If you're interested in hearing his live vocals which are amazing check out their live concert on their youtube "Northlane - Live at the Roundhouse" a reaction to a song from there would be sickk :)
So over the Adrian vs Marcus aspect of this band. Adrian helped start the sound. Marcus elevated it. Man has some INSANE range making this band top tier. Great analysis!
Adrian was hands down better live and better as influence of the music goes. It's a wannabe bring me the horizon cash grab band now. That's why every is still going on about this.
@@aaron5222 : Marcus' live performance at the Roundhouse (and other countless gigs within the last year and a half) really takes the wind out of your sails there. But disregarding that--a cash grab band? Really? What are you, 12? People are talking about them because they're getting more recognition for their talent and sound, and justifiably so. If you prefer their older sound, cool. No one said you must love the new stuff. Plenty of bands evolve over time. But accusing the band of being a sellout or deriding new fans for liking the new stuff is just asinine & childish. Just sayin'
@@aaron5222 ‘hands down better’ absolutely not mate. If you ever went to a Northlane gig at the later stages of Adrian’s time, he struggled on stage and could barely scream and will sing most of the screams as cleans. I loved Adrian and love Marcus (and Northlane then and now) but your comment is just dumb and wrong, sorry. Marcus is top tier when it comes to being able to both sing and belt out quality screams. Marcus is unreal live and doesn’t miss a beat.
@@aaron5222 Putting aside the fact that Northlane seem to be one of the few bands that has never tried to emulate that "BMTH sound" (i.e. anything since Sempiternal, which Northlane does not sound like at all - they went for a more ambient leaning prog at first and now heavy industrial vibes, while BMTH went for a semi post and alt rock sound). Have you actually heard any live performances from Adrian and Marcus? As awesome as Adrian is his voice was often shot live, Marcus on the other hand is usually dead on (pitch, tone, breath control, etc) and sounds as good as can get live
Northlane has quickly become one of my favorite bands. Im still going through finding all my favorite songs of theirs and there truly isnt much that I havent liked.
god dude your breakdowns are utterly fantastic. Clear and well spoken in a way that is super positive and upbeat and engaging. You're literally like someone's favorite high school teacher for metal vocals and can make anyone feel welcome and interested into it. You're pushing the scene forward man and creating new vocalists where it's needed and how it's needed.
The genius is this guy is building everything he is doing. His cleans sound good after he screams and it’s a release, his screams are used to put pressure and it sounds so good because he builds to it. I’m hooked.
@@nixonrnt Misha's just stubborn as fuck. When you think of djent, it brings to mind a very specific sound and style of music, right? That qualifies as a genre in my book.

Ackshually... video being in slowmo means he would have had to run for LESS than the length of the song. They'd have had to speed up the song for him to lip sync to, then slow it down.
I don't remember when it was, but the last time I heard Northlane I really didn't like the vocals. This was awesome, though. Gonna pop out and check out more recent Northlane now.

Would you check out waking the cadavers newest stuff? Their production quality is good for once, so you might be able to actually analyze the vocals. If you don’t wanna make a video on it though, I’d recommend checking it out in your own time. It’s pretty good lmao
If you can please react to another Australian band called Thy Art Is Murder, song called Reign Of Darkness! Death core! We’ll worth a listen! And also in my honest opinion, early Northlane is better, especially the song Equinox ft In Hearts Wake! Worth a listen 🤘🏼🇦🇺
Have you ever reacted to Northlane before? You picked a weird song to start with! This was written for a video game and not completely in line with their back catalogue which has changed over time but is (decreasingly) less electronic.
It wasn't the last good album at all lmao, Mesmer and Alien are incredible albums and Marcus is better than Adrian. That being said, I still absolutely love Singularity! 🤝
Lets take away all studio processing and effects and see what is left. Probably not much. Lol, still great work. I know he is a good vocalist, I just like playing devil's advocate. 🗣🎤🎶🕺
Seeing appreciation for Marcus' vocals always makes me very happy.

marcus' vocals are basically therapy for me
Holy shit! Northlane is my favorite band. Please please please!!!! React to talking heads by them, that song musical and vocals will blow your mind!
The best song on Alien album !
Agree!
I think its impressive how well the vocals are lipsynced to the video taking the slow motion into account
thinking about it further the slow motion is probably synced to marcus. Still impressive
The song is faster, so after that it is slowed and it looks like that
I’d love to hear what you think about Thronhills Casanova, both musically and from a vocal perspective!
northlane single handedly changed the australian music scene imo
Not just Australian, they're the best band in the scene.
