For weapons right at the damage breakpoint tapping forward (w) right before and as you fire will counteract the damage drop off to make sure you deal the full 125 (Verdict) while within the maximum effective damage range
Pretty sure that's not how durable damage works. You don't do 20% more damage to the durable parts, you do 20% damage total. That means instead of doing 80 damage to a durable part, you do 16. It previously did 8.
It's a bit more complicated than that as well. There are durable parts that have different percentages of durability. Behemoth Charger butts are 100% durable, Nursing Spewer butts 90% and Brood Commander heads 60% as examples. This shows how much the durable damage of your weapon is used for the calculation. Example: Adjudicator does 80 damage, 16 durable damage and has ap 3. A Brood Commander head has 200 hps, 2 armor and 60% durability. >Adjudicator has more ap than the head has armor so we'll deal full damage. >Calculation: 16 × 0.6 + 80 × 0.4 = 41.6 Decimals are cut off, so it's 41 damage per shot. Now how many shots do we need? 200 ÷ 41 ≈ 4.878 So we need 5 shots. (At close range. There is damage fall off which I'm not getting into and I'm ignoring velocity here because it's negligible in almost all cases)

@@GameFuMasterto be fair, Assault Rifles don’t burn through ammunition as fast against bots compared to bugs, so they put it some nice work there, they still need ammo buffs though, with Liberator having at least 55-60 rounds per magazine, etc
I've been saying it, and I'm going to keep saying it. Assault Rifles should have a baseline of 60 rounds for lower damage variants, and a minimum of 45 rounds for higher damage variants. Maybe 30 if they have even stronger variants later on.
And if they try to pull the "realism" card on us, Quad-stack and Drum mags exist. Hell, when they nerfed the Breaker they actually changed it's magazine model to reflect it!
I mean, the Pulverizer is actually in a pretty good state RN. 2-3 bullets to kill for most chaff, and a mag dump with kill just about anything else that isn't heavy armored or has massive damage negation.
@@hrs.ai2018ammo CAN be managed in certain situations but in the higher difficulties where there are just far too many cannon fodder, it becomes hard NOT to spray and pray.
Adjudicator performs well for now.. But personally I like the ARs with atleast 40rounds and up call it a extended mag idc i just want the feeling of bursting out a laugh while shooting 🤣

