      It's always interesting to see your older comments like this from back when you weren't one of UA-cam's most prominent rising stars. Seriously, other big UA-camrs that I watch have begun referencing you. Ymfah, who does excellently edited videos/guides on Elder Scrolls and Souls games, just did a little parody. Anyway, you probably don't have reply notifications enabled these days, but I just wanna say "hey", and "I like what you do."
      On the off-chance that you _do_ happen to see this, The Not So Civil Engineer mentioned that he put this DAMES set on his keytool for EDC. You just came out with the padlock bypass driver, but I was wondering if you had any plans to add an Adams Rite bypass driver to the Covert Companion? I'm ordering my padlock bypass ssf tool today, and I'd order the AR tool as well post haste if you ever released one!
      Have a great weekend

    Yet again a very knowledgable video . I can't get enough of them whenever I can find the time . Just got into lock picking out of shear boredom and I love it . Never thought about doing things illegally ( just wasn't the way I was raised) plus pretty much a small time farm boy upbringing . But thank you again for such great wisdom and I love how thorough you are in every video . Don't care if I win wouldn't really want those pics but just would love you reading this in a vid or personally . But again thank you for your wisdom and showing me how to do this FUN stuff 😃

    Bypasses are so much fun to look at. How can you determine if your american padlock has the newer security wafers inside? Can you get a date chart somewhere?

    • @kenabi
      @kenabi 8 років тому

      +kekejojo1212 using a flashlight, you can sometimes see the edge of the silver discs at the back of the keyway. new master core based americans don't really have this problem. there was only a few years or so they put the shims in before master bought them out. sadly, there's no hard data i've been able to locate that gives the year range.

    I would like to see video about where you can find materials for these cheaply, that i could make those overpriced tools my self

    • @brandonfesser1893
      @brandonfesser1893 8 років тому +2

      +Kangsteri I wouldn't say they're overpriced. Peterson only makes quality picks and tools out of appropriate materials. Also, they need to discourage crooks and criminals from buying this stuff...

    • @Kangsteri
      @Kangsteri 8 років тому +2

      +Brandon Fesser I would say most of the known brands in every industry is overpriced. There should be a limit what you can rip of from stupid people legally... And most of the crooks that i know have money like shit. Its the honest people that dont have the money.

    • @markleng67
      @markleng67 8 років тому +3

      +Kangsteri All of these tools can be made from windshield inserts and music wire that you can buy from Lowes. The material is perfect for the chosen purpose. I made my first kit from wiper inserts and became so interested that I went ahead and bought a set of Southord's picks. All downhill from there financially speaking wise...

    • @Kangsteri
      @Kangsteri 8 років тому

      +Mark England Those are very good for making tension tools. I have used differend sized Hacksaw blades to make picks. But they are spring steel and need to be heat treated after shaping, or to bend them. Other good materials for old wider car picks are Feeler gauges / calipers that are usually stainless steel. Im still looking something for mainly shimming tools. Best that i can think for those are differend size tape measures. But the sad thing is that i live in Abloy land, so these common kits will not ever going to get me very far :D Often the best tool here is simple screwdrivers and good imagination, or just brutal force...

    • @FusionDeveloper
      @FusionDeveloper 8 років тому

      +Brandon Fesser A smart criminal (well I think all criminals are bad) wouldn't buy locksmithing tools and have them delivered to his/her house, especially not using paypal through their bank account and leave a trail that can be investigated if you are a suspect. A crowbar for doors and windows and a pair of bolt cutters require no skill and are sold locally to everyone. These tools only work on specific locks. If all locks could be bypassed, it would be different, but the truth is, most locks CAN'T be bypassed without being destructive. Lockpicking is a service intended to care about the lock, I don't think criminals are concerned that they are going to do damage to the person's belongings that they are stealing from, if they do, they shouldn't be doing crimes. I guess the exception would be like in a James Bond movie where they are breaking into some high security thing and don't want to set off alarms or leave behind evidence that guards making their rounds would detect and create a lockdown to catch him. Imagine a locksmith service where their solution to get into a lock is ALWAYS to be as quick as possible, using whatever destructive means it takes, like breaking down your front door or window and breaking your car window, seems like people wouldn't call a locksmith if that's all they did.
