As an obese woman, I hate the fat acceptance movement so much. I needed a long time to accept that I was unhealthy and this year I started to do something about it, because I started to be so miserable with myself that I couldn't stand it anymore. And yes, my doctor telling me that my pysical and mental health issues are all linked to my obesity was an eye opener as well.
I was obese a few years ago and my physical and mental health suffered horribly so I lost weight, about 60lbs, now I eat better and exercise regularly. It's not easy but the benefits are amazing and I honestly feel like a new person. I found a lovely woman to be with, I cut the grass at my local church for exercise and try my hardest to eat properly but yeh it's hard work. Being fat was easy for me but life isn't always about easy is it?? Keep up the good work, you'll get there eventually and feel better for it👍👍👍👍👍
Congrats. The thing about humans is, we won't change until we reach that mental point where we just can't take it anymore. I believe the people at AA refer to it as being, "Sick and tired of always being sick and tired"
The problem is, often people don't get there till its too late. I'm really struggling with that myself (tho, with things other than weight).
Keep up the good work :)
That is what you should do. Keep up the work, dawg.
You are awesome!!!!
You got this! ❤
"My skinniest I was at my most unhealty"
"I was eating 900 calories a day"
I think I found the problem.
Exactly what was thinking when I heard her say that.
@@AlaskanCookie900 calories a day for months is not enough for a grown women
@@danika7894 I agree. It is not healthy at all, especially for a grown or growing woman.
Right, no one is saying "skinny" is what's healthy. It's a straw man argument
And there is no middle ground for her because she definitely eating to much calories now.. so she either eats barely anything or way to much.. both are eating disorders and both aren’t healthy but she won’t tell you that part .
I was literally that woman talking about “freeing herself from beauty standards” years ago. And boyyyy do I feel like shit about myself now. Like uglier than I ever have. I’m just reteaching myself basic femininity and it feels so liberating.
There’s a line between “I don’t need to wear makeup 24/7 to be or feel beautiful; my worth is beyond my looks” and “I WILL NEVER WEAR MAKEUP AGAIN BECAUSE ITS OPPRESSIVE AND I DEMAND THAT NO ONE LOOK AT ME.”
I’m still a child (13) but I’ve always been a bit chubby and I saw the fat acceptance movement in its early days a few years ago and I’d think “if they say I’m pretty no matter what why don’t I feel pretty?”
10 year old me spittin facts. I didn’t feel pretty because I didn’t look pretty! I’ve worked on my fashion, hair, and I wear a bit of makeup now (lipgloss changes your whole face I swear) and I feel pretty! Of course I need to have my switch and 3ds for a confidence boost (can’t do shi without Mariokart I swear) but other than that, I feel like a much better person.
If I had believed the fat acceptance mfs I would be a fat lil ugly girl and I’d definitely get bullied.
The thing with bullying and being called ugly is that it only hurts if you think you’re ugly. Ugly used to hurt but now it doesn’t because I know I’m pretty with just a bit of lipgloss and the girls calling me ugly have 2 pounds of makeup on.
It doesn’t hurt to have your appearance insulted when you know you’re pretty. Having a group of people to coddle you and say you’re pretty when you’re very unhealthy isn’t good!
When you have to go out in the real world and those people aren’t there with you, all of the security and happiness goes away.
You have to find happiness in yourself and not with others. Only then will you feel pretty.
I personally don't like wearing makeup but I don't think wearing makeup is an issue. I just think it's a person's choice to want to wear makeup or not
"Basic femininity" has nothing to do with makeup or clothes. There are women who look feminine in jeans & a flannel shirt. There are women who are attractive without makeup. I'm as much a woman as some woman wearing makeup. I do like long hair & I used to dress better than I do now that I'm older. Not skirts or dresses, but not jeans, either. Nice casual. From my experience, when I have felt attractive, I am attractive to other people. So much of it has to do with how one carries oneself, with how warm & friendly one is, how optimistic & enthusiastic one is, how much confidence one has. Where that comes from is different for each woman because we are all unique.
For the no-spend tiktok I agree that it will get you pretty much nowhere. I've personally found it's much more effective to instead setup a "cooldown" period to reduce impulse buys and FOMO purchases. Basically if you see something unnecessary that you want to purchase especially something that's ~5% or more of your monthly income and/or ~10% of your total savings wait for at least 3 days before allowing yourself to purchase it. I found myself often forgetting about the item or realizing I didn't need it during this waiting period. This includes items on sale.
Growing up I was addicted to saving my paper route money. My dad told me to spend 10% each month and save the rest. It was a good plan for me.
Yes!!! I've done this, and it's incredibly effective!
The first one basically said, if you set goals and dont achieve them you'll feel like a failure, so don't set goals 🤦♂️ these are the people who want equality of outcome.
If at first you don't achieve your goals unleash your inner Rhino head down and charge straight at it
No. They expect someone to save them and fix all their problems. Sorry but there's no Genie in a lamp
@@Uta_Chandra.H sure there is. They’re called democrats bro dont you know? They’re gonna make all the tiktoker’s rich
Someone needs to tell them "you miss every shot you don't take"
🏆
A good new year resolution would be to try minimising the use of social media and to realise that people who like and validate your tiktoks and Instagram posts don't really care about you.
I basically only use YT nowadays and even that feels like it's becoming problematic lol
I deleted all social media (only have UA-cam) about 3 weeks ago and i feel much better
@@MrBenigi bro deleted emails and sms