Nah, the first Helldivers had AR-20L with 30 rounds in the mag and it was fine. The problem is that this crazy sh*t one-shotted nearly all medium enemies and *pierced through them, killing the ones behind* - ya know, LIKE A HIGH-CALIBER BEAST IT WAS; while ARs in HD2 are nowhere near and can't even one-shot bots infantry when not aiming at the head. The only rifle which really needs that drum mag is liberator carbine from the new warbond. Others need a baseline of 80 damage, while high-caliber rifles should have 100+ damage and 4 AP - like HMG. That'd deal both with weird TTK and low ammo count, because 30 rounds in the mag isn't a problem when it's equal to 30 dead enemies.
Reload time is problematic too. Even if you reload with cartridge in the chamber its slow and if you reload on empty chamber its painstakingly sluggish. Sickle is best assault rifle solely because its thicc mag and virtually endless ammo even if its crappy damage wise.
they need to give us weapon modification for penalties, extended mags in exchange for more recoil (it weighs more) more damage in exchange for less ammo... and so on and so forth
Thing is amazing against bugs! I don't need to think about aiming at the weak/soft spots since it penetrates everything from Brood Mothers to Hive Guards and Brood Commanders! Only thing that it can't get through is Charger and Bile Titan armor, but once that front armor is stripped off, it's fair game, sure that the damage isn't the highest compared to other primary choices like the Tenderizer that also got a buff, but that Medium Armor Penetrations is just too good, not to mention the increased magazine size buff
Yeap, I used it against bot trash, use it like a DMR and either 3rd or 1st person and it worked great, usually when I had the ammo backpack though with something like EATs or AMR.
they need to under stand that they need to balance guns around the scorcher,incbreaker,Counter sniper. Cus the rest are like you constantly reload and kill 1 medium enemy.
One of my main complaints of the new patch is how they've changed how the guns are strapped to your character. This is evident while walking around in your ship. Before shotguns were perfectly fine mounted on your side. Now, they sit so high that the buttock of the shotgun is practically sitting at face height. WTF!! This reason alone, I've stopped using the breaker incendiary and went to my Arc Blitzer, which sits perfect. Other guns, too, now sit too high like the Adjudicator. I wish the Devs would pay attention as to how these are set on the characters.
@WayaliciousTV yeah, I'm just nitpicking really. I wish someone with some better knowledge on how these guns should be holstered would adjust each primary weapon accordingly. It looks like there's some default point of contact mount they all shared, so when they shift the new mount position, it affects all. They need to make each one different. Oh well can't have everything.
Obviously it isn’t an AR or a DMR, it’s a BR (it’s in the name), they should just give it its own category cuz theres probably gonna be more sometime in the future.
I would love to be able to customize our guns again. Even if we could only choose like 2/5 available upgrades at once, the little bit of edge would be amazingly useful. I also understand that this is asking alot since it would require a new system and new models to be fundamentally made and designed from the ground up.
That medium pen does wonders blowing legs and arms off most medium enemies. I use it in semi auto to prevent over shot, and boost accuracy. Likewise, because it has double the capacity of the Counter Sniper. You can afford to miss a few shots, and you still have the versatility to switch to full auto in a pinch. That said, as an AR its recoil and spread are noticeable in full auto. And as a marksmans rifle, the DCS is a bit ahead if you can land your shots.
Tip for using it full auto - try to engage at longer ranges than you would with ARs, then crouch when firing. The extra distance will keep enemies from meleeing you while you're stationary, and crouching will give you the recoil reduction to shoot with some accuracy.
Yeah, Adju- become so fun to use. It can deal with everything below charger if hit on the head (like 5 shot on bile spewer head) and can be good against devastator (with reduce recoil armor, i guess). Love it 100/100.

