Bring back the Volvo build. This is one of the more helpful informational channels for the volvo r series I just got my S60R and haven’t been able to find many videos on them for in depth builds
I went with the BCs. Out of the box, they were already reasonably set up for the car. It was a very easy install. I cut up my old 4C shocks to put the solenoids back in the circuit, but have't plugged them back in yet. Have been thinking of making a dummy load circuit for each that mimics the inductance of the original coils so I won't have a big piece of garbage hanging there at every corner of the car just to solve a warning light. The pre-2005 guys can get away with a resistor, but nobody else can. If I figure this out, I'll post my results and maybe see if anyone is interested in a ready-made version.
@@TheCheasequah3 sadly, I never did figure it out, and I gave it a damn good shot trying to characterize the inductance. I sold the VR last fall and had solenoids plugged in to make the computer happy :/ I miss that car deeply, but I had my fun.
@@julianporter5 I guess I didn’t know I could! I miss my VR deeply, but if I ever buy another one it will be a factory 6MT… I’ve manual swapped cars before, but I feel like the V70R would have been more than I wanted to take on.
I have the BCRacing coilovers with 7kg front swift springs and love it! wouldn't have it any other way. (no CEL or error messages) Before that I enjoyed my 4Cs with Eibach springs.
Hello. Please help me with a piece of advice: I have a 2014 S80 T6 AWD with 4C. I would like to change the springs with those for Volvo Sport Chassis ( lowered 2 cm front, 1,5 cm rear). Do you see some problems with such replacement? The 4C will still work? There are any risk? Is just for cosmetics reasons. The gap is awful. Any I have a 2013 S80 with Volvo Sport Chassis that looks and works wonderfully for me. Thank you very much
is the struts and shocks measurement on 2007 XC70 WITH FOUR-C is the same as with same year but with out four-c ? I'm trying to switch my four c shocks to regular. any help please.
hey this is unrelated to the video but you seem to have a lot of knowledge about these platforms and i was wondering if you would be able to help me out. I have a 04 s60R and it will go into some sort of limp mode where it will only go to wastegate pressure, ive changed the boost solenoid and it still does it . also ive noticed it seems to only do it when its warmer out? Any info would be great. thanks
replace vacuum lines, i actually found a leak at my gauge once! it's always good to get a hand vac pump to verify that the lines going the WG have no leak. Any codes? Do you have VIDA?
It is so easy to understand when you explain it. THANKS A LOT !! :)

Ever end up making that load circuit?

@@joekirklinany reason you didn’t turn off 4C with Vdash?

Love to see how much the car has come since we met in January for the wheels and trans swap!
Great stuff, when are you available for me to bring my v70r down to help with a manual swap?
I'm planning on TME. I hear they provided the least amount of drop and best ride, compared to IPD, Elevate, and Eibach.
Very nice informative videos.
These videos are fantastic! Thank you so much
if I want to change the gearbox in the v70r from automatic to manual, do I have to take it from the v70r / s60r or can I take it from the t5?
Hi there, been watching all your V70R videos. Do you still have this car?
I sold it to a subscriber 2 years ago then it sold on BAT a few months-ish ago

Replace the vacuum lines on it and see what that does for you.