I usually don't do Nye resolutions but for 2024 I decided to give up drinking. I usually drink a case of beer every 3 days which was way too much. So I've gone from 8 beers a day to nothing but San Pellegrino. And Brett Cooper was my inspiration for the change.
❤
I can really relate to your story Brett. It was all about how smart I was growing up but when I was 16, my mom finally had enough and went “you look like a hobo.” 😂
‘Failure is not always a bad thing’ - honestly such an underrated sentiment. Failure is just as important to success as ambition, motivation etc.
“Why do we fall sir? So we can learn to pick ourselves up.”
A master of a craft, is a master because he's made mistakes, and LEARNED not to do it again.
Totally agree with that like sometimes you need to take a few steps back to make a leap forward. For example I left my current job throught I "found" my career. Which turns out so I quit that job and went back to my old job (which is my current job) and I have now found my dream job which is to become a butcher. Which I am now in training for
Yep, failure can be the BEST teacher.
These days failure is something the left wants to remove. They don't want people to fail as it makes them sad and feel bad, if something makes you sad or feel bad then it must be bad. Therefore doing anything you can fail is bad, therefore improving yourself is bad.
“I don’t have time to talk about beauty standards anymore, I have STUFF to do” she says as she sits there for 30 minutes creating a tik tok

Pretty sure they spend longer than that minute to create the minute long video.

BRETT, the fact that your mother focused on your intelligence and values was without a doubt AN AMAZING APPROACH and SHE DESERVES APPLAUSE For it. By doing that you have become grounded and a good person. I tip my hat in respect to your mother.

Your mother is my new hero Brett
She's not going to see this, bro.
I love how these women tell other women not to improve themselves while putting on makeup to improve their looks.

When I was overweight I could barely breathe and was at risk of dying in my sleep or having a stroke, but I feel so much better now. I truly believe that having the surgery and losing the weight literally saved my life.