Yeah this gun is better than the tenderizer when it comes to just breaking up anything in front of it. Still has rough recoil so it is recommended to burst fire at longer ranges.
I find the recoil a bit much on this gun, but that said it's miles ahead of the Liberator Penetrator. If I want something with medium pen to take down bug hordes I'll usually just drop with the MG-43.
Love those first 4 examples in the opening video. How often are Chargers, Tanks, and Hulks completely by themselves with literally no other enemies around? These scenarios will never happen organically. You will never have time to sit behind them and mag dump, reload, mag dump again, without being SWARMED by adds. Hey look how good this primary is! 🙄
Exactly this... dropped solo on a bot planet between 2 gunship factories, a mortar, stratagem disruptor, and the second i touched the ground, flares went up... and brought 4 hulks and 2 factory striders. Now that is a terrible landing, it doesn't happen oftee but it has more chances of happening than the scenario above.
This rifle does a huge amount damage. It does have nice amount of mags and has 30 rounds per mag. Medium armour rounds also means multi purpose weapon.
The weirdness of it having medium armor penetration while doing less damage than other rifles means you’ll be damaging stuff you couldn’t with some of the other ARs but requiring more shots to bring the target down.
It's has a faster kill on light armor than light pen ars. When you meet the armor value you get the white x (50%) damage. If you overpen, you get a red x (100%) So that entire 80 is applied to any bug other than hive guard armor and higher, and half of that 80 is applied to devistator armor as it's all medium armor on that front -.- I also know about falloff and such, those are just the base numbers to work with
Game deceive you with numbers, most ARs are on low end of light armor penetration which mean they deal half damage to targets where it matters most- brood commanders, nursing spewers etc.Tenderizer is on par with liberator penetrator against these targets
think the tenderizer would need a higher mag cap to compete with this gun, the shots to kill on chaff are basically the same except this can deal with the guards and commanders way more efficiently.
I want to love the adjudicator, its still lacking. The recoil still feels jacked, even when prone with reduction armor. I dont know if its a bug, if not then id like to see a burst mode with much higher durable part damage and some stagger... How can a gun that staggers the operator not stagger the target??? I would like to see this as a gun that isnt great for on the move, but if you take a knee or go prone, you can do some work.
Being stationary and taking crouching or prone stances, picking your shots, is how you use this weapon against bots. But you charge the enemy, actively fighting the recoil impulse, when using this gun with bugs. It's similar to how you use the Knight SMG against the two factions, in a way.
All the weapons would be good if there weren't 50 enemies charging you all at once. Even if you manage to beat them all, there will always been one that calls in a bug breach that makes you fight them all again with no ammo.
Jar-5 is still better in almost all situations. Just look at the DPS. 15 per mag for Jar, 30 for Judy. But the Jar does 3X more dmg per shot, and it staggers.
That's a different topic, It's an Explosive weapon and it's a top weapon for Explosive Weapon.. This is just an Assault Rifle... Ofcourse Jar-5 is still better overall 💯
I thought the Adjudicator was a slower version of a bolt action shotgun-rifle-thing that ye has to re-chamber after each shot (with the pull leaver animation after each shot), that intro is nothing like the thing was month or so back when I tried it and tossed it in the useless bin. So that is why some were saying it's a great weapon, only for me to get it after it was nerfed and question if we are playing the same game, lol. I will give the thing one more try. (edit) ok, thing fires like in this vid now, no more waiting a second or so between shots.
No it is not better then tenderizer, not even before tenderizer get buffed. It is difficult to shoot accurately, the recoil is too much . It misses target a lot more , by the time you wait till it is stablelize , you already get hit back by enemies(automatons). If you expect high damage from each shoot, sniper rifler(forget the name), dominator or scorcher would be better option
I just left when u said its good against small enemys. Bro it cannt oneshoot the smallest bug not to mention fighting against a lot of hunter. U dont know what u talking about. If u want an actually good review: - small enemys - terrible, use fire breaker - hive guards and brood mothers - that where it shines - spewers - useable, better then breaker but not enough dps when 3-4 bile spewer comes at u. - chargers - use support weapon, it can kill it but any weapon can if u stun it.

@@WayaliciousTV Then what are we based on how effective against small targets. Its not about the breaker but i have to give a reason why would anyone play this and not the meta. And i think i gave a good point why to use it but fighting small enemys is definetly not one of them. This is a great option against medium targets but after 5 game post patch on tier 9 difficulty its not good enough against a giant horde of chaff. Its not enjoyable or effective.

And after they watch this, it all Depends on a players preferences. If they will pick this on a mission or not. I tested it, and i can say with confidence that its better than most ARs save for Tenderizer, but not exactly one of the best guns for bugs, you will be in some pretty stressful situations that a gun with more ammo could get you out of when you're swarmed.

