I have a deep admiration for this woman. She is the perfect example of a complete artist in every way. I am British with African and Arab ancestry. I spent over a year in Japan in the late 90s and then again for a few months in 2008. Listening to Misora Hibari's music really resonated with my mood and deepened my love for the country, its people, culture, and language. Her music has taught me a lot, and I continue to learn from it.
