At least the birds can't see your fish. The minute we treated our pond, we lost the fish

The mosquito fish are very small and constantly reproducing so the birds probably wouldn't have a noticeable effect, but that's why we don't have larger fish such as gold fish or koi, or a pet turtle in this pond. The wildlife would surely eat those!
