Logan seemed so selfless to try to hide the girl he was working with first - the fact that he ran out to verify what was going on, I think that was important too. He may have been the first, or only, person to call 9-1-1, who knows. He says that he wasn't 'smart' and felt like he couldn't protect himself - but I think his actions were very brave and that he helped save lives. I hope he can move on from this and be okay.

You'll notice in a spree shooting, unless the person being interviewed about the event is a veteran or police, the first shot gets their attention but they don't usually think it's a gunshot right away, and they may dismiss it.
Depending on the caliber, and the environment, and what it hits, a gunshot can sound like a loud snapping or popping noise, or a bang, like something heavy dropping. It generally doesn't sound like it does in a movie.
The first time I ever heard gunshots in a dangerous situation (from what turned out to be a drive-by shooting afew houses down from the business I was in) we actually joked that the popping sounds were gunshots, thinking they were something else-- before growing suspicious as we heard more, and then a car suddenly went squeeling past us backwards down the street, with one door open and a terrified young man shot in the leg struggling to catch up...
And I KNEW what gunshots sounded like, I had been to the range even as a child. I was familiar with the sound of gunshots-- but only in that setting, or in movies. And a handgun bring shot on a street full of two and three story homes and businesses sounded completely different.
In another setting, I heard a police officer s screaming and firing what I hope were warning shots at a fleeing suspect in a patch of woods next to where I parked my car, and I was six months pregnant. There again,it sounded quite different-- more of an echoing BANG.
Take a popping or banging noise seriously, don't freak out by any means but pause to give it a moment's attention. Do you hear anything else alarming? Do you smell anything odd?
    Does the sound repeat?

Yeah, the first time i heard a gunshot, i was actually caught in the crossfire of a drive-by shooting when i was about 9yrs old. I was with my older brother who was 13yrs old, and my 3 cousins who were 12yo, 8yo & 5yo. My brother was the one who yelled at all of us to get on the ground at the first gunshot that went off. He was hovering over me and told my oldest cousin to protect my other 2 cousins. That seemed like that went on for more than 5min. So ever since then, i’ve gotten paranoid anytime i hear a pop noise. We all were ok, and it was a miracle none of us got hit. And all 3 of my cousins and my brother are in the military now. My brother in the marines and my cousins in the army.

Civilians do get caught in the cross fire or they shoot the wrong dude but most of the time its gang related. If you want to call it domestic terrorism I wouldn't argue with you because they still are terrorising where they live. These type of incidents are random thoe, these guys just shoot whoever wherever and if they have an agenda they just take it out on who fits it thats the difference.

How about blaming mental health ? How about blaming store policies that don't allow employees or independent contractors to carry concealed weapons or open carry of firearms. Gun free zones are soft targets and these shooters pick soft targets because they don't want to be shot, not because Christians "deserve it".

I think I'm going to start thinking about my surroundings in terms of hiding or protection. I liked how Logan hid his friend in a trash can, like maybe put it over them or something?
Anyway, I'm so sorry to all of the ones who were hurt or traumatized by this whole ordeal. This is why I try to treat everyone with enough love and respect, to try and care about other people so that they feel seen too. I'm also vigilant about people's personal troubles and often consider if something is worth mentioning to an authority of some sort. We can't know when someone is going to snap, but maybe with enough planning we can survive.
One of these days I'm sure I'll be in another wrong place at the time of something terrifying and brutal going down, and when it does happen, that I'll be ready and take action for survival and protection of others.

@@KiX-K4T13 this shooting happened in my hometown - my sister survived Columbine and has lived with truama and survivors guilt. One thing she has learned after years of therapy and self defense classes is to always be aware of exits. In grocery stores, movie theaters, work, church - even her own wedding, she knew the exits. She knows where to hide and how to hide others. We went to a Bed Bath and Beyond recently and she pointed out the exits and where to hide should something go down.
That is no way for someone to live but I think we're just about there. Its not a bad idea to know exits or even to arm yourself with something as simple as bear mace. Grocery stores have exits and even better than an exit were an alarm sounds, stock rooms where you and others can hide or escape. Employee break rooms where the door can be shut. Some videos on here even have what to do in a life or death situation with some helpful points.

