A somewhat decent true solo run of Lucilius with Charlotta with an in - game time of 21:50.
It was supposed to be an Io solo, but my Io build doesn't do enough damage to deal with it and after many attempts, I got angry and decided to run blindly into the fight with Charlotta - managing to snag a W in my second run with her.
Some Insights on This Run -
- I may or may not have also switched to Charlotta in order to make my scuffed guide look more genuine (My thinking - "If I can't solo the hardest boss in the game, then people will think my guide is completely faulty.")
- The Seven Trumpets/12 Labors seem to be quite RNG for characters like Lotta since she can't one shot the orbs like Io. Honestly, I think I got really lucky on the orbs especially with the amount of mistakes I made on them.
- I should've added a Stun Power Sigil for extra link attacks for Link Time at the end, but was too stubborn to do so.
- I should've used Invincibility on this fight for the free uptime/chances to avoid Paradise Lost knockdowns, but Valiant Stance is a pretty flashy skills with MOAR Damage that I simply couldn't resist
- At the end, I was thinking of using SBA to delay Lucy's The End, but honestly, whiffing it was a lucky mistake on my part. By using SBA during The End, I managed to catch two of the swords in it too, which made DPS'ing much safer.
- Do I want to fight Lucilius again? Maybe, as long as he doesn't turn into a Putrid/Ulcerated Tree Spirit or Malenia, Blade of Miquella.
Tips for if You Yourself Want To Solo Lucilius -
- Make sure in the 60 Second Training Dummy Parse that you can do at least ~30 million damage (Just to make sure you have enough DPS for the Damage Check at the end).
- Potion Hoarder, Guts, and Autorevive are really helpful for not dying; the shield from Gamma is also nice. A bit niche but, Firm Stance is good for resisting his Shinra Tensei Pull and Almighty Push Grab.
- Get comfortable with soloing the 12 Labors/Seven Trumpets, some characters have it easier than others
- Please have extra Stun Power and don't do what I did and not have any lol. Having a link - time at the end can give you a few extra seconds in the DPS check and a bit of a boost in burst damage too.
- Have fun with it! It's not easy to solo a boss meant for 4 people, but know that you get bragging rights and a (imaginary) Certificate for being a pro at your character (Record it too so you have proof and can support your claims lol).