after the patch I've heard several recomendetions including my buddies So I usually started to give a try to this. This gun really surprises me as even after the release according to the stats it looked quite decent. maybe its not performing not as good as it should be but many who put it F tier are completely wrong So each time I tryed I just found the same conclusions Its me wrong when I am trying to rely on stats thinking on quality of this weapon. This gun is still actually one of the worst guns in the game and for real it absolutely deserves exactly F tier. C\D tier is something for the weapons that are underperforming. This is not the case. This worthless shit is just not performing at all Starting from the worst disadvantage - recoil. Basically thats a general reason why this weapon is so terrible. I just tryed even single shot mode to increase the accuracy but its litteraly impossible to quickly take down hunters that are comming for you. you kinda have no time to aim and you have to change targets quickly. Huge recoil bothers you not only on close range to not waste the ammo but actually doesn't allows you to take significant number of enemies that are comming to you. And when the close combat starts the ammo economy just shows how useless this gun is as its impossible to control the recoild in difficult situation when you are constantly moving. The key difference between this gun and regular liberator is that liberator hits not as hard but this gun doesn't hit at all but also has less ammo But its a mid pen and designed for automatons better! But... gun with bad aim can even feel good on automatons? Here comes another point that is more about exactly what tricks the mind of people who may think that "wow this weapon is so strong" People says that weapons are underperfroming in this game But if you will put to the test each weapon you will realise that each weapon could kill any enemy pretty quick. Even berserkers that a so annoying by their hp could be killed relatively fast by any weapons if the shots are accurate. So on this video you can see that dude uses the stun granades making the enemy to not backfire etc to make sure that he will lend good shots. But even on devastators part we may see how great is performance of this weapon with about 20 bullets per devastator. Meaning that 2 mags ~ 3 devastators while erruptor for example takes 1 mag to kill 2.5-3 devastators on long distance shooting any body part and even shield... not to count aoe. Yes with headshots it takes only 2 for devastator... but its basically difficult to land two accurate shots in a row... not to mention that you could hit not exactly head with first shots. Thats a key difference to light pen assult rifles such as liberator, sickle, tenderizer... regular dilligence, defender and even pistol from polar patriots. You can land two accurate shots without paying much effort for it. And on your tests you are hitting weak spots too... so whats a point in this one if its much harder to aim? This part will make more sense for the final conlusions. As I stated above - weapons are not as weak as people think. But why then people feel so bad about the majority of arsenal? Because helldivers 2 is kind of horde shooter. This game means fighting the large amount of enemy meaning that you will not have that much time to aim good. In such design the accurate weapons are usually lacks in speed but the aim is rewarding. The issue is so many weapons or I'll say enemy design requires the great accuracy but so few weapons are rewarding you for it. And adjudicator isn't one of them. If liberator could at least try to deal with hordes - adjudicator just could not due to the reason that is stated above but there is one more reason that multiplies the disguist when you are using it. So basically its a damage. It doesn't reward your accuracy. Little bugs on your video are dying from 1 shot because you are shooting them to the head. Any weapon oneshots them then. The issue is that it doesn't oneshots the smallest thing in the body. Hunters could not be killed in 2 shots if its not headshots. How you are going to aim when 7 berskers are comming for you - I have no idea. So the laser accuracy makes the tenderizer great as its great at doing its job instead of taking extra advantage of medium pen... that in fact gives you nothing because damage is so low. And here comes the comparance to the deligence cs that feels so great and especially comparing to this gun. Deligence cs takes down in one shot the small bots and devastators with headshot. Actually deligence cs has introduced the breakpoint concept to helldivers 2. The concept that basically mean that even if guns are so slightly different in stats that actual performance of these makes a TWICE difference. --------------- So the general conclusion is that stats are just stats. Stats defines abilities of weapons and exactly abilities matters. The truth is if the breakpoint is not reached it doesn't matter how high the damage is. It doesn't matter that sickle has 55 damage but adjudicator 80 is basically both cannot kill hunter in 2 body shots. It matters with tenderizer's 95 that reaches the breakpoint and kills it 2 shots and none of deligence's are perfroming better on bugs. Adjudicator is on the same level of damage as liberator for the regular enemy The truth is handling matters and it worth to trade handling for damage in exceptionaly good cases such as dominator. And honestly scorcher and my beloved eruptor are still debatable The truth medium pen makes the good gun great. But mid pen doesn't really matter if the weapon is weak because it excludes the elites from the scope what this gun is used for. Then the mid pen doesn't really gives any advantage. Thats why liberator penetrator sucks too. Thats why deligence cs stoped to suck only after improvement of handling AND slight increase of damage that reached the break point. The mid pen on this weapon doesn't means much and thats why for some people regular deligence is still more preferable. The truth is high recoil and high fire rate is the worst balancing combo at all. In term of balancing such weapon should highly reward the user with damage output. I mean not even solid because it still makes the use of weapon to be debatable. I mean exactly high. Despite dominator is so great - its highly recommended to use it from first person because the recoil is large. -------- So in fact the adjudicator is a unique weapon that basically has NO advantages and one of the highest penalties in the game. Thats exactly what makes the adjudicator not the regular or not good gun. Its exactly F tier terrible weapon. There is no specific advantage that will justify its pick and actually EVERY side weapon is performing better and more satisfying And for all people who enjoy the adjudicator I can recommend only to try using the defender. I am not sure is there any significant difference with pummeler .. so basiclly pummeler is better. Just I mean due to their low recoil and increased damage - its not so bad in drilling into the heavier enemy like brood commanders and bile spewers. They are pretty accurate and with good fire rate. basically both are similar to adjudicator in stats just without its downsides.

