Love this. This would be great using the small eggs from the dollar store and decorate around Easter, to leave on paths or in parks like the painted rocks people put for others to find! Thank you for this crafty share🤗.💕✌️
What a great idea! Love using the eggs for molds. I'm really excited this year to start working with cement. I'm a painter, so I use all different size eggs, even some that are over a foot tall..I start with a base coat on my eggs if whatever color I want then I actually paint something in my eggs. This year I painted several in the MacKenzie Childs black and white checks, then paint some gorgeous flowers and vines. This year I've used dark and light purple and a terracotta orange, some pretty vines and leaves. ..I then used mine with a wooden dowel and made some beautiful topiaries. I'm definitely going to do the cement eggs! Can't wait!
I've been creating Fairy and Gnome homes. I also made some groot, Yoda, Chew gnomes for family members. I had a lot of scallop shells laying around so I painted some to be lady bugs, peacocks, flamingos and beach scenes.
I used to decorate for every holiday because I love them all. After last Christmas I decided I’m done. I’m the only one who decorates and I’m the only one who enjoyed it and the only one who cleaned it. So I’m done, done, done!
My name is Sandie and I live in Wisconsin. I made my husband slippers for Christmas and he has worn them out. I made new ones and had to come up with some way to prevent them from slipping. I tried using puffy paint and that didn't work. I then tried using glue and that didn't work. I just used shelf liner, the rubber stuff. That is working great! My husband loves them! I am making another pair for him for Easter. I love the concrete eggs.
Hello, from BC Canada! These would be fun to try decoupage or even dot mandala painting on them. I like to make collages on canvas and I am in the middle of working on my biggest one yet. I'm also a summer girl and I prefer admiring winter from afar too. 😊
Yes I would paint them. I had my 3yo & my 8 yo grandchildren this weekend and we made a egg tree and a bunny wreath. They are 3 & 8 and did a great job.
I loved this! I would definitely paint and it and stencil or do some decoupage. The ideas are endless of what you can do. You can get really creative here. Thanks for sharing your talent with us.
I love these concrete eggs. Commenters are saying decoupage- fantastic idea. Thinking they will be so cute outside. Also various sizes. Not an Easter person, but I love birds and eggs.
WONDERFUL!! If anyone is concerned about the egg molds rolling they can set them in some sand. I might use the chalk paint as well and then flick another color of paint on in tiny specks by moving my thumb along an old toothbrush.
I'm making Easter Bunny trees. They are soooo darn cute. One is for my child's cardiologist to put in her office. I live in Houston TX and I'm 73 years old. Crafting is the ONLY thing that keeps me out of the NUT HOUSE. LOL Have a blessed day. Ms.Dusty Houston TX ❤️
The Michaels I work at still has some and they still have plenty of the kid craft scenes that go with them too… nice for the kids to do as a little gift for the “easter bunny” lol
I love the cement eggs! Last year for Halloween I made cement pumpkins using the plastic pumpkin buckets. They turned out really cute, the pumpkin face on the buckets comes onto the cement mold. I love in Minnesota born and raised here. But I wonder why do I still live in this deep freeze for more than half a year! I know now I'm complaining lol I just want spring to be warmer!! 😀♥️
These are so cool! I live in an apartment, so I can't do the cement as I don't have an outside to clean up. I've been making resin tumblers for about a year, beaded pens, keychains and potion bottles.
Don't really need to clean up outside. Just use a disposable bowl and gloves and throw away afterwards. I am going to try doing that next year as I am in the middle of moving right now. :)
Hi MaLea! I am currently living in OK too. Colorado born and raised and lived for 3 years in Bloomington MN. OK is def not as cold and snowy, but goodness it gets hot here! My current crafty thing is making something cool out of what would be garbage. Sometimes pretty good. A lot of the time fail! Still going to try! Decorative balls sound fun. What do you use?💛💛
Awesome! I'm definitely going to make some of these concrete eggs! Thank you for sharing. I am so glad I found your channel. I will definitely paint mine and probably seal them some how
Yes indeed I still live in Minnesota and I have had way more than my fair share of the cold I wish it would just go away however from the inside it is pretty as you said!!!
Hello from Australia. Loved both videos. And I will be looking out for stockists of Annie Sloan paints to try some eggs of my own as gifts. Cheers Marie’downunder’ 💕💕💕
Been making Easter decorations and love the concrete eggs. I will paint them for outdoor use. I live in Colorado and will start snow birding to Arizona, planed to do that last winter but to much came up.
I would leave some normal with the concrete color and then I would whitewash some of them to make them look old and weathered and then some I would paint and maybe put them in a large pot to make them look like an Easter basket.
I like the concrete eggs. Could paint them different colors and do a scavenger hunt with them. Give a color to start with and clues to find a big prize at the end of the hunt.
Hi I'm from Miami I saw this too late for this Easter but I will make some concrete eggs next year. I will get the molds on sale. I am going to paint a dinosaur egg for my grandson I might make a dragon egg too.
Good morning. Was wondering how to mix concrete for outdoor projects. I moved last July to my own home. Im going to make a huge garden in my backyard. I grew up in Aurora Colorado moved to Arkansas lived there 30 years then moved to Missouri. Lived here since 2007. I cant wait till weather is warmer so i can spend time outdoors in sunshine and fresh air. When I lived in Colorado my family and i spent lots of weekends exploring the Beautiful Rocky Mountains and Colorado Springs.
Love this. This would be great using the small eggs from the dollar store and decorate around Easter, to leave on paths or in parks like the painted rocks people put for others to find! Thank you for this crafty share🤗.💕✌️
Good idea but I was worried if some animals would think they are food for real.
@@aunttriciaattic well they definitely wouldn't smell like eggs😂, maybe paint. 😁 Definitely want to make the big one you made for decorating.♥️
I like how the texture the cement makes them look speckled already. These would make great dinosaur or dragon eggs too!