It’s one of my fears. I only work where I work and work the hours I work to accommodate my schedule with my partner and our kids. Prayers to the family and friends that lost a loved one or loved ones and prayers to the survivors to keep them sane and not feel guilty for surviving! DO NOT not allow yourself to be a victim, If a few citizens had been armed and trained then they would have not have had to hide Feeling and Being unfortunately HELPLESS Taking cover and returning fire would have been a better choice for 9 people.the officer wounded the shooter one more could have finished job. You ever see the trespassers will be shot signs on peoples property? People dont do much trespassing there. Loss of life very sad, but why is this always happening in gun free zones .. like lambs to the slaughter for those looking to cause harm. Let me ask... they know they are going to die in most cases. Why are they not doing some other crime? Like stealing a yacht, just some example in no way am I saying do that. What is the gain? These events past maybe 50 years ago or less did not occur from ordinary civilians? ... Strange we see a string of this as congress is pushing gun control? Why would they want to defund police and take away your personal protection? Is that safer? Just curious coincidence. If I were investigator I would try and get communications of everyone in that store and the shooter. Glad these people are alive but they dont seem that emotional.... like, like, like🤔....you would think it would have been pretty traumatic? Again not saying it's fake, but most dont believe 911 official story , gulf of tonkin? Some would most certainly would sacrifice a few souls to pass gun control... they have a greater good not individual rights mentality. Do not let Congress use this to strip you of your safety.

Let’s stand together and fight for each other. There’s an evil force out there trying to divide us. I am a believer in Jesus and now I see that we need to have that Christ like love like never before

I am from Littleton. I am on record 3 years ago warning and telling people to flea from Colorado because they would be hit with the worst fire fires in the history of the state. Yes that came to pass. Boulder is as liberal as it gets and it is a known fact that liberalism is modern day satanism and this is the political and religious faction of AntiChrist. God's protection on a state that is governed by a child of Sodom and Gomorrah is not going to happen.Even the shooter was a stranger to the land.
(Isaiah 1:4) "Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward."
(Isaiah 1:9) "Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah."
(Isaiah 1:10) "Hear the word of the LORD, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah."
(Isaiah 1:7) "Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers."
(Isaiah 1:18-20) "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it."

If anything like this happened to us or being witness to or caught in the horrible situation such as this, would we be able to speak in such a way so soon after it happened? This is a legitimate question. I have never seen anyone completely loose it on air like a genuine reaction when it comes to losing people you knew or did not know because of such a horrible situation. Even worse if you actually witnesses someone losing their life in this way.....is this what a normal reaction looks like??? I don't think so....... And anytime this happens, because this is status quo for America, the persons speaking out about it always appear this way, speak like this and show no real signs of trauma. Are you all not seeing this??? People have lost their lives according to all these reports and I have yet to see a genuine reaction from anyone in regards to such a tragedy. What is really going on??????? Its off, and its always off when the interview happens, again, are ya'll seeing this??? And yet again...it's Colorado. Lockhead Martin and the like. We have legal open carry and concealed carry permits are easy to get here in Michigan, and they have made Detroit a real PARADISE! BTW, the places these things are happening are generally in places with lax gun laws! Boulder is a rare exception, except even there, you can open carry if your gun is in a case - making getting to the target with your gun pretty damned easy. Never once has one of these incidents been stopped by "a good guy with a gun".
Bottom line - no civilized nation has the level of gun violence we have, and none have our lax gun laws. How much simpler can it be? When people are not running around with guns, fewer people get killed! Britain has a much lower violent crime rate than us and even their COPS (other than special units) do not carry guns!

But it definitely could have helped. The man being interviewed even had time to go outside, see that there was shooting, then go back inside, and hide, and then the shooter came inside, so there would have been time. This is from today’s news about shooter:
Authorities on Tuesday identified the suspect in the shooting deaths of 10 people at a King Soopers grocery store in Boulder as Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa, a 21-year-old with a history of violence. On a now-deleted Facebook page, Alissa described himself as “born in Syria 1999 came to the USA in 2002. I like wrestling and informational documentaries that’s me.” He also said he was “interested in “computer engineering/ computer science.... kickboxing.” Posts about mixed martial arts, especially jiu jitsu, dominated the page. Alissa sometimes posted about Islam, often about prayer or holidays.

When anyone is in a life or death situation one will initially fight, flight, or freeze. None of which the person should be shamed for doing. It is sad, that we live in a society where people need to be prepared and alert for things no matter what environments they are in while out shopping, at school, at, work, while at home, and while attend a place of worship etc! Seven mass shootings in 7 days, is seven too many! All of which could have been prevented!
