By not winning she isn't held to strict contract rules for American Idol. She has since gone on to sign with Warner Brothers Nashville which is most likely better for her.
@@danwyma4509 You may be right. But no one enters a contest hoping they lose. If for no other reason to have bragging rights "I'm the winner of American Idol" sounds a lot better than "I got 3rd". Winning didn't seem to hurt Carrie Underwoods career. Ask Carrie if she wished she had lost.
While that whole entering hoping to win 1st is true, but just because you win 1st doesn’t mean you end up being better... I love Maddie and her music but gabby is definitely and Maddie doesn’t do that many shows compared to gabby.. the winner of the last season of American X factor got dropped from the record label and his cd flopped and the 3rd (maybe 5th?) was fifth harmony who did amazing so #1 doesn’t always secure you a good run

I love this unplugged version of Gabby's big hit. It much-better shows the beautiful textures and colors of her voice. I hope this gets a lot of air play as well since it really shows off Gabby's voice! Her voice, from 3:12 to about 3:30 is raging, wild FIRE. WOW!!!!
I like both versions. The other version was the first time I've ever heard of her and I was like WOAH, who IS this? I searched for her and only found this song. Her voice is so incredible.

I was thinking the same exact thing! Shows off so many nuances in her voice! She has got serious raw talent! No need for autotune! lol You know how some people sound pitchy and out of tune unless overproduced in a studio? That’s NOT Gabby! She can sing flawlessly on her own with no assistance! Just as great live, even better! Same with Carrie Underwood. Unbelievably talented!

I can't believe someone as young as her wrote a song with this much depth of emotion and pain. She's like an American version of Adele in a lot of ways. I generally don't much like country pop but I really like her output and her talent just blows me away.

Wow! I love acoustic sessions like this as they showcase an artist’s true raw talent. No autotune, no over producing, etc. Gabby exemplifies this as she sounds amazing regardless if studio, a huge crowd or sitting on a stool belting it out!