Thing is amazing against bugs! I don't need to think about aiming at the weak/soft spots since it penetrates everything from Brood Mothers to Hive Guards and Brood Commanders! Only thing that it can't get through is Charger and Bile Titan armor, but once that front armor is stripped off, it's fair game, sure that the damage isn't the highest compared to other primary choices like the Tenderizer that also got a buff, but that Medium Armor Penetrations is just too good, not to mention the increased magazine size buff

Dang, if only there were another weapon class with machine guns carrying upwards of 75 rounds.

This has solidly been my preferred weapon in the game, even before it got buffed and had its classification changed to 'Assault Rifle.'
Yeap, I used it against bot trash, use it like a DMR and either 3rd or 1st person and it worked great, usually when I had the ammo backpack though with something like EATs or AMR.

they need to under stand that they need to balance guns around the scorcher,incbreaker,Counter sniper. Cus the rest are like you constantly reload and kill 1 medium enemy.

One of my main complaints of the new patch is how they've changed how the guns are strapped to your character. This is evident while walking around in your ship. Before shotguns were perfectly fine mounted on your side. Now, they sit so high that the buttock of the shotgun is practically sitting at face height. WTF!! This reason alone, I've stopped using the breaker incendiary and went to my Arc Blitzer, which sits perfect.
Other guns, too, now sit too high like the Adjudicator. I wish the Devs would pay attention as to how these are set on the characters.
I slightly noticed that too the way it holstered on our side.. But yeah It's still fine and still having some fun afterall xD
@WayaliciousTV yeah, I'm just nitpicking really. I wish someone with some better knowledge on how these guns should be holstered would adjust each primary weapon accordingly. It looks like there's some default point of contact mount they all shared, so when they shift the new mount position, it affects all. They need to make each one different.

I would love to be able to customize our guns again. Even if we could only choose like 2/5 available upgrades at once, the little bit of edge would be amazingly useful. I also understand that this is asking alot since it would require a new system and new models to be fundamentally made and designed from the ground up.
That would change the game forever, and I assume that would be the biggest update for the game...

That medium pen does wonders blowing legs and arms off most medium enemies. I use it in semi auto to prevent over shot, and boost accuracy. Likewise, because it has double the capacity of the Counter Sniper. You can afford to miss a few shots, and you still have the versatility to switch to full auto in a pinch. That said, as an AR its recoil and spread are noticeable in full auto. And as a marksmans rifle, the DCS is a bit ahead if you can land your shots.
Tip for using it full auto - try to engage at longer ranges than you would with ARs, then crouch when firing. The extra distance will keep enemies from meleeing you while you're stationary, and crouching will give you the recoil reduction to shoot with some accuracy.
Yeah, Adju- become so fun to use. It can deal with everything below charger if hit on the head (like 5 shot on bile spewer head) and can be good against devastator (with reduce recoil armor, i guess). Love it 100/100.
Yes indeed it is... it became fun after the update.. The reason why I'm shooting Spewer's sacks is to showcase how quickly we can kill it through shooting it's durable body parts... Thanks man!
the only fully automatic weapon i find fun and useful is the sickle, idk why no other auto weapon has no near close to the ammo in the mag

This tells how all auto primaries underperform if anything.
ARs could all use faster reloads and a larger ammo pool. Maybe they will feel better when mid range combat becomes more frequent
Yeah this gun is better than the tenderizer when it comes to just breaking up anything in front of it.
Still has rough recoil so it is recommended to burst fire at longer ranges.
I find the recoil a bit much on this gun, but that said it's miles ahead of the Liberator Penetrator. If I want something with medium pen to take down bug hordes I'll usually just drop with the MG-43.

