  • Marble Mountain - a group of five marble and limestone rock formations named for the five traditional elements (water, metal, wood, fire & earth), located southeast of Da Nang near the central Vietnamese coast of the South China Sea. Once a key source of marble, the area is now home to several Buddhist sanctuaries. During the Vietnam War, the Vietcong fighters had a military hospital at this site even though there was a strong US military presence in Da Nang. The opening drone footage is from above Marble Mountain.
    Lady Buddha overlooks the bay of Da Nang from the Son Tra peninsula on Monkey Mountain. The statue, which is the tallest Buddha statue in Vietnam, is part of the Ling Ung Pagoda complex. The video includes drone footage near the Lady Buddha Statue and the Ling Ung Pagoda.
    A well preserved historic trading port, Hoi An is a UNESCO World Heritage for its lock on Vietnamese history dating back to the 1500’s. A traditional basket boat ride is available to tourist near Hoi An.
    Ba Na Hills is a tourist destination west of Da Nang in the Troung Son Mountains. The resort was opened in 2013 giving visitors access the resort features by traveling over three miles on the longest cable car ride in the world. Ba Na Hills is now best known for the Golden Bridge, which is a walkway supported by giant human hands.
    My Son is an ancient Hindu temple site constructed between the 4th and 14th centuries by the Champa kingdom royal family. The temples were built in reverence to Shiva. The UNESCO World Heritage is 45 miles southwest of Da Nang. The drone footage was taken near the My Son ruins.
    The final footage is from sites near Hue, which is another Vietnam historic area located about an hour north of Da Nang.
