I'm really grateful that Midori and Miyako were brought together with Lovebites. They would have been outstanding in any other band but together they are something else.
Agree, this will soon be a legendary pairing of two great guitarists. Individually they are awesome, but because they both have a unique style they compliment each other so well and create an amazing sound to the songs by Lovebites.
It is always nice to have my nonmusical talent opinions backed by a real musician. You listen to something and wonder if it is really as good as you think. I listened to mainstream radio for most of my life until about 5 years ago. So I have heard a lot of crap that got foisted on us by the music industry in North America. I liked a lot of it and that is why I sometimes doubt my musical ear. I can't stand most of the modern "music" now though, especially after discovering bands like Nightwish, Bandmaid, Lovebites and Unleash The Archers to name a few(all through the internet). So watching actual musicians geek out over these bands is super enjoyable and I'm now addicted to watching reactions on UA-cam.
Great reaction I like that each one has their own playing/stage presence style but I absolutely love watching Miho headbang and how Haruna looks so happy to be playing the drums. 🤘🏽
This same in studio, try the song Burden of time, one of my favorite rock songs now. Shadowmaker from in studio as well. Theses are all songs from their first album, they re-recorded the songs in their own rehearsal studio, aka The Abyss. Back in October, for third anniversary. Try their song Empty Daydream live, you get Their bit of Dream Theater influence. Um, try Epilogue, Midori plays acoustic guitar. Frozen Serenade, she plays Flamenco guitar. Yes they play acoustic, shred. At the Namm trade show in Anaheim, Cal in Jan 2020, Midori played in the Kemper Amplification area, could sit a few feet in front of her. Miyako was at show as well. Midori is so down to earth, chatting, shaking hands , selfies.
Frighteningly talented and agree with the assessment. What separates this band is they are very melodic with musically interesting leads beyond just their flawless technique. No noise or wasted spaces. Impeccably great teamwork. Terrifying arpeggios and leads without getting lost like other virtuosos. ;) They could jam on this groove for ten minutes while still keeping the listener glued to the monitor. This is the pinnacle. 'nuff said.
Great reaction and this was a live stream (back in Oct. 2020) that was face melting and they've uploaded a few of the songs. They all seemed pretty relaxed during the performance and the mix was perfect and we got to see Haruna a lot more.
The mix really has a big impact on these livestreams. On one of the Band Maid livestreams...you couldn't really hear the kick drum especially on the first few songs. It got better later on but still never as audible as it should have been. It was pretty frustrating.
Have you checked Shadowmaker from these sessions? I freaking love Haruna. Those cute smiles towards the overhead camera. You could meet her on the street and never know that she's a monster metal drummer.
I love them all, but at first the bassist Miho (founder) caught my attention she's a truly under-rated bass player IMO, her stance itself is so powerful, then Miyako (guitars, grand piano and vocals...with such fierce intensity always,) but then Haruna captured my heart and continues to rock it. I love that little woman, she's such a powerhouse on the drums and she's constantly emanating positive energy much like Akane does for Band-Maid, she's the core here and she drives them with her energy, you can just feel it, not the same band with any other drummer IMO.
🤘👉LOVEBITES Eagle Fly Free Helloween cover Awake Again Live from Abyss 1080p ua-cam.com/video/To21HILZvYE/v-deo.html Haruna first fell in love with metal when she listened to Helloween. they actually have some hardrock songs or maybe I'm called it "medium tempo". If you like this song, probably you like another medium tempo songs such as: Dancing With The Devil, Empty Daydream, Burden Of Time, Inspire, The Unbroken.
I also like this song better than the other couple of Lovebites songs I've heard. The other songs, while great, were "metal being metal" for lack of a better term. Metal music, especially speed metal (if that's the right term) can sometimes sound "samey", even if done to a very high level. This song has a lot more variation to it, so it's quite a bit more interesting to me, and pleasing to my ears.

Communication breaking up and I can't figure it out
Baffled
So out of touch with what's to come
All because I just can't seem to get through to you
We wait
Debate
Our fate
Trying to escape from all the deceptive rules
I've had enough
So what's the way for us to get it?
Before you go shoot me down
Now's the time to come together
Hear me out
Cause what I think
What I'm thinking about is
If we let it take forever we just may lose it all
So what I think
What I've been thinking's I just want to be me again
We gotta let go and just open up our heart and minds a little more
Let go
Take a step into a new tomorrow
The panic fuze is burning and the world's on edge
So you gotta let your soul be free - Panic fuzed me!
I wonder what you see whenever you're here standing in front of me
What would it take to make a break
From running in circles that only aggravate?
Inside we hide but why?
Genuine perspective could be the greatest gift we ever share
I care enough to talk about it
Come on
Please don't shoot me down
Now's the time to come together
Hear me out
Cause what I think
What I'm thinking about is
If we let it take forever we just may lose it all
So what I think
What I've been thinking's I just want to be me again
We gotta let go and just open up our heart and minds a little more

Hey, Ryan... completely off the topic of Lovebites, but I put a comment on the community page under your "Next up, Doryemptia!" post. I didn't know where else to put it, as it's not really a reaction request, but a head's up for an album I think you should really hear (everyone should hear, actually). "Queen of the Murder Scene" by The Warning. It required a long explanation. You'll see...
POWER-METAL🤝OPERA-METAL
Well, you spotted out Metallica so you might like Break the Wall or Awakening/The Hammer of Wrath live 2020, it shows one more side of a coin.. Bet you like the solos too
Did they put different audio on top of the video?

Like this version is better than the live but the live is fun to watch
I was going to recommend this, I was also going to recommend Swan Song (ua-cam.com/video/n1BiurShqBM/v-deo.html), if you want to stay on the rock stuff, Raise Some Hell, Don't Bite the Dust, Dance with the Devil, are all fantastic.
Love your honesty! All my love for that but I'm going to be honest to. I want to se first takes. Therefore I'll skip this one.
Se you in the next!
Much Love to you Ryan!
Ooookay... you're missing out on a lot!
