Detailed X's and O's less than a few hours after the game? You're insane man. You should do live commentary, that would be nuts.

That'd be some commentating I'd actually tune in for.

Baylor just has too much firepower. About 4 NBA level guys perhaps compared to maybe 2

I predicted a 15 point win and I was pretty close. Houston wasn’t even as good as people made them out to be. They entered the game playing only ONE ranked opponent and I couldn’t look past that fact. It came as no surprise how they immediately struggled against Power 6 conference opponents such as Rutgers and Oregon State (I’ll give them credit for the Syracuse win, it was actually a good game, but it came off as more of a fluke for me)

I wanted to contact you about the Houston Vid you said you were going to do soon. Almost every team out there “gaps” on D to a certain extent. Except it seems to me the “gap” philosophy isn’t actually involved in Sampson’s D. It’s almost more of a Trap Help Pack Contest without any real Gap...? Last night I analyzed a lot of Houston’s D actions - everyone in 1st Half - I’m excited now to see what you have! Thanks!

Great videos! I've been looking for someone to explain the X's and O's of basketball rather than the bs "analysis" you get with tv/radio. But PLEASE change that repetitive music!

Houston had a good start but they just can't hit. Baylor's skip passes worked well and they made a hell lot of 3s

Ok, wow that was quick. 😂 But this is how Houston was scheming this whole tournament. It looks a lot like the Gap D that has caught on everywhere and I feel I started seeing so strongly at UM with Donlon (more pack some trap no switch) then Yaklich (more gap some switch). The thing that Houston does that seems to me to take it out of the “gap” philosophy is that they are aggressively double teaming as you show. Not just hedging like true Gap teams. For some it may be a switch. For other teams the screen defender will race back after a quick double to grab his guy while the help defender will then get back tight on his man. With Houston it looks like they will leave the help defender covering 2 and double team hard into essentially a trap. Do I have this right? Do you have any vids of Houston actually gapping like most other teams? Definitely Sampson likes to clog the middle (help pack) in every game I have seen of them this year. The aggressive on ball trap is what makes their defense different. The players have to be extremely focused and playing well to make this work. Yesterday was a bit of a letdown by this team plus a talent disparity that made matters worse.
