Dam frank passed away wow. I met him being a co at flws 1st trip to lake Cumberland. He was in 1st place after day 1 and I got to have a beer with him because he was staying in the room next door to us. Frank seemed like a good genuine fisherman forsure. He hooked me up with a couple of those awesome swimbait Jigheads that you guys use with the thin wire on them.
Also wondering when we can expect the spinnerbait?
I like slow pulling my texas rigs across the bottom like that jig, I can feel the bite better to.

Why would you not want to use a stop and go retrieve with a football jig Randy ?
randy in 1986 Jimmy h. told us at a meet and greet that poping a jig has nothing to do with jig looks are bass seeing it jump he said and I come to believe him over the years it does this to drive bass crazy when u pop it on bottom... the sound it makes when hitting a Rock are wood at high speed it way different than just moving it across bottom..
I get most bites when I reel in slow then pop it once many twice over that cast...

Great video as always! Thank you for your work to get this information out. In the spirit of feedback, I’ve bought several of your branded jigs from baitwrx and they look great! However, after 2-4 casts the coloring/paint on the jig head is mostly chipped off and showing the bare lead head. Any ideas on how to prevent this? And perhaps I’m overthinking it. :)

Randy prolly has covered this, but I'm wondering if he ever uses jigheads with a 90 degree eye? I noticed that all the jigheads he uses for demonstration seem to have a 60 degree eye.

What are the differences in football head jigs vs swinghead jigs? Do they fish essentially the same?
Randy, I’ve never caught a fish on a football jig. I fish a gravel pit mainly with clarity at a minimum of 4 feet most of the time . I can catch fish on a variety of bottom lures but a football head never catches. Any advice? I’d like to get more confidence with the lure for when I fish tournaments with my friends.
Ditch the silicone skirt and thread a 4" yamamoto hula grub on there and problem solved. Dont tell anyone else though
@@williambryson2117 I like that idea.. My late uncle swore by hula grubs above all other lures.. Seems like a good matchup with spinning tackle
