    If one still thinks that Guru Nanak Sahib Ji was a Muslim, then would you accept such pretenders as Muslims who conceal their faith? Guru Sahib never stated that he was a Muslim, instead he did the opposite.
    “I am not a Hindu, nor am I a Muslim. My body and breath of life belong to Allah - to Raam - the God of both. ||4||”
    (Ang 1136).
    Hope this clears ur misunderstanding, if not I am happy to provide more answers...
    May Waheguru Bless U

    Yes this is what I am doing. I was born in a Sikh family but never followed it or learned it in my early life. I grew up and when I was 24/25 started to get more understanding of Sikhism and it completely changed my outlook. U don't need religion to be moral, I accept that but then you need a guide to make sure you do the moral thing ans this is what I learned from Sikhi. Now do u want to clarify anything that don't make sense to u about Sikhism, if so please answer and I will try to clear it...

    Sir, well this is the same case with Hinduism ( A lot older than Islam) where its told to believe in one god, unfortunately ppl over the years have twisted its meaning. Believing in one god doesn't necessarily means u r a Muslim. Eg, Sikhism, we believe in one god but guru nanak said " Na Hum Hindu, Na Hum Musalman" which means " Neither I am a Hindu, nor am I a Muslim"

    Muslims believe that God is in the west and only likes Muslims. Guru Sahib visited Mecca to clear their doubts and to show them the right path. He went to preach oneness of God who does not reside only in the west. Guru Sahib said there are infinite heavens, hells and solar systems. There is no end to God or His creation.

    i hate it when people say "forced" to leave religion. u can never force anyone to leave his/her religion cause religion is not anything material that someone can force u to leave. religion is not a country or ur home that someone can force u to leave. religion is knowledge and knowledge is the only thing that nobody can force u to accept or deny. which part of this dont u people understand?

    Nanak Ji is recorded 2 have visited Mecca not d Kaa’ba. One thing clear frm d historical evidence is that he visited Mecca wit his companion, Baba Mardana Ji, who was from a Muslim background. They stayed somewhere probably in a nearby village or town. Pilgrims do not stay in the Kaa’ba. They stay outside the holy shrine area in villages, towns or tents. It is also clear from the evidence dat Guru Sahib is recorded as having slept with his feet ‘towards’ the Kaa’ba.

    Mr Sohaidkhd1, Can you please advice which religion was Prophet Mohamad before he introduced islam? He wasn't muslim for sure. The other thing is Quran is a 70-80% similar to Bible, does it mean its an extension? The reason is coz 60-70% talk sense and about equality...but there are basic differences and will always be there...and btw in islam can a muslim girl marry a non muslim? and what about the other way around?

    ...No one can become muslim with sword if anyone want to embrace he or she will embrace the religion which teach peace & love towards oneness of God {Tauheed} Thats what Nanak Sahab Taught evryone ....remeber his word when he came out of the pond Na Koi Muslim na koi Hindu....which means all are equal......Bhai just use ur eternal soul & think abt it That Nanak Sahab,Muhhamad S.A.W.S & Isa Masih & several others taught same that Allah ki Nazar mei sab barabar hain...There is One God who serves

    Why is it the Sons of Abraham feel such a need to disparage the spirituality of others rather than respect it? When approaching a muslim always remember wild dogs seldom bite, but some do. The Qu'ran is often contradictory, vague and open to interpretation. Ink did not touch paper until 651CE 29 years after Mohammed's death. The religion of peace has also actively practiced the buying and selling of slaves for 1300 of it's 1400 year existence only ending under colonial rule.

    Haha , ur last sentence proves the point. Ok Let me explain, Sikhs don't like to hold seminars about Sikhism to try to persuade people from different religion to join sikhism as in our eyes all are creation of the Akal(Waheguru). Secondly, I strongly suggest u read some decent books outside of Islamic scholars and understand the reasl reason y Guru Nanak went to mecca. Third, 1 Billion hahaha. but why u forget that quality is more important then quantity, need I say more?

