I have one. It has a heavy action. Its niche is acoustic piano emulation. If this is what you want, then the FP-30X is for you. If you want something else, maybe it isn't. It is the lowest-priced instrument which will give you acoustic piano emulation and you will not get better until you get to a much higher price point. Digital keyboards are what they are. You have to go for the primary features you desire and accept the secondary features (connectivity and whatever) that come with it. The closest competitor to the Roland FP-30X is the Yamaha P-125. They are not identical instruments in their purposes.
