Great review Nick and timely. I’m in the process of buying a used Bavaria Sport 29 as a first boat. Not dissimilar especially down below. Same engine. I sooo can’t wait to get out on the water 😀

Nice boat, because it's basically like S.B.2, it has everything you need and it's nice materials.
It is large and spacious with good berths, but I think I would lie on the foredeck and look at the stars at night, because you can sail away from the city lights.
What’s not to like, well thought out little craft, I am sure they will sell lots of those. Nice to see some more affordable boats now and again.

Nice tour! I have the 28 sport. Same boat but with sunbed aft. Both versions have their pros and cons. I really like the sunbed version though.. both for the sumbed itself and also the big storage you get under the sunbed. Still place for 6 people seated in cockpit also.. I have the D4 300 and it does 32 knots with a cruising speed at 25 with 1,7 l/nm consumption, pretty good

Looks like an excellent business, building and selling such a boat. The luxury ones, too. Eye opening! I've seen here on UA-cam someone building an aeroplane, and is actually promoting his engineering software business by doing so. But these boats, Man. The full comprehension of the price. I am truly amazed.

Very nice boat, and an excellent tour, as always! Is there any kind of privacy curtain that closes over that companionway door? It's so transparent (helped by the lights being on below, of course), that it seems you'd have to duck into the mid-cabin or the heads to change clothes.

I agree I'd sleep feet first in that mid cabin, but it looks like it's not intended to be used like that ... unless your feet need a reading-light :)
Nice that the galley area no.longer represents their sail boat heritage. I'd love a Bavaria 37HT of about 2008 as my next boat but the downstairs turns me off a lot. Its the hard top that appeals. I think I'll end up with a Four Winns 348. Stunning boat downstairs with lots of storage and classy finishes. Would love to see Bavarias modern offerings at 35 - 40ft range.

For all searching out the comfort of fun - then join Goldilocks on this boat for some uncompromised enjoyment on the water. Not so big it takes assistance from the Navy to dock - but not so small that two couples will feel crowded for space. The boat is JUST RIGHT - for day cruising or weekend exploring. Hi Nick love your channel, grew up in Cornwall, dad had fishing boat on mooring for years and now thinking of getting my own boat. Is there anything you can tell me about annual berthing in Cornwall, I know Falmouth well, and know that many of the harbours are tidal, so any advice you can provide would help. I am at this point assuming there are waiting lists for annual marina berths such as Falmouth, Penryn and Mylor. But maybe you have insider knowledge?
Very little knowledge of Cornwall's berthing situation I'm afraid, but best of luck with it!

I really want to know the thought process behind including a can opener in the cutlery drawer, but nothing else. Maybe they determined that forgetting it was the number one simple thing that ruined people's first weekend out in their new boat.

I just recently discovered the joy of boating. Bought a 20 foot bow rider for my family. Sub $15k. I had no idea that these new boats are offered with 20 year financing her in the US. I was wondering how so many people at my launch ramp had $200k boats and drive 10 year old tow vehicles.

So in the second berth, there's a reading light at the far end. That seems to imply you'd sleep with your feet facing out toward the cabin. Or, if you're claustrophobic, it'd be a great way to inspect your feet at night? 😆
It gives you the option. Kids might prefer being the other way around.
@@AQUAHOLIC Hey, I am not a kid and and dont mind at all in my similar boat! But I am also extremly far from claustrophobic, wrap me up like a mummy and even then I am snug as a bug.

Superb boat and has that assuring Bavaria quality. What’s not to like 😁 ahh well, except that incongruous grey plasticky looking dashboard binnacle. Am sure it wouldn’t put me off buying this boat though.