    Guru sahib dressed as a Fakeer, holy man, which meant a chola of khuddar (rough low grade material) and a pair of wooden sandals with his companion Baba Mardana Ji, who was from a Muslim background, infiltrated the city of Mecca. And this can be found in ((Vaar 1, Pauree 32 - Bhai Gurdaas Ji)). The important thing to note is that "Dress in Sikhi holds not importance & moreover Moreover wearing a Fakeer’s dress does not necessarily make one Muslim.

    @reptile1000 and you can say Islam is a cross of Judaism and Tribal Beliefs, and Hindu an Off shot of Tribal and Jainism, Buddhism is Jainism & Hinduism, Christianity is Judaism and Greek Mythology.... Most religions have a vast amount in common. You can say any religion seems like cross between X & Y....

  • @BigG1883
    @BigG1883 12 років тому +2

    If Guru Sahib were sleeping inside or nearby the Kaa’ba (which is not possible when millions visit it), there wud not have been d account dat we read today.There is no mention anywhere that he observed ihram, did twaf, ran btw Safwa & Marwa or sacrificed an animal. 4 pilgrimage all these rituals r absolutely essential. As 4 saying Namaz, there is no evidence dat he followed an Imam or uttered Quranic verses anywhr. Furthermore, Guru Sahib no where wrote La Allah Illilah Mohammed Rasul Allah.

  • @BigG1883
    @BigG1883 12 років тому +1

    Muslims go 2 Mecca 2 pay their homage and worship God, but this was not d purpose of the Guru 2 go there. Guru Sahib says:
    "I do not make pilgrimages to Mecca, nor do I worship at Hindu sacred shrines. I serve the One Lord, and not any other. ||2|| I do not perform Hindu worship services, nor do I offer the Muslim prayers. I have taken the One Formless Lord into my heart; I humbly worship Him there. ||3||”
    (Ang 1136)
    As the above, I hope things r making sense 2 u, but I will provide more below:

  • @IHeartZui
    @IHeartZui 12 років тому +1

    Actually many in Islam consider the Qu'ran NOT subject to interpretation unless interpretted by their culture and their holyman. Not taking a negative critique is also not a sign of neutrality. And no I do not like christians anymore than islamics. Hence why I referred to you as a son of Abraham. I respect Sikhs as they seldom fall into the "crimes for God" pattern. How could I characterize a entire culture because a few would kill over a cartoon of their profit?

  • @Tansirul
    @Tansirul 12 років тому +1

    no i dont think so but we could have stopped shikhism at its birth if we wanted to but we didnt...i bet guru nanak would have have been killed in europe at that time if he went around preachin different religion other than christianity and shikhism is no threat to us. we fight full might of nato in afghanistan and russia in chechniya. shiks wanting to fight muslims wont create any new pressure on us but why should we fight again?

  • @BigG1883
    @BigG1883 12 років тому +1

    OK This will be a long explanation and will be covered in parts:
    If you have respect for other religions, I hope u take the explanation in a positive way:
    First thing first, the city of Mecca was not developed during the time of Guru and at that time people were able to freely move unlike now.Guru Nanak was not the first non muslims to enter Mecca. Eg Sir Richard Burton in 1853(google him).
    Next Para:see below

  • @BigG1883

    Haha...Na Hum Hindu Na Hum Musalman...

  • @Tansirul
    @Tansirul 12 років тому +2

    u seem to be judging islam by the actions of afghans and pakistanis....what they did had more to do with culture than islam like i read about a muslim woman who refused to drink water from the same cup with which a christian woman drank water....now islam had nothing to do with that but culture. there is no beheading today right? then how come islam is the fastest growing religion in the world?

    guru sahib infiltrated the city of mecca? sounds like a criminal to me....after all if someone infiltrates ur home then u call him a criminal and call police. i think guru nanak was a muslim but i respect ur view aswell though i dont agree. btw we muslims dont have to go to mecca to serve the one lord. we serve him all the time no matter where we are and also pray to him 5 times a day no matter where we are.
