I’m so nervous about having to take away my parents’ keys within the next 5, 10, 20 years. My mom’s a Latina Karen. She’ll throttle me. They lie and say they’ll give up the keys, but they despise being criticized about driving 😭

8:30 Lmao. Farmers are the land holders. Farmhands do the work. So Garnt could absolutely be a farmer at 75.

I like this one, the discussion is so random just jumping from one thing to something completely unrelated.

Honestly? 80 somethings have a whole life time of experience and stories to tell. Make them just chatting streamers. People don't wanna see the old guy? Make the 17 year old vtubers.

Sam Neil owning his own winery and walking his land with his pet pig is the old age I aspire for.

Connor talking about the ambulances in Japan and he's right! One night in Tokyo, we had a fire truck with its lights on and he stopped at the traffic walk, apologised and made us cross before he'd go. We were so confused. He was the one in a rush, not us.

A cousin has gotten pretty good at yoyoing. I’ve told my wife I’ll start relearning at 65 and win a national championship.

In a book series *that started in the 90s* the retired father of the protagonist drives taxis to get out of the house. And then he goes to the elk lounge (basically pub) with his buddies. Retirees driving for “fun job” is whack. I’ll say it. Bc who decides the cutoff point?

Man, if I could retire with a job, I'd be an author and own a bookstore. However, retiring is just a myth in a 3rd world country. 🤡

Depending on the country it might not even exist by the end of this century lol. A lot of countries are just something a colonial administrator drew on a map with no further basis.

I remember when I got off the plane for the first time in Japan after travel restrictions were lifted they had probably 6-7 different old people to direct you around each curve in the line to the entry checkpoint.
If Japan got rid of labor inefficiency they’d have far less issues.

My parents actually surprised like why some old neighbors still doing work even though their kids are also kinda taking care of them. I told her that some guys can't function normally without work or doing something productive
