The hardest part is the flash backs and panic attacks the part of you brain that deals with the trauma can’t depict weather it’s a memory or really happening so it’s a constant cycle of nightmares panic attacks. I can’t even look at a knife anymore I trust no one and barley leave the house but in time with help I’ll get better. Mental health isn’t something I’d ever had to deal with before. You take one step forward and ten back but you have to keep going and not let it beat you. I’ve learnt it’s ok not to be ok

Before I was a dad these videos bothered me and I always thought how can a person be so cruel but now with half my heart with my daughter I find it hard to think of the pain the parents must have felt and still feel. I'm not sure I could continue to live if something happened to her, if I could take all her pain she will feel in this world I would without a moments thought for myself. I know I am not alone when I say this but all we can do is our best and make sure they know we love them. Stay safe everyone

I am originally from Springfield, IL. John Ewing was my oldest sister's father in law. I knew these people and this is NOT how l remember the story... Mr Ewing & his wife, Mary went to Lauderbach's to run in for a few minutes. The killer later did end up as a patient of my mom's at St. John's Hospital. Essie L Smith, RN. (R.I.P.) I remember very well. At 1st this guy who was "apprehended" did not know why he was in the hospital. He did remember dropping some Acid or PCP earlier. Said when he went into the store and saw 3 human sized cockroaches approaching him and grabbed an ax for self defense. When told what he'd 'actually done' he was overcome with remorse, horror, shock & cried very, very long & hard & uncontrollably. Mom said he would wake up every hour or so screaming in horror & was very very distraught. Mom also said he wasn't an older man. He appeared to be a mid to late 30's, rather nice-looking Caucasian male...definity not a Black man. My mom is Black & Native American. She would've known for sure. R.I.P. Mr. Ewing & Mrs Ewing too. They'd already lost 3 sons...😢

It's the hospital's job to keep patient records. You don't go around harassing individual doctors & nurses to 'reveal the identity' of people who've stayed there.
Right,I'm sure that's what she thought too. Like go get your warrant or whatever for the hospital. I’ve been familiar with many of the cases covered in your videos and I feel that you’ve probably used every resource available to present each case with as many details as possible...it is frustrating to click on a video only to hear an automated voice and realize that the broadcaster took the story, word for word, from an online article. Speaking of "Ax Murders". I'll never forget the Candace Montgomery/Betty Gore case where Candace killed Betty with an ax and struck her 41 times. There was a made for TV movie "A Killing In A Small Town" starring Brian Dennehey. Excellent portrayal of the true events that happened. And very eerie. Ironically the killing took place on Friday June 13th 1980. The same time when the original Friday The 13th movie was released. She was found not guilty. And this was in Texas.

All that time and effort to avoid giving a name, and turned out it wasn't him and the nurse never saw any consequences for DOING THE RIGHT THING. So selfish and wasteful.
My father was on the scene of the Hendricks murder case, he was working in the coroners office at the time. He was the third guy on the scene, his partners warned him that what he was about to see would be gruesome. Nothing usually phases my dad but he still doesn't like to talk about what he saw. There are two stories about that night that really stand out to me. One is what happened when David pulled back up into the driveway. My dad was the one that had to tell him his entire family had been murdered. He had a stone cold face with no emotion, all he said was "Even little Benjy?". That's when my dad knew that he did it. His son Benjy had got axed the worse, almost to the point of the being decapitated. It is believed Benjy woke up and tired to "Fight back" as much as a five year old could at least. It seemed like he was asking "Even little Benjy?" almost like he wanted to make sure he was truly dead. That's when my dad knew that he did it. Years later he wishes that he said "Your family is okay and they're actually in the hospital" to see what his reaction would have been. My father once said that "If you had told me that my family had been killed by an axe murderer, you could not hold me back". To this day he still gets really angry that they couldn't get him on the stomach contents from Chucke E Cheese, he claims "it's the biggest miscarriage of justice I've ever seen in my career" The second story is much more humorous, in a really morbid sort of way. When my dad and his colleagues were walking through the house, he heard a scream from downstairs. He rushed back downstairs and asked what was wrong. The guy says "Holy shit, she looks absolutely ugly in her wedding dress". My dad got really mad because he thought something had happened.
@@hesitatenothing police have minimal training in things like human behavior, psychology, etc. Most cops don’t even graduate from college. I have been a social worker for 25 years, have a Master’s Degree and a license. Again, most people have little idea how one react with grief and trauma responses.
I LOVE Ireland. Went in 2014 - Would LOVE to go back! My Daughters fell in Love with it as well & they have both returned. My youngest has been 2X & actually eloped & married on the cliffs at Kerry!
That last story really intrigued me the most with so many unanswered questions and I wonder if there would be any DNA evidence to support or dispute David’s innocence. They never mention how he behaved when he discoverd his family was annihilated… like was he genuinely distraught and disturbed by the news?? So many questions…for all appearances it was the perfect murder…crazy!

Those poor babies and their mommy 😢. I can only imagine that some of them seen or heard their family members being butchered and the fear they must've felt in their last moments. I truly hope this will be solved one day, especially with all the advanced DNA testing we have nowadays.
The case against David Hendricks was incredibly weak and I honestly think he is innocent. The only physical evidence seems to be the undigested food, which doesn't prove anything. I'm skeptical about his supposed motive as well. The fact that David flirted with some models doesn't mean he must have brutally slaughtered his entire family. There's plenty of reasonable doubt in his case.
So who do you think would axe murder a mother and children and why? David wouldn't be the only repressively religious man to commit murder in order to move on and not have a stigma of leaving his family. He had a wandering eye (and hands), so he had motive as well as opportunity.
I think it's likely David did kill his family. Just because they couldn't prove he cheated doesn't mean he wasn't tempted to. Just because everything came off as if they were happy doesn't mean they were. A person can harbor resentment easily.

