There is an island with an old mineshaft on it on the Fraser river close to the Rudy Johnson bridge near William's Lake.......I've panned gold there before and there is quite a few bands of black sand around that area
That highbanker and flare is a nice build! Some ideas: You could also try putting a *gold pan* below your main sluice exit, and then have the catch pan spill off into your very last scavenger sluice. Between the pan and the scavenger you would get a very good idea of losses and maybe even capture enough values to be worth it (although hopefully not). Regardless, I enjoy your videos, thanks for sharing your adventures : )
You should always put the UA-cam weblink to Part 2 in the description below the video and in the comment section. ~Ha, ha, very sorry, I just looked at your homepage and you do not have Part 2 out yet.
I sure did check there and still no gold, wrong type of rock, more of a shale. Be worth another day to pan that claim to see if there’s anything, unfortunately it’s staked by someone else now so it’s their problem
You want the float gold (flour)on sand bars. Prospecting them to find the streaks of pay . Shovel wide trenches 2-3inches deep perpendicular to the flow of the river . . If you find a bit of a streak go up or down stream for a few yards do the same thing to pin point the streak . do not move your gear till you pin point a streak to dig. Flour gold does not like fast deep water in your sluice box . On the NSR you don't set up unless you have a 150 colors or more to the pan . My sluice has a wool blanket in it to catch the flour gold 95% efficient ua-cam.com/video/mcl49rxf2qY/v-deo.html
8 degrees on the gold hog mats and 6 degrees on the expanded metal, almost zero specs of gold in the bottom section of miners moss , I’d say around 95% capture rate

Some good ideas thanks, I’ve tried a pan before at the end of the sluice but found it most always flushed clean with amount of water rushing into it.
Sorry for the disappointing results. Thank you for the honest results.
Regardless of the results still a good time getting out

Just found your channel!! New sun!! Woo woo!

I’d check where all those big rocks are where it flooded.

Sorry for the results. I'm always looking for areas that the old timers missed, unless you want yearly flour gold
Regardless of the result it’s always nice to get out, little bit of gold is just a bonus
Thanks for sharing
