I just hope they have a wide variety of biomes. I like my deserts and plains but sometimes it feels like people consider them wastelands when they absolutely aren’t.
isn't the problem with a wide variety is that you either get too nuanced for proper gameplay or a lot of them are just copies of another in one way or another? or something along those lines, my head already hurts trying to think of this and putting those thoughts to words.
Man, this just make me Imagine what terraforming planets in the future would look like. Mars and Venus. Imagine man made endless field of plains. Man-made desert, forest, mountains. Would a beautiful sight to witness.
There is a game "similar" to this called Anno 2070 where you have islands to manage that have an ecobalance score. You balance building cities and the ecosystem.
I was already intrigued by this game after seeing the older videos about it...but now it is just so beautiful to look at... Also have to agree with you, thunderstorms are definitely the best.
Hmmmm... Not sure, I thought that the Pixel Art was good enough... EDIT::: After watching, I agree with Wander's statement at the end. The transition has made it more enjoyable to watch...
If you want another "reclaiming the Enviroment" style game that is kinda similar to a farming game such as Stardew Valley take a look at the game "No Place Like Home" its extremely fun to me and I am typically the one sticking to the mines to make money in Stardew Valley yet love No Place Like Home even with its minimal combat
I was so amazed by the new graphics of Terra Nil that I wasn´t able to listen to you for a few minutes, because I played the pixel demo and watch you play it and such. Now this game looks so much better. I liked the pixel art style, but that ... that is beautiful. Edit: Imagine the work which ahd to be done to turn the old Terra Nil into this beauty. Like holy I am still so so impressed and amazed.
I love how this game looks right now and will probably get it, if the graphics were the pixel art from before I never would have cause I put the minimum graphics at pokemon blue graphics and that wasn't even that good before
Those wind generators might be a staple of green energy, but they’re really inefficient. You want to add a wind generator to a game that isn’t inefficient, you go with the one where the blades stand vertical and rotate while staying vertical.
VAWTs are actually significantly LESS efficient than HAWTs. They may be easier to maintain, but they aren't efficient. Their main benefits are ease of maintenance due to the Gearbox being at ground level and not needing any wind detection due to being Omni-directional. Thus, they can often be left in more remote locations as they don't require as much work. HAWTs, the traditional "against the wind" 3 bladed type, are much more reliable and significantly more efficient, but are much harder to maintain due to the Gearbox being hundreds of feet in the air.
@@yanindexmessenger it depends on the use case the massive HAWTs are more useful at pumping out a lot of power but they struggle with inconsistent winds, they're used for power grids because they generate a lot of power while they are in constant wind the VAWTs are more used for urban installations or places that have constantly changing wind directions, allowing them to give you more constant power but at a lower amount
@@theirishviking9278 Of course, as with most power sources, things are definitely situational. You wouldn't use a Hydroelectric plant in the most barren part of a desert.
id kinda like it if different levels had different tech accessible, all the basic tech would be the same but maybe for example our starting area is considered a "turbulent zone" the area is too naturally windy to safely use the flying drone which us why we have boat drone instead maybe in future levels you can choose the type of tech based on how well it suits the area
I haven't checked yet, but have you heard of Timberborn? It's still in demo right now, but it's like this, but with adorable little beavers walking around and building things.
Nice lil game, just wish I'd figured out you can just chain the recyclers until you get it close enough to the water before I made 57 billion lil river things for my boat to run around :p
I just hope they have a wide variety of biomes. I like my deserts and plains but sometimes it feels like people consider them wastelands when they absolutely aren’t.
I live in an area that is both a desert and plains, so I know that they really aren't wastelands.

They do have deserts as a biome, and all of the different biomes I've encountered so far have a different method of creation
I think the temperature mechanic that's currently unused in the demo implies that in the full game we might be shifting stuff to other biomes.

Ohh wow, the old game looked awesome but I love the new textures!
Ooooooooh, import from factorio would be the ultimate mod/mood

I bet the air drone was under the weather tab after restoring the weather system, considering it was locked behind that before.

The pixel art looked really good for me
The music is absolutely gorgeous as well, it really is a beautiful game.

Machines: *Clean the soil and pour water everywhere*
Plants out of nowhere: Allow us to introduce ourselves
Date seeds can grow after 2000 years of lying around. I suspect there are more plants like that.
@@alexnoman1498 That plant truly put all of its exp in "seed longevity" because wow.
I absolutely love the water

I just added this to my wishlist because I loved the old demo, nice to see you saw this game pop up on steam as well
wasn't expecting this to get an artstyle update, looks neat!

It would be cool if you had to clean up the factories that caused the pollution in the first place
Why isn't that apart of factorio? That sounds like a no brian idea for them
Not everybody likes to use their brians you know :p
@@BedBug1984 apparently
they are diffrent genre this is laid back nature and factorio is min max megafactory

The number above the greenhouse is the net profit, not the gain. the build cost is already subtracted.

be cool if a version of this game of reliving a dead planet of a lost civilization or fossils back to life
Supportive comment for promoting a game with a sustainability focus.
even in this version do i read toxin scrubber as town scrubber
