  • August, 1947, when, after three hundred years in India, the British finally left, the subcontinent was partitioned into two independent nation states: Hindu-majority India and Muslim-majority Pakistan.
When India was partitioned in 1947, about 500,000 people died in communal rioting, mainly along the borders with Pakistan. In September and October 1948, soon after independence from the British Empire, tens of thousands of people were brutally slaughtered in central India
All the Sikhs & Hindu who left Pakistan and settled in North India. They came to India with empty hands and with hard work and labour job they got their lost dignity within decades. Now in present refugees from Pakistan are well settled and have good business. Let us watch the story of an old lady who came from Pakistan at the time of partition & settled in Ludhiana