I am originally from Springfield, IL. John Ewing was my oldest sister's father in law. I knew these people and this is NOT how l remember the story... Mr Ewing & his wife, Mary went to Lauderbach's to run in for a few minutes. The killer later did end up as a patient of my mom's at St. John's Hospital. Essie L Smith, RN. (R.I.P.) I remember very well.
At 1st this guy who was "apprehended" did not know why he was in the hospital. He did remember dropping some Acid or PCP earlier. Said when he went into the store and saw 3 human sized cockroaches approaching him and grabbed an ax for self defense. When told what he'd 'actually done' he was overcome with remorse, horror, shock & cried very, very long & hard & uncontrollably. Mom said he would wake up every hour or so screaming in horror & was very very distraught.
Mom also said he wasn't an older man. He appeared to be a mid to late 30's, rather nice-looking Caucasian male...definity not a Black man. My mom is Black & Native American. She would've known for sure.
R.I.P. Mr. Ewing & Mrs Ewing too. They'd already lost 3 sons...😢

It's the hospital's job to keep patient records. You don't go around harassing individual doctors & nurses to 'reveal the identity' of people who've stayed there.

I’ve spent a fair amount of time, over the past year, exploring multiple crime channels and I have to say that your content is the most authentic. I’ve been familiar with many of the cases covered in your videos and I feel that you’ve probably used every resource available to present each case with as many details as possible...it is frustrating to click on a video only to hear an automated voice and realize that the broadcaster took the story, word for word, from an online article. Anyways, thanks for not doing that

Speaking of "Ax Murders". I'll never forget the Candace Montgomery/Betty Gore case where Candace killed Betty with an ax and struck her 41 times. There was a made for TV movie "A Killing In A Small Town" starring Brian Dennehey. Excellent portrayal of the true events that happened. And very eerie. Ironically the killing took place on Friday June 13th 1980. The same time when the original Friday The 13th movie was released. She was found not guilty. And this was in Texas.

Brilliant, got to love a good criminally listed video to finish of a day!
My father was on the scene of the Hendricks murder case, he was working in the coroners office at the time. He was the third guy on the scene, his partners warned him that what he was about to see would be gruesome. Nothing usually phases my dad but he still doesn't like to talk about what he saw. There are two stories about that night that really stand out to me.
One is what happened when David pulled back up into the driveway. My dad was the one that had to tell him his entire family had been murdered. He had a stone cold face with no emotion, all he said was "Even little Benjy?". That's when my dad knew that he did it. His son Benjy had got axed the worse, almost to the point of the being decapitated. It is believed Benjy woke up and tired to "Fight back" as much as a five year old could at least. It seemed like he was asking "Even little Benjy?" almost like he wanted to make sure he was truly dead. That's when my dad knew that he did it. Years later he wishes that he said "Your family is okay and they're actually in the hospital" to see what his reaction would have been. My father once said that "If you had told me that my family had been killed by an axe murderer, you could not hold me back". To this day he still gets really angry that they couldn't get him on the stomach contents from Chucke E Cheese, he claims "it's the biggest miscarriage of justice I've ever seen in my career"
The second story is much more humorous, in a really morbid sort of way. When my dad and his colleagues were walking through the house, he heard a scream from downstairs. He rushed back downstairs and asked what was wrong. The guy says "Holy shit, she looks absolutely ugly in her wedding dress". My dad got really mad because he thought something had happened.
We can't assume we know how others would or should react to tragic or horrific news. Grief and shock are unique responses.
@@hesitatenothing police have minimal training in things like human behavior, psychology, etc. Most cops don’t even graduate from college. I have been a social worker for 25 years, have a Master’s Degree and a license. Again, most people have little idea how one react with grief and trauma responses.

That last story really intrigued me the most with so many unanswered questions and I wonder if there would be any DNA evidence to support or dispute David’s innocence. They never mention how he behaved when he discoverd his family was annihilated… like was he genuinely distraught and disturbed by the news?? So many questions…for all appearances it was the perfect murder…crazy!
They did mention that they thought his behavior was calm and strange.
I’m leaning more towards that his business competitors either did it or hired someone else out to do it.
It would have to be some pretty strong DNA evidence because the crimes happened @ his house. Obviously his DNA and fingerprints would be everywhere.

Those poor babies and their mommy 😢. I can only imagine that some of them seen or heard their family members being butchered and the fear they must've felt in their last moments. I truly hope this will be solved one day, especially with all the advanced DNA testing we have nowadays.
The case against David Hendricks was incredibly weak and I honestly think he is innocent. The only physical evidence seems to be the undigested food, which doesn't prove anything. I'm skeptical about his supposed motive as well. The fact that David flirted with some models doesn't mean he must have brutally slaughtered his entire family. There's plenty of reasonable doubt in his case.
So who do you think would axe murder a mother and children and why? David wouldn't be the only repressively religious man to commit murder in order to move on and not have a stigma of leaving his family. He had a wandering eye (and hands), so he had motive as well as opportunity.

I think it's likely David did kill his family. Just because they couldn't prove he cheated doesn't mean he wasn't tempted to. Just because everything came off as if they were happy doesn't mean they were. A person can harbor resentment easily.
