    That intro was awesome 😎

    That was a very entertaining intro!
    I'm still struggling with learning to operate my backhoe. The backhoe itself, and the tractor hydraulics want to work harder than the mass of the tractor will support, so I tend to take too big a bite, and move more tractor than dirt and roots. A trick that helps a bit is grabbing up my 300+lb rock in the root rake grapple to add a little more weight to the tractor.

      The backhoe takes time, and you will learn the trick. In your defense, I started working on excavators when I was eight.

    That TYM really packs a punch, i think it’s stronger than other machines in its hp and weight class, impressive the way it handles the stumps

    Great backhoe work! You don't waste alot of movement removing the dirt from the hole, only enough to clear the spoils. You'd have fun in a mini X with more fluid controls. Great intro to video also!

      Thank you my friend. I love the Swiss Army Knife aspect of a compact tractor, but a Mini X would be fast! I am working to grow my skills with video. I feel like some of my work is dry. I am going to try this style for a while.

    Looks like that backhoe had decent power digging those out. What has your opinion of the backhoe been so far? Thanks for any input, this combo is the top of my list so far to purchase the end of this year.

    Enjoy your videos, let me say I have no experience operating a backhoe, but I've noticed, with the tractor type backhoe, when you lower your stabilizing arms, you don't raise your back tractor tires off the ground like a regular construction backhoe. Was wondering the reason why,

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  3 роки тому +3

      Tractors are not meant to work that way. There is no reason to do it with a construction backhoe for that matter. The higher the backhoe is raised, the less depth it can dig, plus the higher center of gravity is not the Operator's friend. Many Operators think it is cool looking. The physics of it is off. Outriggers should be used to level and support. Anything else, for most situations, is like all the young men running around with their pants sagging. Only looks, but no function. 😇😇😇

      Maybe the backhoe mounting frame to the tractor is week. The rubber tires partially on the ground absorbs vibration. The rock&rolling absorbs excess stress.The job got done with only 50 hours of practice on this machine. Nothing "snapped off" equals total success.

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  Рік тому +1

      There is nothing gained by lifting the rear in the air. It does cause the tractor to lose digging depth because the butt is hiked in the air.

      @@TonysTractorAdventure Just saying,agree 99%. Just like to have the Full weight on the stabilizers for a Great " lock in", and usually only have at least one wheel off the ground a 1/2 inch where maybe the other one is 2 feet "air-born" just to stay level. Even with the front end "jacked up" maybe 2" on the level ( rare), cutting edge dug in at a reverse angle the whole tractor hardly moves a 1/4 of an inch= perfect stability,& very precise, and accurate on grade digging. Just seems to work best for my TLB with 925hours; only tighted some of the 68 (sixty-eight)mounting bolts Once( and check all the time) . Sure is nice having a digger that doesen' t "flex-a-late" , jump around ,& gets the job done so easily even at 9.2 feet deep. Thanks for all your Great Vidios Sir.

    what size bucket are you using on this backhoe?

  • @tractortyme

    Yeah I've been thinking hard about getting a mill since I've got 60-70 cord of uncut lumber. Too bad it is mostly spruce and fir.
