Its too bad its being repainted. It would have been nice to see a Guilford unit preserved, considering there will literally be nothing saved from that era because people have mixed opinions about the railroad.

I love 573s M5, its good that it has it back since i know for a while it had a loaner P5, and to me the m5 screams maine railroading in its hayday, and cant wait for it, 1751 once her issues are sorted out and 1741 is fully operational, it will be be nice to see all 4 running regular excursions together along csrx trackage

They should buy the track the Silver Lake Railroad ran on south of Conway about 3 miles and extend the train rides to the south. But, there is a breach in the row at a concrete place south of Conway station. They covered up the track for an access road.

Actually, 4268 was saved by a private citizen who had it in his back yard until his death. Then the locomotive was acquired by the 470 club.

So I just wanna say a few things. First off, the channel had been getting so many new subs so thank you to all the new and old subs for the support! Secondly, I post a lot of Conway scenic content because I haven’t been able to go out and catch other railroads. But, I have some chases planed out this summer to expand the content from just CSRR! It appears that the grade crossing signal in view here the flashing red lights have a somewhat "strobing" affect in them. Likely installed so to get the attention of motorists not paying attention to their driving responsibilities.

I am confused is the deep horn coming from the stremliner or the high hood and is the regular horn is coming from the high hood or the stremliner?

I forgot to mention that my Super Chief experience was in 2008.

One does not see very many Super Chief locomotives these days. It had been a delight to see a Super Chief up and running at Stone Mountain, Grorgia and it was my first time riding the train in a passenger car. It was a delightful experience.
