    This was very helpful for me, as I have to help a friend setting his up, and I think his WI-FI is getting in the way of a good signal. Thanks a million!! :-)

    I have two Smart TVs in the same room one is older than the other a Samsung and a just bought a Fire TV and I'm trying to see if I can run the signal from the fire TV to the other Smart TV the 50in Samsung is a smart TV as well but it's an older one it's not very old so I've been trying to do this and I was very unsuccessful when I bought the 50 Samsung so I did the Roku and was able to run the two TVs as well as my antenna TV and my Blu-ray at the same time but the smart TV never got connected to the other TV which was a 32in spectrum TV not a smart TV that work fine with the Roku and the Blu-ray all connected to the splitter HDMI now that TV is in my room 32 in now I'm trying to figure out if I could connect my Fire TV to the Samsunge Smart TV I hope this makes sense I have tried several ways to connected unsuccessful this looks like something I could probably use just not sure I have a HDMI Switcher and also I have a HDMI splitter that splits the two TVs

    i set it up in my motorhome with the receiving tv only 6 ft from the Directv receiver. I continually get the "stand by: waiting for connection" screen. Any suggestions as to why it is not functioning correctly?

    • @BudgetNerd
      @BudgetNerd  5 років тому

      Does it ever work in your motorhome? You could always set it up in your house at that distance and see if it works there. If so, then there might be a lot of interference in your motorhome.
      You could try a different spot in the motorhome, adjust the angle of the antenna, power cycle them, make sure you have the receiver unit on the tv and the transmitter one of the DirecTV box, and not backwards..

    So Nerd, I am considering something like this for use in a church. I need to upgrade from a projector that was originally purchased 12 years ago, and am thinking about replacing it with two 70" tvs. I have a sound booth at the back of the room roughly 65 feet from the front of the room, so running HDMI cable is certainly going to loose signal. There should be little interference because both the sending and receiving units could be mounted above 7 feet in the air and would be clear line of sight. Out of curiosity, do you think that a unit like IOGEAR's would work for this purpose? Thanks, Rich

      They calim it will reach a distance of 120ft. So it might work.

      TVwaves do work better for TVs. I only recently learned my cell phone works on phone waves.

    I have two of these in two adjoining offices (one in each office). They continuously lose connection
    and the distance between Tx and Rx is approximately 16 ft. The source is a laptop mounted on a dock station with Display Port output, then I connected an adapter to HDMI and then to the Tx. The target equipment is a 65 in TV with a hdmi port connected directly to the Rx. Event they lose connection when the user is working on the Rx screen (I need to mention that they used it as a extended desktop). After aaaall this intro, do you have an idea of what could be causing the signal lose?

    • @BudgetNerd
      @BudgetNerd  5 років тому

      If it's got thick walls, lots of walls, or anything that could cause interference, that could do it. Is there a router nearby, or other wireless equipment? Can you move them closer, or change locations a bit to see if that helps?
      If none of that helps, or makes no difference, you could move them right next to each other. If they work fine, then something is interfering. If they still won't work right next to each other, they may be faulty. Then I would call the company for troubleshooting and/or warranty.

    Do you think I can transfer to 3 TVs from my laptop?

    • @BudgetNerd
      @BudgetNerd  5 років тому

      It probably only has the bandwidth to transfer to one tv at a time.. even if you managed to hook them all up.

    Do you think this would work for the SuperBowl? I would like to stream the signal from one tv to another tv so my guess can see the game in two rooms possible 3

    • @BudgetNerd
      @BudgetNerd  5 років тому

      This particular unit doesn't duplicate the signal, just transfers it wirelessly. You'd want a HDMI splitter.. but then this device would help you get one of those split signals to another room..