Not going to lie. I almost never feel or hear the transitions from commentary to commercial until it's too late and she's already there.
It's rather impressive how fluidly she does that.
I laugh every time she makes some really smooth transition
SERIOUSLY ITS ALWAYS SO SMOOTH

The most hilarious part is the girl complaining about capitalism but saying go to starbucks every day without understanding starbucks represents capitalism.
Public schooling
Nice profile picture
Haha this is what I was thinking in that part. She hates capitalism yet continues to benefit from the fact that, due to capitalism, she has a choice as to where she gets her favorite treat from.
No capitalism, no Starbucks. Probably no coffee shops at all. They don't get it.
I thought it was funny because she was complaining about saving money and how it's dumb you should spend it. While her mom or friend is the one who bought her coffee.
20:08 I literally couldn't help but scoff. Literally 22 in the military loving my life because I put the effort in to better myself. Might not be the best off but Im trying and not just whining about how "work is hard"
I worked produce in a grocery store right through high-school. I know exactly what Brett means. A lot of people think these jobs are below them but honestly it’s the best job I ever had. I was in great shape simply because of what I was doing and I was able to be part of the community directly in a sense. I’d strongly suggest it for any younger people out there.
I currently work at grocery store. I love it. I'm not making much money, but I love the people and love my job. Wouldn't trade it for the world.

I actually agreed with the no spend chick - she touched on some good points. Figure out what the root cause of your impulse buys are - mine were from a point of stress, either feeling like im working for no reason, kind of 'rebelling against that' or my impulse buys were from that quick dopamine hit.
Oh my Lord, as soon as Brett said that her mom told her that, "it is ok to wear makeup and look presentable but not for GUYS, but the outside world in general."...

It’s videos like this that make it very apparent that people don’t want agency. It’s so much harder to realize that you have FAR MORE control over your life and your future and embrace that responsibility over blaming someone else and putting yourself in a box and never realizing your potential.
you gotta love how clean she slides the sponser in there
The starbucks girl was just like: "You shouldn't care that you have an addiction, just keep buying it 🤪". How little self-awareness people have these days is just incredible. Imagine if she was talking about cigarettes or vapes in that video? People's reaction to it would be completely different
that one hit hard to me, i get addictions really easily, i was addicted to numbing cream, ambien, cannabis, picking at my arms until there red and bloody i got addicted to anything basically and hearing someone put in ear plugs and say a statement without any knowledge of addictions is like a stab in my side
The biggest issue with new year’s resolutions is that we make the goals too big and we don’t make them incremental enough. Monthly resolutions listed at the beginning of the year and edited throughout the year as needed (only at the start of the relevant month) are way better imo.
Aye, resolutions should be S.M.A.R.T. goals (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Time-Bound)!
I recommend the Theme Journal, CGP Grey has a video on his channel about it. I use it and it helps with all those things, goals being to big and not specific, he has some really great self improvement content.
That is such a good idea!
yeah you should make realistic goals in the first place that you can do and then maybe sprinkle more monthly or yearly when you can do everything else with flying colors
6:28 I love what she said here I obviously didn’t have that same exact experience but I know I used to not care about my appearance at all in school and in recent years I’ve really started to actually take care of my self it’s not just about wanting to look good it’s about looking presentable and looking like I care about and love my life I guess
I relate to you Brett, I never wore makeup growing up and always dressed comfortably with sandles, baggy clothes and thank god for that.
As a barista at Starbucks, i definitely think coffee is a major drain on a persons funds. Most of my customers are daily visitors. The cheapest option in my area costs $2.81, which comes to over $1000 over the course of the year at minimum. Most people’s daily bill is $6-$7 though.
That's without the tips
Yeesh. Folks need to buy themselves a moka pot
People can make coffee at home, some apartments have free coffee (mine does) and Panera has a coffee subscription for 11 or 12 a month.
Luckily I'm British so coffee shops have never really interested me. Give me a nice cup of tea instead. ☕
If only the Starbucks Mochas weren't so good, the frappes are way too sweet though
As a woman, I hate that the western world has made putting paint on my face synonymous with "taking care of myself."
you can blame women for that
@vxo I agree. I prefer to see my wife without make up most of the time.
"As a woman" I never thought paint on my face was taking care of myself. I can't say i feel like society necessarily says that either they just expect it from you. Personally, i dont care, though. It does nothing for you except a little ego boost. I always felt that ACTUALLY taking care of yourself was adopting healthy habits.
That was my wife until she finally listened to me and stopped wearing make up... its just masking natural beauty
exactly skin care is my make up make up literally makes your skin worse
When I said i love the idea of saving money this one girl said if u are not even spending on yourself you are not being kind and not taking care of yourself... thankfully I could differentiate over “what I actually need and what I think I need “ ... also your content helps a lot
I live in Idaho! Absolutely love this state. I don't have very many social platforms and find it pretty easy here to not have one. Also I love your videos and agree with you on this, new years resolutions should just be a constant practice in your life. Its great to have goals but doing it daily is better than just at the beginning of each new year.

