Not many people know this, but there are a few tips that can teach you how to find cheap flights in minutes. Today I'll show you my go-to cheap flights booking tricks that take the stress out of traveling, and keep more money in your pocket.
A lot of you may be wondering, why do we even have cheap tickets? Flights should be priced similarly everywhere!
Well, there are a bunch of reasons why tickets are priced differently: the specific dates, (like a weekend or holiday), currency fluctuations, and the popularity of the location.
So now that we’ve established how the airlines are keeping track of you, how to get cheap flights despite that? Well, the first trick I always try is clearing my cookies, and deleting my browser and cache history. Airline sites are notorious for monitoring users’ browser history, and if you end up checking the same flight multiple times they’ll automatically increase the price. Clearing your data history will help avoid this, and using incognito mode in the future will prevent it from happening again.
How does localized pricing works?
Ok makes sense, but how do the airlines know which country I’m booking from? Again, there are a few ways they can determine this but it usually boils down to your IP address, cookies, mobile tracking, or your wifi connection.
Which VPN can help with cheap tickets?
Using a VPN for traveling is actually easier than you’d think, for example, let’s download my go-to option, NordVPN. Not only do I find Nord to be one of the best VPN for travel options, but I also prefer to use it in my daily life since it comes equipped with various security features and is really user-friendly.
How to use a VPN to get cheap flights
Alright now that I’ve got nord vpn all downloaded, let’s check where to find cheap flights. I’ll choose any random server, for example, Brazil, and now I can write down the flight prices I found using this location. Now I’m going to clear my cookies, make sure you don’t forget to do this, otherwise, that data could be kept track of and affect the final flight price. Great, now you can just repeat this process with as many servers as you’d like until you find the best option. This is not the best way how to get cheap flights last minute though.

I’m confused I’m in Richmond so I should get a vpn and say I’m in Brazil it will show me cheaper flight from Richmond to wherever is this correct or am I missing something?
Don't convert it on the website in case they give you the local jacked up price. Convert it yourself on another browser or device to be safe and compare, see if it's worth it. I bought it in US dollars and it was still cheaper than what other people got locally.
There is a simple reason why tickets are priced differently. " It's a demand and supply" as simple as that. 👍
Here’s my question: I use discover card not accepted in Australia (I live in America) so when I’m about to purchase and it says $600 Australia. Can I put my discover card in and it will charge normally or do I have to use a debit card or card accepted in Australia?
Well, if the airline won't accept Discover, you're kind of out of luck. Personally, I'd use AMEX though. The reason I like using my AMEX card is because, although many credit cards will give you a fair deal on foreign currency transactions (e.g. no fee), the merchants still run the transaction in US dollars, which means that they (the merchant) are converting the local currency to USD, and you get whatever rate they give you. AMEX is different. AMEX is always run in the local currency, and then AMEX converts the transaction to USD. In my experience, which has mostly been travelling to Mexico, AMEX always gives me a MUCH better conversion rate than even the best and most competitive bank exchange rates. YMMV.
Does this work from a phone just as well as a laptop?
How to pay for it if you are in California use your VPN in Mexico
You did purchase ticket
Now you have to pay Passos.
You have to convert dollar to pesos
i followed this step by step. cleared everything (cookies, cache, history, the whole lot) . switched the vpn to brazil to start then tried all of the countries listed, went into incognito mode and the price was the same each time. no change.. i am using norton vpn so not sure if that is the issue or not. but i am having no luck.
I don't think it matters what VPN you use. They all work essentially the same way. It's about what endpoint you appear to be coming from. Although I hear a lot of talk about this technique, I am honestly very suspect of it. I'm not saying it doesn't work, but I think it only works under fairly specific circumstances. In particular, international flights, and more specifically flights to / from countries with more depressed economies.
I don't think you're going to get a deal on Delta, for example, for a New York to Los Angeles flight no matter where you book it from. Furthermore, I think some of this could get complicated or problematic with major airlines (again thinking Delta) if you ever have to identify yourself during the booking process (like entering loyalty numbers), and you'd be crazy not to use their loyalty programs to rack up miles on a long haul flight like that. I did notice that his flights he showed in this video appeared to be international flights, and he was a little short on the specific details. In the end though, I definitely would say that your choice of VPN has little or nothing to do with the outcome.
agreed i was using it to check flights to europe on various airline and following this creators step by step using all of the countries he mentioned and nothing changed. speaking of delta i have noticed in the last 2 months that even though i am on an incognito tab that if i log into my skymiles delta remembers everything i did. so i still have to clear cache before i shop fares every time so really no point in using incognito anymore. i can only afford to fly 2 may be juts 3 x per year so it is not that big of an issue. but for other who travel more frequently it could be a PITA
FYI flights from Brasil are always more expensive
I cleared cookies and used a VPN. Didn’t work. Too good to be true
tried different VPN makes no difference flights always the same Price, time wasted done
did you clear cookies?
how can i reach you?
Do you no longer recommend private Internet access VPN?
money make anyone recommend virus
It didn't change a penny regardless what server i used. It's a load of nonsense.
My old. Lives in america want to visit his family first time in 51 yrs. In eatern libya are there any suggestions. Or ideas. It seems there are no airlines go to eastern region of libya. Thx.
There are no direct flights from most countries to Libya. You will have to fly to either turkey or Tunisia or Egypt transit. Then you can book a flight to Libya.
What do I do when the currency changes?
Don't use a debit card, for one. You'll always get hit with a foreign transaction fee that way.
But many credit cards allow you to make online purchases in other currencies for free.
Best thing to do is call customer service on the back of your credit card and ask what the foreign transaction fees are. I know my chase credit card has $0 fees for online and in person purchases made in other currencies
@@zap_collection6511 In some cases even with the fee it's still cheaper.
@daenaschuh4198 If you're from the U.S., set the VPN to a country that uses the U.S. dollar as their currency. (There are about a dozen such countries, i.e., Panama.) Boom! No currency exchange issue.
Hey, i already booked my flight, but my name shows in passport as "Elle Aliya Johanna James, but in my e ticket shows"ElleAliyaJohana James, without space, does it will be a problem?
Nope, don't worry
Dont worry about it Elle Aliya Johanna James
no, dont worry
Trying to be over smart , he is showing Ryan air which is cheapest airline as well he is showing flights from nyc New York airport John f Kennedy airport from where the tickets are really cheaper
It does not work for me even when I use the VPN. What am I doing wrong 😭😭😭
I am using Surfshark VPN trying to find cheap flights from Dublin to New Delhi. Any helpful advice?
its a myth, the prices are the same regardless of how many times u check.
@@user-om2io9uq6kit works. You didn’t do it right
@@user-om2io9uq6k this is true. The prices don't change based on number of visits YOU make, but on the total amount of traffic received over a certain period of time.
The more traffic the airline gets from anywhere, the higher prices become. The less traffic it receives, the lower they become.
And this isn't an every day thing either, it's only during extreme changes in traffic
You didn’t pray first.
Dude you don't undestand incognito mode...
