They updated this line of safes with the simplex lock with a steel bar mounted behind it so the lock can't be pushed in or hammered. You should contact them and get the update. Especially with the update, this seems to be one of the best mechanical, non-electronic nightstand safes you can get.
If you do decide to buy one, buy an updated version with the steel lock-reinforcing back plate. Beware of purchasing older version on the secondary market. I currently have an older version Fort Knox pistol box which does not have a lock-reinforcing back plate and was informed by a Fort Knox representative (6/20/24) that there are currently no retrofit kits available for older versions of Fort Knox pistol boxes which do not have a steel lock-reinforcing back plate. The rep informed me that a new updated pistol box would have to be purchased. Hopefully they do the right thing and provide a fix for this.