Her back, knees etc agree too
I've only ever been to Starbucks once. I immediately noticed how much they charge for a big cup of sugar with a splash of coffee. I don't understand how so many people fall into feeding their overpriced sugar addiction, or how they need it to live their life.
Ya I don’t get the hype about Starbucks either like really how much ? 😂 no no 😊
As a student, the big draw is the convenience. They're generally open later than most local coffee shops and have a lot of locations. If possible, I prefer not to go to Starbucks (despite working there for a period, decent workplace actually), since I'm not a particular fan of their drinks. The local places are usually cheaper and more creative in their drinks.
My brother in Christ you can ask them to put less sugar in it...

I did a no-spend time and it rewired my brain and I don’t ever want to go back to spending sprees where I have buyer’s remorse for small things I don’t actually need.
I was raised by 3 sisters and a single mother. Two of my sisters were models and beauty pageant girls whatever. I had more beauty products in the bathroom than my wife when we got married because I was raised to really care about how I presented myself to the world. Then after homelessness heroin addiction and living in trap houses without running water I've gotten to a point were I look like trash most of the time and I am not nearly as happy as when I would wake up shower shave lotion up my face blah blah blah. Like I'm in therapy right now with the stated goal of getting my morning routine back in swing. Not gonna lie though it's nearly 1pm and I'm just getting up. But I was blown away that it took me 6months to find a therapist that instead of helping me overcome this failure complex I developed and gnarly depression would say things like "why do you think you need to be successful to be happy" shit like that. Until I found one that was like ok you used to be a small business owner married with a home and several custom vehicles and then you got caught up in the world of addiction lost It all and now you want to rebuild. I honestly wish I had a role model like Brett when I was younger, what an amazing young lady, can’t wait to see what she does in her life, she’s definitely going places 😊
The other thing I had to make things to aim or change and I've found it really helps if I've got something to aim for and achieve, and if I don't, it's not a bad thing it just means I got to better.
The reason people put stop going to starbucks on their new years resolution isn't because they want to stop drinking coffee, it's because starbucks costs 3x as much compared to making it yourself.
She clearly got that wrong. I have a little sympathy for her position. I'm not going to deny people little pleasures. But if your little fleeting pleasures to get through life are expensive coffee, expensive restaurants, concerts and travel, then your expectations of quality of life are getting into Marie Antoinette territory. If you stop going to starbucks, it's probably because you've done the maths. I doubt people who resolve not to go are the once-a-month crowd.
No one should call themselves a coffee drinker if it just consist of sugary drinks. Just don't 😄

