Woo Hoo my fave Lovebites song & the epic chorus gets me every time. When they come to London idk about Break the Wall but i will be breaking my head.🤘😁🤘
Gotta love Asami..."Bang your heads!!"🤘 and then everything kicks in full throttle. Between Midori's aggressive style and Miyako's smooth methods, it hard to not get that "WOW" factor with these two guitarists. Haruna is always driving the tempo at break neck speed and Miho's rhythm just blows it out the door. Thanks for this reaction, Ryan! Straight up awesome! 🤘 I hope they come to the states for a tour...
When I first heard Shadowmaker I was interested, but then I found this sound and was completely hooked! Still one of my favorites all these years later.
Break the Wall is yet another banger from Lovebites' discography. Asami demonstrating why she's the perfect voice for this band, Miyako and Midori just killing it on guitars (Miyako's blues inflected solo during the more subdued passage of the song is just sublime), Miho providing some tasty bass throughout and Haruna going absolutely ham on the drums. Most definitely one of the highlights from this live show.✌️❤🤘🇦🇺
There's no denying that you loved this one man. Your face changes from pure joy, to absolute concentration, to disbelief, and every emotion in between. But I must ask...Is there anything sexier than Midori arched backwards in a guitar solo?
From the EP Battle Against Damnation Former bassist Miho wrote the foundation for Break The Wall, while Miyako then added color to the composition. Lyrics: Miho Music: Miho and Miyako Arrangement: Miyako/LoveBites Miyako wrote the guitar solo in the middle with Gary Moore in mind. 🎸🔥🤘
Spot on about Miyako's solo being written from a classical composer's point of view, and this was succinctly highlighted in a review of this song from Raijin Rock : Miyako's "stunningly beautiful solo in 'Break the Wall' could be put in a time machine, then sent back to Pyotr Tchaikovsky to be incorporated into his 'Nocturne in D Minor' without changing a single note"
Yeah this is one of my top 5 Lovebites songs for sure. Their best thrash song in my opinion although many favor Dissonance off their new album. I think Asami's vocals are better on this one than on Dissonance, which is why I still rank Break the Wall higher. But that is just my personal preference.
I have a theory on why Miyako is playing a Les Paul here. On their previous live DVD, Daughter of the Dawn, Miyako plays her Dean Switchblade ML for this song and for whatever reason isn't hitting the bends quite right. They sound sour. Since she uses that guitar for songs that are tuned to drop D, I'm guessing that she wanted a guitar where she could hit those bends more reliably. Miyako only plays the Gibson on two songs during this show, "Raise Some Hell" and this one, so it's a quick change primarily dictated by being able to hit those bends on command. That's my belief anyway.
Thanks Ryan for coming back to lovebites, the more songs of theirs out on everyone's platforms the better imo, lovebites deserve all the hype they are so freaking good, great reaction to a ripper of song by these amazing women, love from NZ

Miyako and Midori: Yin and Yang, dark and light. I grew up on Allman/Clapton and Allman/Betts, and lived through the golden age of metal, and I've never heard two solos this good and this opposite in one song. This was the third song I ever heard from them and was the one the convinced me they are a truly great band.
When Asami says "We are Lovebites and we play Heavy Metal!", you can trust her! The only Lovebites-song I might consider Hard Rock is "Dancing With the Devil". Lovebites' other songs are "old school" Power/Thrash/Heavy/Progressive Metal and their song "Dissonance" even enters Death Metal-territory as regards the music (not Asami's vocals!). And if you want to know what Death Metal sounds like, listen to Death's album "Leprosy". That album is Death Metal in perfection!
OMG. Haruna comes in blazing then plays fills which would be most drummer’s solos. She plays like this for an entire show. How?
Yeah, Haruna is an incredibly skilled drummer.
In my Top 3 Lovebites songs forever (and in my top 20 metal songs!)
The only one song i know that has a vertical lyrics " Die by my side". Then Miyako is a Jan Akkerman's daughter also with the same guitar!
Woo Hoo my fave Lovebites song & the epic chorus gets me every time. When they come to London idk about Break the Wall but i will be breaking my head.🤘😁🤘

The variety of Lovebites compositions is awesome! They never cease to amaze me. 🐺🤘🏻
My favourite Lovebites Thrash song. Miyako's solo with the Les Paul is incredible. Sometimes I even get some dust in my eye during her solo.
That same dust gets in my eye too whenever I see Epilogue.
When I first heard Shadowmaker I was interested, but then I found this sound and was completely hooked! Still one of my favorites all these years later.

Very Slayerish, especially the intro. Classic Lombardo drums and Hanneman (RIP) solo.
I love Haruna and her blast beats🥰
It's the one that'd put a quiet grin of satisfaction and approval even on Kerry King's face🤘
ASAMI: "休んでる暇ないよ。" ; You, there's no time to rest.
haha
Long time no see Ryan. It's so nice to see old friends around. Did you like that Midori's mean and daring smile "Hey, you want this?" ?
Haruna is outstanding as usual
Strong Slayer vibes
There's no denying that you loved this one man. Your face changes from pure joy, to absolute concentration, to disbelief, and every emotion in between.

I love how she slides into that stance and then just leans back into it!!!! Awesome!!!!!!

Deadly venom eating me inside

Nice!!
@@RyanMear 🐺
Thrash Metal for the win. MIDORI shreds in the style of HANNEMAN/KING, only good. MIYAKO’s melodic solo reminds me of GARY MOORE.
Miyako is quite open about that solo being written to sound like a Garry Moore solo.
Gary Moore is one of Miyako's favorite guitar players.
She is covering his song, 'The Loner' on her upcoming Piano Etude OP 23 EP.
All incredible players!!!! Haruna is an absolute beast. She drives this band.
Miyako and Midori: Yin and Yang, dark and light. I love thrash, it's my favorite. For many reasons, this is the single best live thrash song I've ever heard.
If I could only recommend one LoveBites song to any reactor, this would be it. 😏❤️🎙🎸🎹🥁😎🤘
yep I love it too✨🥰🤘

This sure gets your blood pumping ! HARUNA !!! HARUNA !!! HARUNA !!! 🤘🤘
Brandy can you say GARYNA !!! GARYNA !!! GARYNA !!! just even once.🙋♂️

@@brandydynamite5877Ahhh & the endorphins are released.😌
The intro reminds me of Battery and the second solo reminds me of Master of Puppets from Metallica...this girls played old school Metallica
Nice reaction Ryan! absolutly incredible top tier band
"Break the wall" - another special legacy of the wonderful Miho, The natural born headbanger!!!! 🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺
😁
Metal Queens!
Miho Miho Miho! Take that all You naysayers that think Lovebites are only a simple Powermetal Band.
🐺🤘🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Midori!! 🥰
Metal 🤘
👏👏👏👏👏
I definitely prefer their thrashier stuff, even though though with other bands that’s not generally what I go for. Not sure why that is?
Maybe Asami had something to do with it?
@@RyanMear Could be
Because thrash metal is awesome?

what's the difference between metal and hard-rock? people says lovebites is hard-rock and nemophila is death.
Nah, LB is definitely metal. Nemo loves to mix up genres of heaviness

Nemophila aren't death metal lol. They might incorporate some death metal elements, but overall? Nope.
