also anyone who thinks this song is glorifying dahmer or simping for dahmer lacks media literacy lmao. the message of the song is that she loves people in a dysfunctional way, just like dahmer did. in dahmer's case it was extreme enough that it led him to murder and cannibalism. in nicole's case, clearly it wasn't as extreme since she is not a criminal lol. but it's called poetic liberty.

@@nug9g oh certainly, like it’s definitely an abrasive choice of metaphor and i think it’s controversial to say the least. i personally think it wasn’t in good taste for her to use an actual serial killer for her metaphor, like she could have used a well-known fictional one and the song would have worked as well. she uses jeffrey dahmer as a poetic device and fictional character despite the fact he was a real person who did unspeakable things to a vulnerable community of people. so while i personally don’t feel offended by the song, i understand and respect your right to be. EDIT; and i also don’t think that her sympathizing with or relating to some level of jeffrey dahmer’s experience, is portrayed as a positive thing in the song. the tone is “i am a fundamentally broken person for relating to a serial killer on any level.”

The only thing I hope is that the victims is in a better place, with no suffering and that their families will live happily despite everything.
