This is a complex song to explain. This was part of a kids variety show in the late seventies and early eighties by Trazan and Banarne (the same persons that are Electric Banana Band). Yes they were in cahoots with trafiksäkerhetsverket and tried to educate kids how to act in traffic. It’s a cult classic. But it needs a bit of context.
Yes it is from a classic childrens show from 70s/80s. I think a part is missing in this clip because it used to end with Olyckan discovering that people have slowed down, wear helmet or something like that and then he got pissed off and disappeared. So the message was to stay safe out there to keep Olyckan away. This is pure nostalgia for some of us who used to watch this show back then!
This is from a classic kids show. Early 80s. And yes, it's about safety, but makes no sense because stuff was left out. It always starts with the character looking happy because someone was unsafe, then the song, and after that, the one being unsafe was suddenly safe. A voice over telling us how to behave to keep safe and keep olyckan away, as he looks disappointed and walks away. It was a tv series, so it was more than just this isolated clip as well, he was in all episodes as far as I remember. And btw, the reason the music sounds good is Janne Shaffer. My theory anyway is everyone going "shiiiiiit, we got Janne, he used to play with Abba, we better pull our shit together"
Trazan & Banarne (Banarne stressed on the second syllable) was a children's show with Lasse Åberg and Klasse Möllberg. The series was partly financed by Trafiksäkerhetsverket, that's why they had Olyckan in it. But they also had a lot of sketches, songs, and cartoons. The songs were perform by Electric Banana Band, and like you said, they consisted of studio musicians and very proficient. The humor was intentionally corny, and the general mood of the show was very laid back and relaxed (except for the Tex Avery cartoons!). But I liked it a lot as a kid. I guess you could never make that kind of show these days :)
Literally every Gen X kid in Sweden watched Trazan & Banarne (which is pronounced like banan, but with an e in the end, he was supposed to be some kind of ape and of course loved bananas) in the late 70s/early 80s. Electric Banana Band, which you have reached to earlier, was formed for this show.
@@JonathanRollinssthlm305 You're right Johnathan, since a few years ago a new traffic law puts all the responsibility on the driver of the vehicle, but only at the pedestrian crossings. All pedestrians unfortunately haven't understood that little detail, so they think they can cross anywhere and the cars have to stop, which isn't the case. When I was a kid we had traffic safety for pedestrians and cyclists on the curriculum in elementary school. So at my age I think most people do look both ways before crossing, even at the crosswalks. I hope this is still tought to the kids in school. It should be something you just do without thinking, like you're on auto pilot. Especially these days when so many people use earphones and don't hear the oncoming traffic from behind.

The ending of the video is basically that Olyckan laughs and sing some more and then a short clip where the individual does the stuff right (in this case showing Banarne driving the motorcycle slowly) and Olyckan walks away angry. It was an odd way to show kids how to behave in the traffic and it was one case per program. Bizarre today, but i guess it is those things we remember from the days.😉
It's basically a art-house psa. Lasse Åberg The multi fascinated artist that is behind this. It all started that he wanted to do a child programme Trazan & Banarne (Banarne is a word pun on Arne and Banan = Banana, and Trazan is a word play om Tarzan and the swedis slang term for rag). And then it turned into a rock band. They wanted to be a kid oriented version of Kiss. So the actual band members are some of Sweden's most well known studio artists like Janne Schaffer.
Who ever wanted you to react to this probably had one grogg to much. It’s not supposed to be funny, just scary for kids to be careful in the traffic, and yes it helped coz no one bicycled without a light and reflex!
Det är en del av ett barnprogram, du fick inte se hela inslaget… det börjar med att någon som i börja kör för fort och slutar med att köra lagligt, och olyckan försvinner
A classic in one context. But there are a hell of a lot of these around. Kids shows classics like jag vill ha blommig falukorv till lunch mamma or kapten Janssons skafferi. I would not recommend listening to these since it really needs some connection to the show.

This is why we look both ways when crossing the streets. We have all been warned about Olyckan ...
We have a different experience, then. I see a lot of Swedes just walk out into traffic at a crosswalk without looking

And after that, Ted Åström who's singing this song, always have been called "Olyckan". This is a big part of our childhood.

Trazan och Banarne
A classic from our childhood, and we avoided the accidents, obedobidobidolyckan..!

I definitely watched this year's. Really good. Thanks for the trivia
Nä Trollltider kom 1979 och visades i repris 1985

My little sister cried and hid whenever this song wouuld play (in the show it belongs to). Even I used to feel a little afraid of him as a kid.
Wow! Trauma

Ja, mycket bättre än "bögarnas fel"
You should watch Grotesco - The trial
Ja!!
This song contributed to many nightmares when I was young
Börjar bli dags att lyssna reagera på lite, Dia Psalma - Tro Rätt, Tro Fel 😀
It's from a Children's TV show that aired in the 70ies.

This guy was actually terrifying to watch as a small kid. 😅
I bet!
It is from a TV-show for children during school vacation…mornings..I liked it very much…You’re supposed to learn to protect youself, and others…
Strange suggestion a children's program from the 70s.
Sometimes this channel gets strange
this was like my favourite song when i was 10.. im 35 today xD
Denna är roligare. Från samma tv-serie, Trazan & Banarne. ua-cam.com/video/wyZlY-6D9y0/v-deo.htmlsi=QKwpwYSyKUaqReAw
I think you have to checkout a Guy called Hurula and his song ”22”, not really a classic but still a taste of the semi-punk scene in sweden
SVT lost the effing tapes of Trazan and Banarne! It makes me mad! At least this safety video made it.

Hahaha well we've all had one too many before
Jag älskade olyckan som barn. Han var skitläskig. Tror det var meningen att han skulle lära barn om trafiksäkerhet?
Jag var "kär" i olyckan när jag var liten, HAHAHA

Do you wanna react to Torsk på Tallin - skitgubbe? Think its hilarious
No it's not comedy, just crap! 🤔
