The problem is that the general public in Korea 1) was hoping for a ballad and 2) they don't really like edm. Luna knows that but she likes it a lot and she wanted it all to be in her own style, so she went against the general expectations to stay true to herself and to let Koreans get more accustomed to edm music. Her fans lover her for this and support her and her album. But yeah I believe her fanbase international is bigger than the national one

Luna's Free Somebody was the first Kpop album I bought, and it still is the only album that I could play in the car without it being too distracting. Not only is it consistent in sound and volume and beat, but it sounds even better with larger speakers
I stand by the belief that this is the best song SM has ever pooped out. I'm so disappointed in how little attention it got, but Luna's preparing a comeback and hopefully it will have this same style of sound. It really suits her. This whole MV is a fucking magic ride.

I hope SM will give another chance to Luna. Out of all the girl groups she's the most all around talent. And not only is she good at everything, she's GREAT at everything. Shani True but don't forget f(x) last album was edm influenced same with luna's but they did way better and all of their albums are not korean style but still did well. The thing is not only Korean perferance also company management and fandom support attribute as well but sadly Luna lacked support from the fandom so it's not surprising.

What are you on about? The house elements were big during 2015, 2013-2016/2017 was basically ruled by EDM songs with house elements. It's over now in fact.

@@mistsrider this is a future house song. A genre that utilises deep house fused with other EDM elements, which was big during the release. So I still dk what you're talking about. Electrohouse was big back then, we had the likes of Swedish House Mafia, Martin Garrix, Hardwell etc. Big room house is a subgenre of electro house. Progressive house was even more popular.

Luna's Free Somebody was the first Kpop album I bought, and it still is the only album that I could play in the car without it being too distracting. Not only is it consistent in sound and volume and beat, but it sounds even better with larger speakers