Get out really she’s so polished and professional I just think she’s great but wow only 21 good for her! Yay ! 🎉
She looks like a young college student to me, but you’re right about how she’s so put together. I know many people way past 21 who aren’t even close to her maturity and common sense.
Haha yeah I thought that was weird. Thought she was 25-30.
I thought she was 24
I literally found out yesterday that she's 21. She's more wise and mature than most 30s I know. I thought she was at least 26 just based on her wisdom and maturity alone.
Love your channel and love that you call people out on their delusional fantasy. It scares me to think that these people will be running for offices and voting soon
I love that you acknowledge that a reason because you think these people are weird is because you simply have a very different views on things, I think more people should try looking at other people with that same mindset. I wish you would also recognize that words they use and issues they talk about might be different than how you use words and what issues you've had throughout your life. For example when the girl was talking about beauty, u said that ur parents never made beauty such a big deal, but a lot of people grew up being taught that beauty is a big deal and for them it is important to break free from that and sharing that on tiktok can help other people who grew up that way to also break free of the mindset that beauty is such a big thing. I also think that ur meaning of "productivity" and "no spend month" is simply different from there's, I think to them productivity is a word that relates only to work and money, while for u productivity also includes other things and the meaning of that word changes their whole message.
Spending as little money as possible and seeing what little money you can live off of actually gave me a boost of self esteem when I tried it. It allowed me to save money and a sense of accomplishment.
I think she was talking about changing long term spending habits and changing your mindset vs. trying to do it for a month, it probably depends on the person but I understand her logic. One month of trying to spend less money isn't going to help a lot of people who are prone to spending too much money, especially if they've never thought about it and wouldn't be able to just suddenly spend less, like you were able to do. It doesn't automatically occur to them what they want vs. need.
I always try to make sure I keep a good balance with my daughters between complimenting their looks as well as their personality/intelligence. I think both are important for their sense of self and their confidence.
It's better to compliment childrens' actions because that is something they have control over.
They can't control their intelligence and having being "the smart kid" as an identity can be a lot of pressure.
There's also research that if you compliment things they have control over, the kids usually become more self sufficient and persistent.
Don't compliment their looks. Unless you are complementing that they did a good job combing their hair.
I love the video that she says a goal is to get up early at 05:00 or 06:00. My alarms are set for 02:30 and 02:40 to go to my job where I don't get home until 18:00 to 18:30 seven days a week working in the oilfield in Texas
I have a family member who spent a ton of money on luxuries and went into debt (when there was absolutely no need) and now they are blaming their parents for their situation. Absolutely no self-awareness at all.

You are the person that shaped my life to the real world and made me incredibely based and strong in rhis generation
Thank yo so much❤😊
This is important. In my weight loss journey (50 lbs) one of the BIGGEST things that really powered me through it was guilt. Whenever I messed up and ate too much or ate something unhealthy, the feeling of guilt and failure light a fire under my ass to compensate for it and go harder with my change of lifestyle. The issue is these new generations want a safety bubble for anything that doesn't feel great. And you need balance in your life. There is such a thing as too much of a good thing, and if that good thing is unhealthy foods and snacks, you do need to feel something negative towards it. Be it shame, guilt. It makes you own up to it and gives you the opportunity to make a change.
That’s right! Emotions such as guiltness can actually help us to take action. Even worrying, being angry, being sad are good emotions because they can make you take action and once you achieve those goals, those emotions end.
Being well presented shows self-respect and also gives the message to the people you meet that you respect them enough to make an effort to look your best when you see them.

I don't understand how yanks just don't make their own coffee. So strange over there. Get your instant coffee boo, get that hit of caffeine and be thrifty. It's a win all round.
@@alZiiHardstylez most instant coffee just isn’t that good here, and it’ll eventually burn a hole in your stomach 😂
15:30... Did the theme to "Friends" start playing in anyone else's head? 😂
That girl really said she woke up early downed a glass of water then took a nap. YOU AINT WAKE UP EARLY, you just went back to bed LOL

😭😭 I love it
I generally think TikTok is a cesspool of bad creators and trends, but there are some really good exemptions.

