Paper Kawaii - Origami Tutorials You showed the collapse very well, Chrissy, gently pushing the paper... and the squash is not easy to show, you did it very well!
Fantastic tutorial! This beautiful star has become an instant favorite of mine. Thanks so much! It shows how sometimes a video tutorial is much more helpful than a diagram.
I got stuck at 15:31 I'm so shocked I got that far also this is freaking good but fricking hard I just screamed and the whole world practically just heard me even you
Chill music, neat folding, you've got another sub! It was a rad surprise at the end with the light, hadn't thought of that. I've made this as a present for someone so I'll let her know to hold it up against a lamp, thank you.
Overall a good video tutorial but I think at 12:00 u could have taken more time to explain where the new creases will be it was abit hard to figure out I couldnt see if it was to each corner or where exactly those pointers are gonna go. My point is you should just take your time some more to explain the crucial points alittle more precise.. I recommend watching tada shimori forexample or Michael Lafosse for inspiration on how to get better at explaining. I hope u dont take this constructive feedback to ill :-)
No it's fine, thanks for your feedback, I know that the video is not perfect, I was not 100% happy with it. I have been taking a dedicated effort to slow down whilst making the tutorials, it is harder than you think to move slowly, I don't know why. Probably because it is no unnatural. Thanks again.
I have watched so many tutorials for folding this model and always got lost at the collapse. You added a different technique for collapsing and it made it so easy. Thank you so much. I was wondering what type of paper you are using? Regular origami paper doesn't stand up well to all the folds and looks rugged by the time the model is complete. I also find it difficult to find larger paper to practice with. Thank you so much. Deborah
Thanks! I'm glad you got the hang of it, I wasn't aware that there were any other tutorials for it. The paper I used was large origami paper by Aitoh, amzn.to/36e41XR I found it ok for this model, but I know what you mean, it gets crumpled during folding.. The one in the thumbnail was thicker and smaller paper, it was about 80-100 gsm kraft paper, 21x21 cm. Hope that helps :)

When you get a million subscribers we will miss your replies
I cried
I tried making this from a hexagon but the last part you would have to do more folds to do that could you do a video on doing this with a hexagon
It's lovely and I will surely try and make it but I want to know if I can make it with the thickness of an A4 paper?
Like printer paper? It should be fine, thinner the better though :)

I always have problems with stars because of the pentagon, I'm gonna make this but trying to messuare right xD.
I hope you give it a go! 😃
Ali bahmani showed this star on his youtube channel picture its blue and white i love this star
I mean... i came up with a very similar origami piece.
Coincidence
And now I'm left to decide whether to fold this or the Sakura Star for a friend's card...
I'm sure either would be lovely 💗