Adjudicator is solid if you use it on Semi Auto mode and you blast anything like stalkers with the three barreled shotgun if they get too close. 🤣🤣🤣
Love those first 4 examples in the opening video. How often are Chargers, Tanks, and Hulks completely by themselves with literally no other enemies around? These scenarios will never happen organically. You will never have time to sit behind them and mag dump, reload, mag dump again, without being SWARMED by adds. Hey look how good this primary is! 🙄
Exactly this... dropped solo on a bot planet between 2 gunship factories, a mortar, stratagem disruptor, and the second i touched the ground, flares went up... and brought 4 hulks and 2 factory striders. Now that is a terrible landing, it doesn't happen oftee but it has more chances of happening than the scenario above.
Pro tip, Armors with the Fortified or Engineering ability work pretty good for the adjudicator
This rifle does a huge amount damage. It does have nice amount of mags and has 30 rounds per mag. Medium armour rounds also means multi purpose weapon.
The weirdness of it having medium armor penetration while doing less damage than other rifles means you’ll be damaging stuff you couldn’t with some of the other ARs but requiring more shots to bring the target down.
It's has a faster kill on light armor than light pen ars. When you meet the armor value you get the white x (50%) damage. If you overpen, you get a red x (100%)
So that entire 80 is applied to any bug other than hive guard armor and higher, and half of that 80 is applied to devistator armor as it's all medium armor on that front -.-
I also know about falloff and such, those are just the base numbers to work with

Game deceive you with numbers, most ARs are on low end of light armor penetration which mean they deal half damage to targets where it matters most- brood commanders, nursing spewers etc.Tenderizer is on par with liberator penetrator against these targets
think the tenderizer would need a higher mag cap to compete with this gun, the shots to kill on chaff are basically the same except this can deal with the guards and commanders way more efficiently.
I want to love the adjudicator, its still lacking. The recoil still feels jacked, even when prone with reduction armor. I dont know if its a bug, if not then id like to see a burst mode with much higher durable part damage and some stagger... How can a gun that staggers the operator not stagger the target???
I would like to see this as a gun that isnt great for on the move, but if you take a knee or go prone, you can do some work.
I agree with the recoil, That's why every player hates this... But I love covering all of weapons :)
Being stationary and taking crouching or prone stances, picking your shots, is how you use this weapon against bots. But you charge the enemy, actively fighting the recoil impulse, when using this gun with bugs. It's similar to how you use the Knight SMG against the two factions, in a way.
One of the best primaries in the game right now, for Supply Pack mains at least.

All the weapons would be good if there weren't 50 enemies charging you all at once. Even if you manage to beat them all, there will always been one that calls in a bug breach that makes you fight them all again with no ammo.

It's not 20% more damage to durable parts. It's increase to 20% from 10% so it's 100% more damage.
Durable parts has it's Own HP more like a Limb Health, you deal 20% more durable damage with this weapon in that area only

Jar-5 is still better in almost all situations.
Just look at the DPS. 15 per mag for Jar, 30 for Judy. But the Jar does 3X more dmg per shot, and it staggers.
That's a different topic, It's an Explosive weapon and it's a top weapon for Explosive Weapon.. This is just an Assault Rifle... Ofcourse Jar-5 is still better overall 💯

I thought the Adjudicator was a slower version of a bolt action shotgun-rifle-thing that ye has to re-chamber after each shot (with the pull leaver animation after each shot), that intro is nothing like the thing was month or so back when I tried it and tossed it in the useless bin. So that is why some were saying it's a great weapon, only for me to get it after it was nerfed and question if we are playing the same game, lol. I will give the thing one more try.