Brett you're an inspiration for me and also a role model i hope many 14 year olds see your amazing content
I set a new years revolution to give up smoking dec 30th 2021. Its been almost 18 months and im still smokefree.
I feel bad. I zoned out a few of these girls....and after all the effort and pain that Brett put in to watch them. My brain just naturally blanked out...lol
At one point growing up, my father told me "It's a good thing you're smart." That kind of damage LASTS. So, it's not a bad thing to say stop caring so much about beauty standards and letting our appearance determine our worth, but I agree with Brett that there's a difference between that and being our best selves.
I'm going to be honest, it took me a second to realize why it would be a bad thing to tell a girl that she's lucky she's smart. Sorry about your father's stupidity.
@@antoniotrivelloni8191 In my house we'll use inverted compliments jokingly but if this fella was being serious then that's really cruel. 😞
It’s okay for a father to call his daughter pretty. But it isn’t okay to value intelligence less than looks.
@@juliamay2156 oh, that wasn't the case. He was saying I wasn't pretty, so it was a good thing I was smart instead =)
@@stormyknight1370well would you really rather him just lie to you instead? I don’t understand the criticism of him when he acknowledges that he didn’t give you the best genes (especially when you can compare them to liters billions of people online) but he has helped you to be intelligent which will help you a lot more in life than only having looks.
Honestly, I see the point in the video at 7:30 ish. Doing something like a resolution must come from something you value and something you want to achieve. Just so that in the end you know that you did something good this year, be it charity or losing weight or whatever
I pretty much had to go on a “no spend challenge” around half a year ago now. I’m 17, living with my parents and struggling with chronic illness. Was in a better spot last year, so much so that I was feeling well enough to land a dream job even if it was just part time whilst going to school. Ironic considering when I landed that job I was hospitalized the week before. It gave me such hope and something to look forward too. I lost that in I don’t even remember now, July, maybe? I could no longer handle the physical demand from the job because of the amount of pain it caused. The pain being so bad that it overshadowed the joy and excitement I felt from the independence of earning my own money and not having to rely on my parents for everything. I’m back to having to rely on them, and now that it’s not my money I’m spending, I’m hyper aware of the prices of the simplest things like spices and vegetables for a dinner I want to make. I don’t buy things just because they catch my eye now, I have to think it through and decide: is it worth it, and even if it is, is it necessary, can I wait until it’s my money I’m spending. It isn’t at all an awful thing to be aware of how much you’re spending and what you’re spending it on. The better you watch your finances, the better you are at saving for things you need, or hell, even just a “fun money” pile for when you want to treat yourself. It brings things into perspective and helps limit the impulsive purchases that you end up forgetting about later. I’d say try it. Not even for a month, just a week, and it will help you budget better in the future and make more informed purchases.
Usually the no spend challenges are for people that stock up food (usually large families) and they want to go through a certain part of their stash to see what they go through and how well they did getting things they actually eat. I think it really helps people
The people who hate themselves are the real hollywood movies, I'd rather watch 2½ hours of these rather than watch a new woke Disney movie
Reality television is a major reason why well writen movies dissappeared, the studio thought they didn't need writers anymore. So they now just make shitty comic books movies that are super woke that rake in money for some inexplicable reason
@@PurpleHazeVanNederlands one of the reasons comic book movies make money is because we have a nearly endless stream of people reaching adulthood that grew up with the comic books and now try to get the same feeling they had when they were kids watching cartoons/reading comics, etc
the #1 thing that i took away from this video is my new favorite expression, "making a cupcake out of a crumb"
Those transitions are like next level lol😂
I don't think you want to use "I can be ugly as Rasputin" as your argument, Honey. You do remember what happened to him right? Poison cake, shot a ton of times, frozen lake? 😂
He had the OG big dick energy tho
@@cthulawha yeah but I don't think that justifies using him as an example of it being ok to be hideous and smelly. 😂

