Beautiful . . . I like the curtains under the sink, back in the day, about 70 years ago my mom had those on a farm sink counter . . . and the tiles are so gorgeous!1! Everything is perfect as is the sunset!!!
I have three small fig trees. They will appear to die out when rain is low, but as soon as they get some water again, BOOM, they start right back up. But it does mess with the fruit. The trees themselves though, are hardy AF. I got 12 little figs early in our summer before it got dry. Lovely with oatmeal, all two bowls! 😄 Lovely job in the kitchen, both of you!
Oo I bet you enjoyed every one of them! We had loads of figs last year, we froze trays and trays of them so that's what we were sort of expecting this year. Glad you like the kitchen so far!
I believe fig trees that have not received attention for a while, need to be pruned and cleared around the base. This has to be done properly and at the right time of the year. Find out from the locals as they would probably know what to do. Best wishes from rainy England
Such nice music at the end (along with the usual, beautiful landscape and drone shots). Your video editing skills have improved a lot in a short amount of time!
To be fair to them, Nothing in an old house, Spanish or otherwise meets Lego build measurements. He was right to stop where he did. We put a ceiling in using that lockable flooring stuff, because it was simple and we had to measure Every single plank to within a millimetre. Because the walls are in and out and all over the place, Add in warped beams, and if you tried to take one measurement and cut them all to that you would have had an unholy mess and an expensive waste of materials.
This "cottage" seems to move around an awful lot. First you were in Murcia, then it was Castilla La Mancha, now it is back in Murcia. Castilla La Mancha and Murcia are hundreds of miles apart. A long way to go for a few tiles. Are you sure you bought a "cottage" and not a Tardis? Sorry, but I know how long you would get on our "How long will they last" betting chart. I do hope you prove me wrong.
@hogwashmcturnip8930 Hi, I don't think I said the cottage is in Murcia. We went to Murcia to buy the tiles which was a bit of a long trip, but it was either go to the Leroy Merlin there or Albacete, and we thought the store would be bigger in Murcia. The two provinces share a border, but thanks for your comment 👍
The kitchen looks lovely with the tiles and curtains, very pretty, great job! 👏
The colors in the sky are breathtaking, thanks for sharing! 🙌

Great advice thank you, we have asked our neighbours about the olive tree, but hadn't thought to ask them yet about the fig tree👍
The kitchen looks really good, and such a romantic sunset🌄🌄🌄
@@TedCarolCollins glad you liked them both! 😊

@AdamWilliams-my1qf thank you 😊
@ you’re welcome we currently live in Torrevieja but the dream is to move out into the campo have a few rescue dogs and cats and renovate a property.
@AdamWilliams-my1qf yes we want to get our own dogs but that will have to wait till we can live here permanently 😊
Well done both of you, looking great. You will see the temperature cooling down now.
Looking forward to that!! 😊
Really nice transformation and stunning sunset 😍
Thanks for your encouragement, yes we love walking around the cottage in the evening. There are some spectacular sunsets!
❤
Lovely tiles and curtains! What renovations are coming next?
The next thing we are working on is building a partition, after that it's more work on the kitchen!

Glad you enjoyed it, and thank you, I am trying hard to improve! 😁😁

Hello there love your little home in Spain. Who films you when you go walking 😊
We use a drone, which Rob flies, (I am trying to learn how to do it!!😃
@CasaBlueHills ok thats great. Such beautiful valleys
Did you learn to speak Spanish for the move Jo?
I actually trained as a Spanish and French teacher, though I have only taught French for the past 10 years so my Spanish is really pretty rusty! 😊
Love the drone shots and the background music is fab!
@DerekHNorthants oo glad you enjoyed them! 😊
Looks nice but I feel you could have gone up to the ceiling level .
That is a lovely idea, but Rob felt it would have been too fiddly for him to have cut the tiles to go around the roof beams!!
