    • @CocoRivington
      @CocoRivington Рік тому +9

      I agree, always found it so puzzling that she hasn't been more successful, since she's certainly as talented (and beautiful) as many A-listers, including her costars in films where she had only supporting roles. I know she didn't get the career boost that Judd Apatow facilitated for Segel, Franco and Rogen, but I've never heard anything negative about her, so I'm just curious what you mean by "politics"?

      If you watch her in interviews you can see that she is extremely nice. So sweet and kind. Almost to the point of being passive at her own peril. Hollyweird can be a bit cutthroat and you gotta be a bit headstrong and assertive to get what you want sometimes.
      If she negotiates the same way then it would be easy to see that she would get passed over or cheated out of parts and roles.
      This same thing happens to Amy Adams a lot. She just got a bit luckier though.

    It's interesting they both made the point that they didn't know how difficult things were going to be because they were young and naive. I've found the opposite, when I was younger I thought things were really hard and scary, as I've gotten older I've realized it's all joke I don't take anything too seriously anymore.

Judd and Seth have both really disappointed me as people. and i dont even know what is up with Franco, i dont want to follow all the trouble he is getting into.

    Conan describing how to properly handle guests is why I don't watch Jimmy Fallon. All those forced bits when sometimes you can feel the guest doesn't really vibe with it.

      Except, that's EXACTLY why his show works. Very impersonal, no pressure on the guests to charm the audience.. just play this game, and guess these songs, and do this bit, etc. Not my cup of tea, but it does have it's merits.

      Jimmy Fallon himself is a fish out of water if everything is not prepared and scripted before the show starts. Nothing illustrated that more than when Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell switched between the two shows as a prank so neither host was prepared to interview the other. Kimmel handled it well but Fallon just didn't know what to do with himself.

    Imagine if freaks and geeks had tremendous heroes the entire world, owes a huge debt of gratitude to instead of random scabs. Quite possibly people wouldn’t shoot up schools so frequently, if they thought there was a possibility for heroes that invented electricity, or dismantle, the deadliest gangs of terrorist, and Muslim, murders in the history of mankind, could be rewarded like the actors of freaks and geeks instead of punished, as if they’re Trailor trash, (Yes, you guys all look like you were mocking the greatest heroes in the history of mankind as he took a cakewalk career ahead of them)there was one point at my school were a kid got caught posing with assault rifles in a threatening manner. He was always telling me to quit the orchestra so he can have his way with the 75. Asian kids in my orchestra my parents made me stay in orchestra because I may have been the only thing standing between that guy and well tremendous disaster. He knew of my family heroism and he knew I wasn’t disposable. It’s funny the military kid dropped out of orchestra his senior year because he had flat feet so he could get a job and had something to live for. And think about it if you had invented electricity, you would know the prejudice that those people face and don’t you owe a debt of gratitude to them sing as television runs on electricity. Think about it if you invented electricity, what technology company would hire, you or your offspring, none of them because you deserve more credit than the CEO, because you invented the most fundamental element that all technology depends on ….bosses wife would probably develop a wandering eye for their engineer if they let historical heroes of technology in criminal justice work for the company.