I’m from Colombia, South America, and I watch all of your videos🙌🏻 I really believe that if all women in this planet share at least a 60% of your ideas it would be a better and amazing place to live on🙏🏻
The video about budgeting wasn't as bad as the others in the compilation. Also I'm very late to your channel but your content is awesome! Thanks!
I was getting ready listening to this and thought the girl at the end was saying "nose bend challenge." Not another tide pod craze! 😂
sometimes i feel like i could do a lot better (which I can) but everytime i see these people i cant help but feel better. I just cant imagine genuinely behaving like this on a daily basis
😂😂 so true, I came here feeling horrible and am happy again because wow people live and think like this daily 😂
I wish I had the relationship with my mom that you have!! Your mom sounds amazing in all your stories about her :)
I can kind of agree with the productivity girl. Like at the end of the day the things you do should be for a purpose, you should be acting in ways that get you closer or put you on track to reach your long term goals. Me for example, I took a job that’s full-time working afternoon into night with the best pay I’ve ever gotten. I hate the job tbh and every day I’m in pain and exhausted. But this job makes me a decent amount of money which I need to pay rent, my credit card, my car insurance, my groceries, gas, utilities etc. I also need it so that I can start taking classes on Sophia for extra college credits. I’m going to college online to finally get the bachelors degree that I’ve always wanted and I’m making that an extremely high priority pretty much above everything including work a little bit. So I have a couple hours when I get home from work to shower, do laundry and hang out for a minute before going to bed. Then when I wake up I have about 2.5 hours before I have to leave for work. I’ve had to figure out how to fit time in to do my work for college, have down time, eat, shower, do some chores, and get 8 hours of sleep. So I’ve had to stop myself from goofing off when so wake up in the mornings and focus on my schoolwork until it’s time to leave. It’s a bit of a challenge for me because in the past I would just lay in bed the entire time and then go to work and complain later that there’s not enough time for me to do anything. But that is just an excuse, I’ve caught myself in my series of excuses and started to hold myself accountable. “No you have enough time in the morning but you actually have to get out of bed and you can’t go on your phone.” Or you can get the chores done but you waste 4-5 hours at night watching videos of scrolling through social media. I have e-learning to do at work while also doing hands on training and being overwhelmed with all the information and complex timing, extremely high standards etc. and by the end of the night my mind *is* shot so I can’t focus properly to study but that’s not an excuse. I do chores and act productively in ways that don’t require much thinking (after giving myself a break for an hour maybe two). It’s not rocket science but to me I feel like a genius hacking my life lol because for all of my life especially the past couple of years I’ve never really pushed myself that hard and never tested my limits and experimented with what I was actually capable of. I’d quit on a whim, give up when things got a bit too hard, etc. I was one of these leftists up until 2 years ago after my bf “corrupted” me😂. I’ve wasted so much time and have gotten myself so far from my big 5 goals in life and now I’m working overtime to redirect my life. I thought I would have to go on SSD, that’s what my old therapist told me, she believed that it might be for the best and I could’ve easily gotten whatever letters I wanted from her but didn’t want to resign myself to the same destiny as my mother. I dare these people to actually dig in and fight for something.
I hear what is being said in the second last (I think) video and agree to an extent because yes spoiling yourself is important, and I am saying this as someone who has only just learned spoiling yourself is a form of love, but it is not an everyday thing. You need to spoil yourself when you are having an awesome day or going through something amazing because that is when you will enjoy what you are spoiling yourself with more, BUT you should also spoil yourself sometimes when you had a hard day where you made it through and got out happy at the end. Now I know a lot of people will say but that is everyday but it is not and you will hurt your mental health by thinking "But I deserve this every day" because it is not about deserving it it is about you showing yourself some self-love. Sorry for any toes I stepped on
You are the best antidepressant 😂 I love watching your videos and it reminds me that life isn’t as hard as some people make it. Thank you for all you do Brett! You’re amazing! ❤
I lost it when Rasputin came up as a "role model"
Apparently he was Russias greatest love machine but it was ashame how he carried on
@@colinmorgan2737 I am quite well-versed in the whole Romanov-related history, and while he was not the root cause of trouble, I do believe his presence played a big role in making a bad situation worse.
@@sophieschonfeld2943 his presence was a symptom of a weak ruler. Also his success with women based on rumors popularised by song by Boney M

Just getting through a no spend week and it feels so refreshing as someone who was once thousands of dollars in debt. She’s just projecting her own problems on everyone else.
A no spend week is fine if you don't just go spend it and more next week.
The No spend-diet comparison only works for people like me, with adhd , mood disorders, etc; that can easily cause impulse control problems.
Those commercial/sponser transitions are so freaking clean idk how she does it
