Blows my mind on how anglers will wear $1000 cold weather/rain suits but then wear flip flops or tennis shoes. If my feet are cold my body is cold.

Love the channel but why does it take so long to get the videos out these days? I remember when we were getting the practice vids as the tournament was still going on and they were just as good then. Also the SMC discount code doesnt work at AFTCO

I saw Matt Arey practicing in Poland Creek when a big squall came in and was raining sideways,you would have never known it by watching him,he just kept right on fishing,never missing a beat.

I've told MANY friends about tuning their jerkbaits! 😎👍 I think you're the first pro I've ever heard mention it.
So many people don't think about tuning them but it's the exact same thing as a jerkbait. Cast it out and reel it back and it should come straight back. Otherwise, when you reel it down, it'll blow out and you're never getting max depth when it matters most.

If you were a videographer/Editor/Producer/Etc, you might have a different perspective. I imagine they already have a back log of videos to edit/etc. So it’s virtually impossible to produce the volume and quality of the videos SMC do within a one week turn around. I’ve only seen maybe 2 people on his personal “media team”. I could be wrong, but I’d bet it’s not much more than 2… if 2. Also take a look at the length of this video, it’s over an hour long. That is a LONG episode to edit… and there aren’t even 4 2-minute commercial breaks built in. Additionally, count how many camera shots you see in Scott’s videos. No less than 3 GoPro, and at least 2 other cameras that McCoy, etc, carry around. When they edit, they have to sync up all those cameras and audio sources too.
I’m a professional Video Editor. This what I’ve done for the better part of 20 years. There are days where it takes a full 8 hours to just edit a 30 second TV commercial.
I’m not faulting anyone for thinking it takes too long for them to post events videos. We’ve all been reprogrammed into thinking this way these days with our microwave society and technology. 😊

I’m from northern Ontario, for early spring smallies literally let your bait sit for a minute at a time and one or two jerks then pause. I find that swim baits are usually when the water is warm is like right before spawn

Are you passing over bass in the deeper water, when you travel from one location to the next, and missing opportunity? Checking your fish locator. I do know bass spawn in shadow waters and weed beds.

Scott, that was a Hybrid bass. Very big one. Half striper, half white bass. Biggest one I’ve ever seen. They’re taller and the stripes are broken up.

To bad you wasn’t in a Striper Tournament. You also solved a Mystery to me because I had someone’s that big at Bull Shoals lake and never seen it but it fought just like that pretty sure it was a Striper
Always prayers for you and your family, as well as all the Anglers, but I'd like to take a moment of privilege to ask what would you guesstimate the weight of that first giant striper and I don't recall you specifically saying with all the krazy weather what the water temperatures were.

I love you show it gritty and hard the ups and downs not just the ups, keep rolling the videos of everything. Looked like a hard week all the way around. Way to grind and stay positive.
I always wonder if you catch a bunch in practice in the “hot spot” how it effects the tournament when you go back to fish? I’ve seen some guys use hookless options or barbless but not being a tournament angler I’m curious. Was rooting for ya and was there. Had a great time.
