Russia is a society that has produced some of the most bold and intelligent people who have contributed so much to the grand human civilization. They are the pioneers of our existence who have valiently sought to discover how to to best reach that illusive society with much cost along the way. The world has learned much from the Russian spirit especially from it"s mistakes. Even though communism was one of the darkest experiments in terms of social governance, we can still appretiate Russia's efforts and especially Russia's resiliance. Saddened and concerned about the causes of death of these wonderful musicians and soldiers I kneel and pray for their souls, their families, Russia, the world. Saddest Christmas I ever had. I heard a recording of the Red Army singing this in the middle of the War and I was almost in tears. The thought of what the Russian people went through, and what Stalin was doing to them even then, and how their patriotism and spirit still came through in the performance of this anthem.... I was pretty overwhelmed. We Americans are mostly numb to the rest of the world, and I regret that.
He was able to turn the USSR into the no 2 industrialized nation in 8 years. He took Hitlers book Mein Kamph seriously. He may of been brutal but his red army inflected 80% of German losses. The US played a minor role in NAZI defeat.
