The 2 Secrets to SOLID Body Mechanics Animation
Вставка
- Опубліковано 1 лип 2024
- After discussing Body Mechanics animation with a couple of friends recently, I wanted to share some ideas on what I think really helps to make Body Mechanics a lot less daunting. The simple concepts of 'C' and 'Reverse C' shapes in the spine and Head Screen Space and how they work together.
I'd love to hear what you think and if you have any ideas/want to elaborate on anything I've touched on here, then please do leave a comment.
Further, if you have any other ideas for things you think could be interesting to cover, I'd love suggestions.
Special thanks to all those who helped by sending me their work to review, you can find the full reviews on my channel if you want to check them out!

Amazing vieo thank you brother c shape amazing and can you clarify the headspace the main point is to counter balance the rapid movement of the head with the hips in the opposite direction
Thanks a lot, yes you've got that right, just to keep the head as stable as possible. I might make an updated video with some more explanation soon, its been a few years!
HOW DO you know when to exageratte those c poses or make it a slight c?
What if the body is in a front view How to maintain the c shape or make it less static?

Sir, is head space meaning the location of head?
Yes that's right, the 'screen space' of the head
@@owenferny Thanks a lot! :)
This is video number 5 I've watched in an effort to find - how NOT to have gaps in your character while moving it. 5th fail.
If you're talking about character animation, then watch videos about breakdowns and interpolation.
I mean you should add additional poses that define how character moves from pose to pose.
Also your interpolation is probably set to step(constant), If you're in 3d software.
If you're talking about the model, mesh itself you probably should merge some vertices.
