This feels an awful lot like an episode of CANNONBALL, a series in which William Campbell and Paul Birch played a pair of long-haul truckers. I assumed at first that this was a pilot, but I see that it actually aired a year after CANNONBALL ended. Maybe it was a leftover script.
Fred Edge, who wrote this episode, was among the writers for "CANNONBALL". I suspect this *was* a "leftover" script he sold to Anthony Wilson and Bill Sackheim.
Thanks 🙏 for posting. Good one
Good story.
19:44- Actually a Standard/Chevron station (disguised as "Acme", for purposes of filming this episode).
"One head light. The wallflowers " !! 🤣🤣 Thanks for the upload !! Too bad William Campbell didn't become A Bigger name in Hollywood !!
