I dont know how people can be shonen fans and not have a constant desire to destroy themselves in the weight room.
I just don't have the time. Regular job and my own company, I couldn't fit it into my schedule. I do core exercises at home, but that's about it.
@@CottidaeSEA If you have time to watch anime you can also lift weights while watching at home. Just need a foldable gym chair and some adjustable dumbbells.
@@TechenZz I watch while going from point A to point B, while showering, while cooking and while eating. I only do it while doing something else.
Hi, I am shonen fan. Every day I have a different debuff. Today was legs...
@@CottidaeSEA If you can't afford any time to relax you need to pay attention to your work-life balance. It depends on how stressful/physical the job is but generally, it is beneficial to have an adequate amount of rest. Ive learnt that the hard way.
“Joey got a personal trainer”…is this title telling me Joey started working out?? NOWAY
Yessir he did
no shade, Joey is not 10% bodyfat. that level of bodyfat is achieved by serious levels of diet or just straight starvation.
Absolutely not. I mean what Joey meant was that he lost 10% of body fat.
Personal trainer solves: you have money but no motivation to do research
Even if you have motivation, it's very difficult to do proper research.
I used to never really take Cross Fit seriously after seeing what their pull ups look like along with the numerous Cross Fit injuries I've seen on UA-cam. I watched Physical:100 seasons 1 & 2 on Netflix with former Olympians, champion wrestlers, judokas, and other disciplines competing, and on both seasons, Cross Fitters won. It made me look at their workout regimen a second time to see what I could use.
But yeah, Joey going straight into Cross Fit after years of being sedentary is ballsy.
Cross fit sucks and its just a sure way to get injury. Its not a matter of if but when
I find it hard to believe Joey is at 10% body fat, that remaining 10% must all be in his face or sumn cause no..lol
Always great to get healthy, good on you! As with anything, if you have the means there is nothing wrong with getting a PT. Especially since there is nothing more important than your health, so the expense is always justified. I struggle with boredom with gym related stuff as you guys point out, so would love a PT for that, but I can religiously stick to a plan with my own cycling training - over 150 miles a week - and I love it, so I guess it’s good to try out different forms of fitness activities and find the one that sticks for you before going down the PT route.
People hate on crossfit, but they can't deny the endurance it takes to do a full regiment.
I'm a gymbro, I don't like crossfit but I can respect the regiment. I much prefer weightlifting and doing cardio occasionally
If you dont enjoy going to the gym, theres no way you will keep coming back long term
It’s my ‘morning coffee’, I don’t enjoy it but I need it to function.
it's called discipline, you do a thing you dont enjoy because you need to do it. it'll keep you coming for years
You can find other ways to be active (e.g. classes, sports) that are more tolerable if you really hate going to the gym. You also have to stick with it for a bit before deciding it’s not for you
@@j00suk1 Psychologically, it's still not good in the long-run. There are other ways to workout and be healthy without going to the gym. It's about finding something you enjoy so that you naturally return to it and not beat yourself up over small things whether it's sports or other workout activities
I've been going consistently for a year now and i don't necessarily enjoy it, i feel kinda neutral about it and sorta conditioned myself to go after work by eating a sweet protein bar before I go. I think it's mostly discipline and I don't stress myself out about being perfect I just go in do it then leave. I don't think you need to enjoy it to do it long term, most people are able to go to their jobs long term and most people don't enjoy that. The results make it worth it whether or not you enjoy it.
bro is for sure above 15%
I legit laughed out loud at him saying hes under 10%. That shit is inhuman torture.
Same. Highly doubt that 10% claim. Said it so confidently too
Im sorry Joey, but theres no way youre below 10% (it's actually not even healthy to be sub 10)...Either way, I'm glad and inspired by your fitness journey!!! Should post more so we can follow!
Below 8 is underfat, 9 and 10 can be perfectly healthy for men
@@summonjikononly for genetic outliers. Generally its more like 15-18% for men if health is the main goal. Healthy bodyfat % is also higher for women, so most people in general regardless of gender aren't gonna be healthy at single digit bodyfat. Most guys have visible abs at 15%, i've heard lots of gymbros say people grossly underestimate their bodyfat and was skeptical, but reading the comments and joey's absolutely confidense when mentioning his bodyfat is starting to make me think otherwise.
Good for joey for getting into fitness, definitely not below 10% body fat though.....
5:40 While im not personally a fan of crossfit since to me it seems pointless, I can still applaud him for starting to exercise more. But there is NO WAY that he is below 10% bodyfat. My guess would be that that is what his coach told him as some random bs ''estimate'', since theres just simply no way that hes at 10%. Being below 10% is bodybuilding level where you achieve it with very strict lean dieting, if anything I would guess joey is at 14-16% at best (which still mind you, is pretty lean)
I think he wanted to say he has lost 10% body fat but mistakenly said he is below 10% body fat
@@ErenYeager-me4em hope thats the case and that its not his coach saying random shit like how the majority of gym coaches do
@@ErenYeager-me4em This would make more sense.
10% bodyfat 😂😂😂
somebody is taking advantage of Joey LMAO.
Just his face is holding like 10% bodyfat
Good work Joey!!!!
14:45 Mine gives me the All Might smile. 😂
Been going to gym since I was 15 and I don't regret it even a bit. Being fit is just too freaking good. 😅😅😅
"you will naturally want to eat healthy" is the kookiest shit I have ever heard
I'm a month away from turning 30 and I've been working out regularly for almost 2 years now. But I don't like gyms, I do it at home. It's the best thing. Get some weights, some bands, a mat, and maybe some racks or a bench, and you can put on a podcast, some music, hang out with your dog while doing it, and it becomes a regular part of your day-to-day life, not a chore.
I think rather than starting with the gym, it’s better to start getting into a sport when you wanna get fit. Sports are fun and makes going to the gym purposeful since fitness = better at sport
If you guys care about health, you shouldn't drink out of plastic bottles. You can buy water bottles made of stainless steel, with lids made of stainless steel, bamboo, and silicone. And if you aren't already, avoid wearing clothes made of plastic, which is the vast majority of them. Look for materials like cotton and bamboo.
I am the exact same way as Joey. Cannot drag my ass to the gym if I'm by myself but it is a breeze if someone is there waiting for me
Cross Fit Joey sounds way to much like 2013 me.
Joey is getting scammed, all that bs the trainer said is not true loo
Dude, when I first went to the gym I thought everyone is going to make fun of me, talk all shit and mess with me.
Dude was I wrong, no one cared or did anything it was just everyone doing there own thing
Also I never felt like it was "fun" to me it was just intense focus, ( one year of gym ) I never felt like this is fun Im always what's my next challenge.
Yes I grunt sometimes I always felt bad for being noisy but I hope everyone understands.
So ya going to the gym 4/5 times a week sometimes 3 if I'm tired from work has become really normal routine
People pretty much have the inverse reaction compared to elsewhere. Fat and don't know what you're doing? You'll have a whole damn cheerleader crew of ripped guys around you in no time.
Noise is the same case, most people do not care and know that it's just like that at the gym with all the weights. I also over thought being loud a ton, it's still weird sometimes, but I'd say the majority also doesn't care
The best thing you can do for yourself is go to the gym. You may feel miserable, but you’re doing your body a favor.
Of course joey does crossfit
Lol, Joey is getting destroyed in the comments once ago
You're paying to lift things
All the gym bros got triggered by the 10% claim😂
