      @@chefscorner7063 All objects fall at the same speed regardless of mass, unless of course you drop a sheet of paper with a really high air resistance.... in this case however, with that weight and shape air resistance is negligible, you can go ahead and calculate everything ignoring friction, the difference will be a few milliseconds between dropping that rock and a wrench... just my 2 cents
      Edit: If you plan on throwing that rock into space and try to hit an asteroid with it you may want to add mass and friction though

Disregarding the time it took for the sound to get back to the top after the rock hit the bottom (speed of sound ~700mph so no point) so to calculate the distance fallen during free fall, use the formula: distance = 0.5 * acceleration due to gravity * (time)^2 with real values 0.5 * 9.8 m/s² * (8.45 s)² = 351.6 meters or about 1,150 feet. 1:50 The rock took approximately 9 seconds to hit the ground.
    Applying the formula s = ut+1/2at^2, since the initial velocity can be assumed to be 0, we just have to consider the acceleration.
    We will assume g to be 9.81, as we are unsure of the depth of the cave and its effect on this constant.
    Edit: I forgor the speed of sound and time needed to hear it.
    We assume the speed of sound is also 343 ms^-1, and thus the distance divided by the speed of sound is the time for sound to return (t_sound)
    The actual time for the drop is t_actual, and the time we observe (9s) is t_observe
    t_observe = t_actual + t_sound
    t_sound = 1/2g(t_actual)^2/343
    9 = t_actual + 1/2g(t_actual)^2/343
    Thus we get that t_actual is around 8.06 seconds
    Then the depth is 1/2g(t_actual)^2 which is around 319 m, or 320ish.
    Thanks for pointing it out

    • @Elit0000
      @Elit0000 Рік тому +88

      I think here we would need to also factor the speed of sound in air in order to get a more accurate depth for the cave. From the dropping of the stone (at initial velocity = 0 and constant acceleration of 9,81 m/s^2), it takes approx. 9 seconds for the sound to be heard.
      But as you said, an impressively deep cave nonetheless.

He quickly flips them to make them look like they came from nowhere, and then he drops a couple cards from the stack to make it look like each time he dropped some was a whole stack, but in reality he kept dropping PARTS of one stack (more specifically, the couple of first cards on the stack) and he flips the rest back into his pinkie and ring finger to make it appear as if they’re all gone. Then he pulls them out again and only drops a PART of them and puts them back between his fingers.

There is a video online of a pickpocket woman which clearly states that she steals, has stolen and will continue to steal, but still nothing has been done to her. The problem is that the law is slow to act and they often go easy on some people, especially if they are pregnant women or with children. With this I don't want to scare you, pickpockets even if they are a problem are not as common as you might think and with a little attention these accidents can be avoided, moreover, if they tried to hurt someone they would be in serious trouble. Hi Daily Dose, here's the explanation you looking for: The card trick is a sleight of hand trick, he shows a portion of the deck, you see the cards, he throws that portion of the cards to the table, after that he still holds the leftover portion between his ring and middle finger, hidden behind his palm. He takes out some cards with some really nice hand movement, and repeats the process until he runs out of cards. This is why the number of the cards gets less (and never repeat) in the end also. You can see this in 0.25 speed. What is impressive beyond the illusion tho, is how fast and smooth he does this in normal speed, truly impressive. Sorry, and captain flies away

      and to make the trick much more impressive, the cards he use are much thinner compared to the ones you are familiar with. so the cards can easily be folded behind the hand and easier to grab onto them with the edges of the cards.

    So for anyone wondering, that rock took about 8 seconds to fall and make impact. Thus, estimating the distance of the fall to around 1,000 ft. However, since the speed of sound needs to be factored into this, that actually puts it more around 800 ft. Still a long way down.

      @@hiibrain You meant 300M in freedom unit. Ft and miles are thing from the past. Only country with outdated law still use this old system