I'm old enough to remember when L'eggs pantyhose came in plastic eggs. Great for crafting. Your eggs are great
Love them! I would try decoupage on the large one and seal it. Paint the smaller to co-ordinate the colors!
My favorite season is winter, I love everything about winter, cozy sweater, fireplaces hot cocoa, everything.
Meee toooo... however, I've been crafting like a SOB for Easter!!
I've been creating Fairy and Gnome homes. I also made some groot, Yoda, Chew gnomes for family members. I had a lot of scallop shells laying around so I painted some to be lady bugs, peacocks, flamingos and beach scenes.

Christmas 💕 is my favorite time of the year.

Very cute. From the Eastern Shore of Maryland ❤️

Those are beautiful. =)
Tip: Wear a mitt or canvas glove when cutting with hot knife.
Love those eggs. You sound like Jennifer from "A Little Bit of Calm and Crazy". I like pastels for Easter. I'm from Victoria BC, Canada.
Summer! I'm in NW IN, let me tell you, being close to lake Michigan, or gets cold! I love my flowers and gardens - not winter friendly here 🌹
Hello from West Virginia loved everything and enjoyed watching Spring,Fall and winter (summer is hard on my breathing 😮💨)
I would use plaster for home decor but what you did was nice.
I hate the heat…prefer winter!
Definitely PAINT!!!
Hi I'm from Miami I saw this too late for this Easter but I will make some concrete eggs next year. I will get the molds on sale. I am going to paint a dinosaur egg for my grandson I might make a dragon egg too.
I took the very cheep Halloween buckets and filled them with concrete, painted them orange. That way I had a pumpkin on one side and a jackolant
I love the Lawn eggs. Try using Quickcreye from Lowe’s it doesn’t have the rocks in it I’m hoping to find the large eggs today
Thanksgiving and Christmas
I'd try to make more pits, fill the pits with dirt and cover it with moss.