Bigger magazine and id use this easy. Its wayyyyyyy to small as a primary to be of any use vs the hundreds of enemies you face
No it is not better then tenderizer, not even before tenderizer get buffed. It is difficult to shoot accurately, the recoil is too much . It misses target a lot more , by the time you wait till it is stablelize , you already get hit back by enemies(automatons). If you expect high damage from each shoot, sniper rifler(forget the name), dominator or scorcher would be better option
The handling is a bit slow too compared to the tenderizer, the only edge here is the Medium armor pen rounds...
Throw on 50round mag and I'm all about it. 30 just isn't gonna cut it
Its good now as long as i have ammo backpack, having tons of grenades as an added bonus doesnt hurt either

If u want an actually good review:
- small enemys - terrible, use fire breaker
- hive guards and brood mothers - that where it shines
- spewers - useable, better then breaker but not enough dps when 3-4 bile spewer comes at u.
- chargers - use support weapon, it can kill it but any weapon can if u stun it.

Its not about the breaker but i have to give a reason why would anyone play this and not the meta.
And i think i gave a good point why to use it but fighting small enemys is definetly not one of them. This is a great option against medium targets but after 5 game post patch on tier 9 difficulty its not good enough against a giant horde of chaff. Its not enjoyable or effective.

This will be my finale post becouse u clearly doesnt understand that the gun is not in a vacuum, its value is determined based on comparison to the other weapons but let me be clear: U are wrong becouse its not a good weapon against small targets, it has bad dmg breakpoints and to little magazine capacity.
And until you dont get why the more experienced players didnt pick this up regurarly u shouldnt make guides and misslead the beginners.

What i Like about this Adjudicator is it's Medium Pen Armor Rounds... Sickle has a pretty much infinite ammo and can do shoot exposed areas all day xD
well, sickle needs to spin up before it shoot which isn't great in unexpected situation
I tested it, and i can say with confidence that its better than most ARs save for Tenderizer, but not exactly one of the best guns for bugs, you will be in some pretty stressful situations that a gun with more ammo could get you out of when you're swarmed.
Or a gun with better AoE

check the Patch notes again... from 10% to 20% and it's not twice or double damage

