@@TheMetalist DUDE this thing is awesome we still using disc saws here. Or notchers that do on only job, at no less than 240. Daaamn. A plasma cutter is around 150 bucks and your tool is genial you could even turn the tube yourself! And it cuts a lot of stuff I mean in the end its even less dangerous than the 350mm disc saw.

Very cool idea that could be adapted for many applications there hand holding a torch even with a guide isn't good enough. Going to have to search out the build of the rotary fixture. My issue with this is the time and effort put into the build isn't worth it in most applications. I could see this as being helpful for garage production runs depending on what the parts are being used for. I'm also not a fan of plasma cut notchers in general. They don't really save much time. You can't properly weld those joints without cleaning up ALL of the dross and plasma cut edges. The traditional drill powered notcher is slower to cut but there is very little cleanup. Plus the adjustability can't be beat by anything close to affordable. Awesome video. Awesome idea. Keep being creative because even though I don't see this as being very practical I absolutely got something out of it.

It’s cool, but how does it work on full length pipes like a roll cage?
I’ve been tossing around an idea like this but using CNC for the movements and rotation.
But can’t figure out a solution if it’s pre bent tube like a roll cage.

Just a thought this would not work for a roll cage most of the time the tube is bent all ready but
If you mount the spring arm torch on a tube and put it in the rotary chuck and the you could put a bent piece in a pipe vise and then slid the jig over the end and bring the chuck/spring torch to it.Just a thought.
