That turned out great, Andrew. Things I like: 1. Your bravery in doing the ball and chain. 2. The paint job turned out really good! 3. I think your weathering is spot on. Looks nice and dusty and not overdone. Things I don't like: 1. Nothing! The whole thing is awesome.
Great build of the Academy Merkava IV. I've built the Meng kit and it had its challenges - the fully workable tracks were a nightmare and it came with a toy-like workable suspension. But otherwise it's one of my fav kits I've built. The chain armour is done quite well in the Meng kit. The only thing you didn't add were the firing cables for the front 50cal and the 8(!) antennas. Stumbled across your channel and subbed. Brilliant tip on sealing the black preshade - I've also ruined paint jobs when the clear coat makes the black bleed through. Greetings from a fellow Oz modeller. Cheers.
Hi Andy firstly cracking build, wish I built this kit instead of the meng one. I've come under so many problems with the meng kit which is very strange for meng. I had the ball and chain armour but thought, no chance at the minute my patience I can't take it. So I stayed with the kit stuff but I knocked so many off so on heinsite next time I'll leave it off until end. A lot of the merkava don't chip the mkivs as they have a special paint so your bang on with the chipping. Can you post this on the site matey. Really really fantastic job brother. Thank you so much for entering and contributing to the GB. I'm hoping do a couple of builds but don't know yet. Hope you and the family are well. Stay safe my friend
Thanks for the kind comments buddy. I have heard some mixed things about the meng one as well. Not like them. I didn't know that about the paint lol! Makes sense! 🤣 I am sorry I forgot to mention the group in the video but I have put a link in the description. Posted in the group 👍. Everyone is well here thanks mate. Hope you are good as well.
Great work, well done! The song starting at 12:12 is more than similar to Toto's Dune theme, which in turn goes hand in hand with your Merkava the Desert Warrior.
Nice job mate looks good I keep saying that I will build one these vehicles as I think they look fantastic not sure which I kit I will build yet though
Very good weathering. Excelent technique. Congratulations

Can't complain about the academy kit. Worth every penny
Nice looking build, thanks for sharing... One question, do the Academy kits feature the anti-skid paste? thanks
The Academy 1/35 Merkava iv LIC does. I know they had another version that didn't, it was released before this one.
@@andrewsartscalemodels Just wanted to make sure.. Thanks
Is that mass effect music?
Nipe. All music is from the youtube free library so I don't get copyright issues.
Sryyy and Anti slip ?
More modern tanks have a rough surface on the top sides, often referred to as anti-slip