after the patch I've heard several recomendetions including my buddies
So I usually started to give a try to this. This gun really surprises me as even after the release according to the stats it looked quite decent. maybe its not performing not as good as it should be but many who put it F tier are completely wrong
So each time I tryed I just found the same conclusions
Its me wrong when I am trying to rely on stats thinking on quality of this weapon. This gun is still actually one of the worst guns in the game and for real it absolutely deserves exactly F tier.
C\D tier is something for the weapons that are underperforming. This is not the case. This worthless shit is just not performing at all
Starting from the worst disadvantage - recoil.
Basically thats a general reason why this weapon is so terrible. I just tryed even single shot mode to increase the accuracy but its litteraly impossible to quickly take down hunters that are comming for you. you kinda have no time to aim and you have to change targets quickly.
Huge recoil bothers you not only on close range to not waste the ammo but actually doesn't allows you to take significant number of enemies that are comming to you.
And when the close combat starts the ammo economy just shows how useless this gun is as its impossible to control the recoild in difficult situation when you are constantly moving.
The key difference between this gun and regular liberator is that liberator hits not as hard but this gun doesn't hit at all but also has less ammo
But its a mid pen and designed for automatons better! But... gun with bad aim can even feel good on automatons?
Here comes another point that is more about exactly what tricks the mind of people who may think that "wow this weapon is so strong"
People says that weapons are underperfroming in this game
But if you will put to the test each weapon you will realise that each weapon could kill any enemy pretty quick. Even berserkers that a so annoying by their hp could be killed relatively fast by any weapons if the shots are accurate.
So on this video you can see that dude uses the stun granades making the enemy to not backfire etc to make sure that he will lend good shots. But even on devastators part we may see how great is performance of this weapon with about 20 bullets per devastator. Meaning that 2 mags ~ 3 devastators while erruptor for example takes 1 mag to kill 2.5-3 devastators on long distance shooting any body part and even shield... not to count aoe.
Yes with headshots it takes only 2 for devastator... but its basically difficult to land two accurate shots in a row... not to mention that you could hit not exactly head with first shots.
Thats a key difference to light pen assult rifles such as liberator, sickle, tenderizer... regular dilligence, defender and even pistol from polar patriots. You can land two accurate shots without paying much effort for it. And on your tests you are hitting weak spots too... so whats a point in this one if its much harder to aim?
This part will make more sense for the final conlusions.
As I stated above - weapons are not as weak as people think. But why then people feel so bad about the majority of arsenal?
Because helldivers 2 is kind of horde shooter. This game means fighting the large amount of enemy meaning that you will not have that much time to aim good. In such design the accurate weapons are usually lacks in speed but the aim is rewarding. The issue is so many weapons or I'll say enemy design requires the great accuracy but so few weapons are rewarding you for it.
And adjudicator isn't one of them. If liberator could at least try to deal with hordes - adjudicator just could not due to the reason that is stated above but there is one more reason that multiplies the disguist when you are using it.
So basically its a damage. It doesn't reward your accuracy.
Little bugs on your video are dying from 1 shot because you are shooting them to the head. Any weapon oneshots them then. The issue is that it doesn't oneshots the smallest thing in the body.
Hunters could not be killed in 2 shots if its not headshots.
How you are going to aim when 7 berskers are comming for you - I have no idea.
So the laser accuracy makes the tenderizer great as its great at doing its job instead of taking extra advantage of medium pen... that in fact gives you nothing because damage is so low.
And here comes the comparance to the deligence cs that feels so great and especially comparing to this gun.
Deligence cs takes down in one shot the small bots and devastators with headshot. Actually deligence cs has introduced the breakpoint concept to helldivers 2.
The concept that basically mean that even if guns are so slightly different in stats that actual performance of these makes a TWICE difference.

So the general conclusion is that stats are just stats. Stats defines abilities of weapons and exactly abilities matters.
The truth is if the breakpoint is not reached it doesn't matter how high the damage is. It doesn't matter that sickle has 55 damage but adjudicator 80 is basically both cannot kill hunter in 2 body shots. It matters with tenderizer's 95 that reaches the breakpoint and kills it 2 shots and none of deligence's are perfroming better on bugs. Adjudicator is on the same level of damage as liberator for the regular enemy
The truth is handling matters and it worth to trade handling for damage in exceptionaly good cases such as dominator. And honestly scorcher and my beloved eruptor are still debatable
The truth medium pen makes the good gun great. But mid pen doesn't really matter if the weapon is weak because it excludes the elites from the scope what this gun is used for. Then the mid pen doesn't really gives any advantage. Thats why liberator penetrator sucks too. Thats why deligence cs stoped to suck only after improvement of handling AND slight increase of damage that reached the break point. The mid pen on this weapon doesn't means much and thats why for some people regular deligence is still more preferable.
The truth is high recoil and high fire rate is the worst balancing combo at all. In term of balancing such weapon should highly reward the user with damage output. I mean not even solid because it still makes the use of weapon to be debatable. I mean exactly high. Despite dominator is so great - its highly recommended to use it from first person because the recoil is large.

So in fact the adjudicator is a unique weapon that basically has NO advantages and one of the highest penalties in the game.
Thats exactly what makes the adjudicator not the regular or not good gun. Its exactly F tier terrible weapon. There is no specific advantage that will justify its pick and actually EVERY side weapon is performing better and more satisfying
And for all people who enjoy the adjudicator I can recommend only to try using the defender. I am not sure is there any significant difference with pummeler .. so basiclly pummeler is better.
Just I mean due to their low recoil and increased damage - its not so bad in drilling into the heavier enemy like brood commanders and bile spewers. They are pretty accurate and with good fire rate.
basically both are similar to adjudicator in stats just without its downsides.

But Personally I enjoyed using the Adjudicator with my build loadout.
