successful I need to sell 100,000 in premium within a year. I am willing to work like crazy to reach this goal. I have never sold Insurance and have only been in sales a limited time in my career. I want you to know, I have been soaking in all the advise I can from your channel. So thanks!!! Any pointers on how to get to that end goal?
Do you only sell p and c or are you going to take a general lines, so doing commercial also? I'm in Florida so I don't know what you have to do in your state.
This is amazing. As a broker, would he continue to make 17.5% commission with renewals, or would he need to sign it with a new carrier? Is that wrong to do? I don't have my license just looking into this as an entrepreneurial path
Doesn’t he have to be careful with having other people representing him as an agent no matter what channel of communication they’re utilizing? What boundaries should s P&C agent set for those individuals who help during those part-time hours? -P&C agent in San Antonio, Tx. Thanks!

Stop the crap. Selling insurance takes brains and critical thinking. It’s not about just making money. I know independent agency owners who make $10,000+a month. That take years of experience to get to that. You have to know how to write policies and you have to know the right way. Don’t listen to these people. Did you pass
Are you in the industry?
Having somebody work 15 hours a week is not feasible especially at $10/hour … and it takes all day to get 5 quotes sometime
Offer commission
Yeah the way he said that was super sleazy

does that pay the same percentage in commissions?? Just a thought...thanks
