He didn't actually sing in the first movie, so I guess it would be awkward for him to sing this song since he didn't in the original. Zac has an amazing voice but he has a lower tone. A lot of his characters parts were high parts.
He never sang in the movie. They always used someone else so it made it seem he was singing.

Bringing in some nostalgia from my teen age years! The HSM movies came out when I was a kid but I watched all of them when I was 13. Then at 18 my High School batch used "Can I have this Dance" and "A Night to Remember" as our cotillion songs for Prom.
They should’ve had drew seeley on this, he is so talented and so underrated and was apart of HSM.

Apparently, he was filming his show called Killing Zac Efron in Papua New Guinea, and he was contacted real last minute (I think it took them time to finally get in touch with him 'cos he was so remote) and he sent in the little that he could over what was apparently a crappy Wi-Fi network. He probably could have done a little more if he was given a more advanced notice and had better internet. Ah well.

Okay I don’t hate charli. If I’m being honest I am so happy for all the success that she gets and I even like her but what was the point of her being here? They had the cast from hsm and hsmtmts which was a must. They also had some random Disney actors which I don’t understand but I’ll let it slide since at least they are Disney actors.
