Totally agree! It is taking every thought captive. Because it starts with a thought and we have the ability to change the thought which will change the behavior.

I haven’t watch this yet, but Jesse Lee Peterson was the one that inspired me to get quiet before God and it’s really made a huge difference.
However, I highly highly recommend checking out Dan Mohler! He gives the best answer to anxiety. No shame at all in struggling with it but you can be free!
    Always love stuff by JP

Where can we find/get your book, Finding Quiet, This was helpful. What would you say is the spiritual reason someone gets repeated chest/respiratory issues? Fear...anger? Something else?

The book is “Finding Quiet”, My story of overcoming Anxiety and Practices that .... same title as the screen-titled in this video. It’s good to read it.

We still have no way of measuring the quantity of brain neurotransmitters in a brain. And the most successful way to overcome these types of issues is through Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. This is how I overcame anxiety AND depression. JP Moreland is an AWESOME mind in the Christian world. But he got his anxiety the way all of us sufferers do: anxious environment as babies and children + acute period of stress. Unfortunately, the one thing JP got wrong with his brilliant mind is the etymology of anxiety and depression. Fully psychologically driven. Fully psychologically cured.

I obsessively would like to be encapsulated into the System again. But when you wake up, you can only desperately ask Agents, as Cypher once did, to put you again into the Matrix. Neither Christian Analitical Philosophy, nor (the more) Christian milieu don't help. On the contrary...

my friend anxiety is NOT genetic, its NOT something passed on, it is nurture NOT nature

Matthew 1 there is NIL evidence that anxiety is nature its nurture and circumstance

nature and nurture interact with each other. Anxiety has a genetic component, by way of different levels of physiological reactivity. Some people are born with a more reactive nervous system and are at risk for anxiety.

@@aerialkick What you are saying can only be true if you think that the Mind is not "part" of the physical nexus that cause such genetic or physical anxiety or depressing results. But if you think the Mind is "part" of the physical or genetic and chemical components of the human body then what you are saying is false or meaningless. But it gets complicated (and paradoxically simple) the deeper we analyze it.
But then again, some think that even genetics or chemistry itself is just a "conscious/nonphysical or intelligent" process or reality, as well (just like the Mind or Awareness), and is not really "physical or material". But that is another rabbit hole I'm not getting into right now.

I would only add one thing to professor moreland’s wise words: I’d consider going on a very long diet: no Christian belief for a lifetime or two.
