- August 4th, 1974. Ex-Canadian National 7470, dressed up as Conway Scenic Railroad #47 pulled the inaugural run of the Conway Scenic Railroad from there North Conway Depot to the former Conway B&M freight house and back. The run took over 3 hours due to bad track and the cylinder co cks opening and closing. That time has been brought down to 1 hour over the past 47 years and 7470 is still running trains to Conway just as she did over 4 decades ago…

They should buy the track the Silver Lake Railroad ran on south of Conway about 3 miles and extend the train rides to the south. But, there is a breach in the row at a concrete place south of Conway station. They covered up the track for an access road.
47 years… they should do a charter and dress up #7470 as #47! Cool video
